    Why?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 01:51 AM PDT

Just bought the Mi 10 (8gb ram , 256gb storage) and let me tell us folks...

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 01:07 PM PDT

This thing is amazing . Yeah, the size is pretty big, especially compared to my previous phone the iPhone 8, but man, this thing is fast and fluid. All of the animations are so nice and smooth.

MIUI 12 - They really did some improvements here, I remember my Mi 6 with older version of MIUI and they really done some stuff here. This is like a completely different versions on MIUI . I like it a lot. I was actually torn apart for a long time between Oxygen OS and MIUI and after seeing some reviews I went with MIUI , as fas as I saw it, Oxygen OS was lacking some features and most importantly the polish of some key features in the UI and UX. For me MIUI is better visually and functionally.

Haptics - oh boy do I love a good haptic motor, that's one of the reasons I stayed with my iPhone for so long , the precise haptic feedback is indeed important. And it's here, I feel it now when I type this, good precise haptic feedback . Good job Xiaomi.

Needless to say that the screen is amazing and the curves on the sides barely noticeable, it only makes the phone look damn sexy and sleek.

So glad I went with Mi 10 and not OnePlus 8 . Really liking this OS and device.

I guess I'm a part of the community now. Good to be here fellas.

Redmi Note 8 finally gets its MIUI 12 update based on Android 10

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 06:42 AM PDT

Can we put another thing to the left side of lockscreen? It only has Mi Controller and i don't need it. It's useless.

Is there something similar to LED notifications for Xiaomi full-screen phones?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 08:42 PM PDT

I have a Mi 10 Ultra and there's one problem, I don't get any kind of notification when one comes in when my phone is in sleep mode. As a result, I have to keep waking the screen every once in a while to make sure I don't miss out any important messages etc.

Yes I'm aware there is AOD, but I don't use AOD all the time especially when I'm moving around a lot and it eats a lot of battery too. Plus, though I do get notifications on the AOD, I found that is does not really update as per real time. Not sure if this problem is found on my device only.

So, is there any way to either let the phone wake the screen itself when a notification comes in, or any app that shows a LED ring around the punch hole camera? (I found a few on the Playstore but sadly none of them are compatible with my device model.)

How's emulator performance on a Mi 10 Ultra?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 07:54 PM PDT

Has anyone tried Redream, Mupen64, Dolphin, or any other high end emulator with this? I'm very sensitive to performance drops, so the more vouches, the merrier. Also, has anyone tried fps unlock codes with games that're capped at 30fps by default? If so, could they hold 60fps?

I remember seeing the now "outdated" ROG Phone II holding a near locked 30fps in MW3 Wii, a mobile emulator benchmark of sorts that's notorious for being insanely demanding, so I'm optimistic.

Why you are not getting your update

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 12:13 PM PDT

This is the same with most updates. The updates only have a limited amount of slots and when those are full they wait a bit and then give it to everyone. This is so if there's a big bug they didn't notice they don't bug every phone (There have been bugs breaking some phones and similar)

Realme X2 pro to swap for Mi10Mi10T Lite,(is that phone cheap junk ??) ☹️

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 11:03 AM PDT

I've been eyeing this phone for a few weeks now(10T Lite),I was going to get the 9t last year but didn't and I ended up getting the X2 pro which for the most part has been an excellent device and obviously much more powerful,

I'm someone who gets bored of my phone and regularly change it at least every 2 years.

The X2 pro is good in every department but the camera let's it down a lot and the 4000mah battery is decent but it can run down fairly quickly, The software is actually good on the Realme,

Would I be crazy to straight swap my X2 pro for a mi 10t lite,

Things I like about it are:

the Sony 64mp camera Big 2 day battery I like iPS screens and 120hz sounds good I'm interested to try MiUI There are dual speakers,

Basically it has all the essential things I would need
And I'm not a gamer but do browse a lot of social media and web ,news etc.

Has anyone moved from a more powerful device to the mi 10t lite ?

What are your impressions so far ? Or is anyone considering it ? Am I stupid/crazy to want to move to this Perhaps lower end device ?
