Internet needs to be active to install Windows 11? Posted: 26 Nov 2021 03:48 PM PST I plan on getting a new pc(prebuilt desktop) and notice a lot of them come with Windows 11 now. I was able to install Windows 10 without needing to be connected to the internet first, then I connected to my internet after I finished the setup process. I've been using my phone service internet with a usb tether to my pc. I'm hearing that Windows 11 requires an internet connection to install, does this mean unlike Windows 10 I just can't finish the setup and install it when I get my new pc? [link] [comments]
Your experience with Windows 11 sans TPM? Posted: 26 Nov 2021 05:11 PM PST So I'm thinking of reformat my laptop that comes with i5 7300hq with Windows 11. That laptop does not comes with TPM so I want to format W11 on it without TPM requirement using Rufus. Are they anyone of you who have done that and currently using Windows 11 bypassing TPM? How's your take on it? Are there any problem? [link] [comments]
Is there a way for me to switch my default username? Posted: 26 Nov 2021 12:46 PM PST If I get a new Windows computer and sign in with my Microsoft account, the default username for my account is my name but the first letter is lowercase. I would much rather have the first letter be uppercase. Is there any setting in my Microsoft account where I can change the default Windows username? I'm not even sure why the default username is my name but with the first letter lowercase, because I don't remember ever setting it to that. Also, I am aware that you can change the username after you set it up by running netplwiz, but the user folder has the old name and it can't be renamed. I know there is a workaround for that as well, but I would much rather just change the default username. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Nov 2021 02:51 PM PST I see in Task scheduler and in Apps and functions that Edge is been updated every day. But Edge is web browser, for windows updating we use Windows Update. I think that Edge is spying sh't like google's Chrome. I disabled these two tasks. [link] [comments]
