When is MIUI 12.5 Global Coming Out?

    Posted: 03 May 2021 05:16 PM PDT

I have a Mi 10 5G and it's been over a month since the launch of the Chinese Stable. I've been really looking forward to this release for months now because it's going to fix a couple of the most annoying bugs. Any idea when it will launch?

Is Redmi Note 10 pro the best phone under $300?

    Posted: 03 May 2021 09:46 PM PDT

I heard a lot of issues about this phone, about it stuttering a lot, display touch is bad and software bugs. I watched a lot of reviews, most say either the phone is very bad or very good, no middle ground

So I'm kind of hesitant on buying this phone and I'm currently holding an Mi A2 so anything would be an improvement but I have terrible history with this phone so I can't trust Xiaomi anymore. That's why I came here to ask, is there any other phones that are better than the RN10P under $300? or a phone with better performance overall even from older gens

My usage is almost only social media surfing or browsing. I don't play games at all.

And yes I have the Poco X3 or NFC in mind but I don't like the design of that phone, If it's completely better than the RN10P I might end up getting it

I live in a clean air area, my filters keep saying they need a replacement after a month, is there a way to cover the sensor for the filter so it stops asking to be replaced?

Poco F3 resetting to 60 Fps even in 120fps mode.

    Posted: 03 May 2021 02:10 PM PDT

    Hello,

I bought a Poco F3 today. The 120Hz are very smooth, I like it. But every time after I wake up my phone from standby its locked on 60Hz. And I need to change it back to 60Hz and again on 120Hz to have the 120Hz back. I don't know why. Any ideas?

How can I lock apps in memory on my Redmi Note 9, miui 12.0.9?

    Posted: 03 May 2021 03:00 PM PDT

Hi, I'm on stock 12.0.9.0 (QJOEUXM - global EU channel). This update redacted the facility to lock apps in memory and select Split Screen from the Recents menu (apparently it was unstable for some users - it's to come back in a later update).

So, as it stands when you long press an app in the Recents menu, instead of being offered Split Screen, Lock, Info, it just takes you directly to App Info.

Until it's fixed, does anyone know of another way to lock apps in memory?

It's getting very annoying having miui kill processes all the time.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    Mi 11 Ultra

    Posted: 03 May 2021 08:06 PM PDT

Is the Mi 11 Ultra launching in India at all? They've been at a 'coming soon' status for 2 weeks now.

Anyway I've also heard that the charger that comes with this variant is 55W as opposed to the 67W charger that is originally meant for this device? Would the 67W charger (if bought seperately) be incompatible with the Indian variant?

Is there any way to enable group notifications on MIUI 12 by chance? I didn't know if there was a hidden setting that you could turn on because I miss having groups notifications.

Mi 11 Global, miui 12.04 not connecting to PC using USB

    Posted: 03 May 2021 07:21 PM PDT

Hi guys, I'm currently having trouble with my Xiaomi Mi 11 Global in which I can't access the phone's files on the computer when I connect it using USB and I was hoping to ask for help.

I have already followed the instructions I found online in which I've turned on the USB debugging in the dev options, set the default USB configuration to file transfer, installed the wpdmtp.inf file in my laptop, and tried restarting both phone and pc after installing yet I still can't access my phone's files.

Also I doubled check to find that it's not the USB cord nor the USB outlet that's the problem since my brother's OnePlus 6 can be accessed in the PC just fine.

Other things that I noticed is I haven't heard any connecting sound in my PC when the phone is connected, the phone just charges when it's connected in the PC, and I can't find my phone on the device manager.

Any help for this one would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Poco X3 NFC or X3 Pro, which one should I get?

    Posted: 03 May 2021 04:23 AM PDT

The only difference is the camera and the SoCs, I just want a phone with a good camera, nothing else. I don't care about the processor or updates, the nfc has the Sony 64MP sensor, but I've heard that the X3 pro takes better pictures with the older 48MP because it has better software, which could be true since it has a better processor which has a role in camera performance.

So what do you guys think? Should I save money and buy the NFC or just get the new one?

Phone unusable : Random sim card disconnect

    Posted: 03 May 2021 02:08 PM PDT

Bumping the phone will disconnect/reconnect the sim card!

But the problem sometimes disappear for a week.. And then the next day, the smallest bump will disconnect the sim card. After 2-3 disconnection and reconnection 4g will not work unless I reboot the device.

Also, it detects a sim card, but fail to use it. If I remove the sim card.. it will take less than a minute to detect it's gone..

When I shake the phone, I can hear something small moving a bit..

I've tried : ordering a new sim card. Putting tape in the back of the simcard (to "push it against the contacts" : this did nothing ! Last time I removed the tape and it worked perfectly for three days, and then back to unusable. I don't understand what's up at all). Switching spots, using 1 sim, 2 sim cards. They would more often than not disconnect at the same time !

So there might be another physical component somewhere that is dangling? Did anyone ever have something similar?

Phone is a mi mix 2s, only had it for 2 years and this issue is the most annoying thing in the world.

My redmi9 keeps activating my day-long package even if forbid my mobile to do so

    Posted: 03 May 2021 05:24 PM PDT

You see, im not much of a mobile user when i go outside so i have the standard 250 mb for a day package when i activate it. The issue is, my redmi9 keeps transfering over 50kb of mobile data, thus activating the package. I forbid every single app in my phone (including the system ones), but with no success. The analytic board of the mobile data usage shows that any app in particular hasn't transferred them, so I can't possibly know what causes the problem. I highly doubt that this is my mobile operator's fault, since I've never switched him and I hadn't the issue on my previous Xiaomi mobile. Any idea what might be the problem? Thank you.

Why my brand new Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic sometimes doesn't play sound for two seconds? It's starts to happen more often!

    Posted: 03 May 2021 01:34 PM PDT

I just bought a brand new Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, and when i connected to my Redmi Note 8T, it sayed that my device doesn't support some AAC or something like that, and it will be probles to play sound, and sometimes, it doesn't play sound for two seconds. It wasn't a problem in beggining, but it starts to happen more often! Do i have a wrong Xiaomi phone? Do i need to buy a Mi phone instead of Redmi? Let me know!
