Posted: 02 Jul 2021 04:50 PM PDT I've been waiting to buy a new phone for what seems like years but everything from both sides seems so boring. I currently have the S8 active (bought at release) but modern phones just don't seem like that much of an upgrade from what I got. Am I just getting old and grumpy or are phones just boring nowadays? I keep thinking maybe AR glasses or something novel like that will get me excited, the folding phones didn't do it though. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Any way to separate my working apps from private on the same phone ? Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:49 AM PDT Hi, I just started a new job and they don't give a second sim card as with my previous employers. Now I am used to have two phones just to be absolutely sure I'm not going to be harassed on weekend/holidays, but here a second sim card is not an option. Is there any other way I could segregate my applications/environments to "shut down" work ? I tried to ignore the notifications in the past weeks but Teams popups and Outlook emails are hard to overlook. I know in the past there was something like "multiple users", but I think Samsung removed the feature ? I have a Samsung S10+. Thanks for your help. [link] [comments]  | ||

It's not that it won't connect its just that is doesn't even turn on. I had a phone repair store tell me the hardware is fine and samsung told me the software is fine. Any fixes? What is the recommended upgrade after the s10? Spendage isn't a huge issue but my main interest is in long battery life, screen resolution and performance. Posted: 02 Jul 2021 06:00 PM PDT Hey so I think the title says it all, a friend of mine gave me his old NOTE 9, it has a broken glass (not screen) he said that the screen would not always respond to the touch after glass broke broke, tough so far ive been testing it for a couple of hours and haven had any touch issues. I'm thinking if i should fix the screen or use the Samsung Trade In and buy a more modern but cheaper model (samsung only offers 150$ for Note 9) Ive never handled a top of the line phone and even with a broken screen im amazed at the responsiveness, screen, camera and sound quality of this old but very nice phone compared to my Honor 8X... Just wanted an opinion from the side what should i go for new but cheap and not full of features phone but with Android 12 and all its benefits OR Old Note but with a fixed screen (will cost me around 200$), top of the line specs but Android 10, tough i just updated it and i have the latest June 2021 security patch Thank you in advance guys! Everything is okay except for one thing, the notifications. If connected with my phone through Bluetooth, I could see all my notifications that pops up on my phone. I'm told Samsung throttles gaming performance thanks to something called "Game Optimizing Service"... Anyway i could disable this? | Burn in after 3 days low usage Posted: 02 Jul 2021 02:34 PM PDT Hi I have been using a72 for probably 3 days now, this is my first time with oled screens. From the beginning I use brightness 20~ or less, no static images for a long time. Generally i did not use smartphone much I've written before that you can find backlighting in the corners of the screen like on lcd, only on oled it can't happen. Another problem despite of my caring about the screen is what I saw a moment ago. The screen started to burn after 3 days... And it's not some app screens. It looks like some kind of weird deformation some pixels brighter others darker are forming different shapes. Of course this is best seen on gray tones and whites. It seems to me that simply the screen is damaged. Question for people with a72 does it also look like this? [link] [comments]  |
