Does anyone have experience with the HP Z1 Workstation Entry Tower?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 12:53 PM PST

The Z1 workstations are generally high spec desktop towers sold by HP. In 2019, they were selling an Entry Tower model at retailers in the US, with lower specs like 8 GB of RAM and a (awfully slow) rotational HDD. The motherboard has a slot for an M.2 "2280" NVME PCIe SSD. I plan on upgrading the hard drive but I won't be able to open it up for a few days.

What I asking specifically is -- does the MB have the the screw to secure the NVME drive or do I need to buy the screw separately?

Windows 7 Locked No Admin Reset

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 02:05 PM PST

Recently bought my parents a desktop just to have at the house. Mistake #1 was buying it off of Marketplace. It is running Windows 7 but is stuck with an administrator password and has random stuff on it (I think it is an old corporate desktop). No matter how I try to reset it nothing seems to be working, because every single time it asks for an admin password. Anyone know how to bypass this? Please!!!

Got a notification that a trojan was found on my pc

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 04:42 AM PST

I downloaded a file around 5 min ago and 4 min ago i got a notification that a trojan was found, i'm on task manager right now and my CPU usage is around 95-100% but i'm doing a full scan. I deleted the file before i got the notification.

    I went into event viewer:

Microsoft Defender Antivirus has detected malware or other potentially unwanted software.

For more information please see the following:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=37020&name=Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C5B&threatid=2147756048&enterprise=0

Every time i do a full scan the trojan keeps showing up again, really scary.

    Name: Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C5B
