Android is still missing an accessibility option that helps greatly those of us who suffer from eye strain and headaches

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 11:50 AM PST

Eye strain is often caused by Pulse Width Modulation (a flickering of the display at certain frequencies) that is a particular issue for OLED screens. Your brain won't see it but the iris of your eye will keep expanding and contracting without your being aware of it other than your eyes will hurt after using your device for awhile or you may get a headache. Everyone has a different level of sensitivity to it.

One way to reduce it's effects such as setting your display to grayscale but the really good setting that iOS has in the accessibility settings but android (and even One UI) is missing is the ability to set a custom whitepoint

This is better than lowering the brightness, extra dim modes or yellow filters. It let you keep the brightness and contrast of the screen but takes aware the intensity of the white and much of the flickering issue with it. Since trying it on my mac and ipad i badly need it on my android phone too.

S22 Ultra zoom range is insane. S21 ultra was great, ai enhancements on new lineup make it far less noisy

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 03:36 PM PST

As stated above, s22 ultra really does a good job at 20x when it starts to put in a lot of ai work. It seems that the 20x zoom photos are far better than cropping a 10x in to 20x due to the enhancement of ai.

Might try to do a S21 ultra vs S22 Ultra zoom comparison soon.

GaryeonHan - Samsung created an app called GOS and used the app to limit game performance, making the gaming experience worse. However, according to what the Korean community found out today, Samsung confirmed that it has put performance limits on more than 10,000 apps.
