Tip: Seems you can record calls on Android 11 without a call recorder app, but with some drawbacks...

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:01 AM PDT

Seems you can do it via the screen recorder:

    https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/10/29/tip-android-11s-built-in-screen-recorder-also-works-for-voice-calls/

I wonder if it's a bug, or a feature. It has some drawbacks though. Using Mic means you barely hear the result, unless it's on speakers, and even then the quality is quite bad...

I hope it will stay. Better than nothing :)

Older versions of Google Play Music still work

    Posted: 28 Oct 2020 06:20 PM PDT

I had the idea that maybe the older versions would still work, so I checked and versions 8.22.8261-1.P and earlier still work. It's not just local songs that work either, the radio stations work as well.

Is there any app like this?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 09:31 AM PDT

I work in IT and have to stay at desks for long hours and it's starting to affect my health. It's advised that you should take a break and go for a walk for 5 mins after every hour or hour and a half. Is there any app which can remind me multiple times in day to take walk where I can start a timer - say ok I'm sitting at my desk and when I take a break I can stop the timer and start the timer again when I resume my work.

    Notification Limiter App?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 09:06 AM PDT

I know there are a lot of notification manager apps out there. I'm looking for one that has a feature to limit the number of notifications an app can give.

In my case. I have friends who love to spam messages rapidly to me through chat. On my phone it then becomes 30 seconds of my pinging me because group chats have a constant back and forth. Ideally this app would notify me once and mute any other notifications until 30 seconds have gone by, then give me a new notification if a new one comes in.

I don't know if there is already a built in feature like this into Andriod. From what I've seen it doesn't?

    Any help is much appreciated.

Looking for a fast way to find apps or contacts on your home page?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:54 AM PDT

I found these two apps that are relatively less known. They have revolutionised the way I navigate through my home page. One of them is launchboard, a simple widget that allows you to search any app or contact with just the first letter of the same. The other one is MRU (Most recently used), again a simple but highly customisable widget that displays the recent app instead of your usual icons on a part of your home screen (again, customisable layout)

    Combined fitness challenge app

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:54 AM PDT

    Hi,

I started using 'Push Up 21', a push-up challenge app, two weeks ago and found it really motivates me.

Now I would like to add more excercises, namely pull-ups and sit-ups. But all apps I can find either offer complete workout plans or want me to design my training plan completely on my own.

Are there any apps out there, that let me select which exercises I want to perform and offer a pre-defined gradual increase in training load for each exercise? Nothing more, nothing less.

    Thanks for your input!

I'm trying to win an Aliexpress coupon and I can see the name initials of everyone who clicked on my ref link. How does Aliexpress app know the initials of my friends' if they registered with a fake email?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 11:47 AM PDT

Also, why if I clear all Aliexpress app data and open the app again, it still shows up my name? The only way I can open the app without being recognized is to start Aliexpress with "CloneApp".

I'm looking for an uninstall app I came across but I can't remember the name of it. There's loads of such apps but this one went through your apps one by one and asked you if you wanted to keep them or bin them. I think that you had to swipe to one side for bin and the other side for keep

[Lifestyle] Anyone wanna start writing a diary?? Here’s a new diary app!

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:19 AM PDT

Hi there, my team have developed a new dairy App called My Diary. Try it if you have some thoughts or precious moments to record, or you just want to build up your habit of keeping diaries every day.

It is released on Google Play, check out the link!

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mydiary.journal.diary.diarywithlock.diaryjournal.secretdiary

It featured a simple and clear layout and you can see all the tabs directly on the main page.

In the diary entering page, almost everything including the fonts, colors, sizes are changeable, so you can create you personalized journals. One of my favorite things is the stickers and emojis that include various scenes and feelings, make the journals look more pretty!

Moreover, My Diary can also be used as a photo diary, photos can be inserted in between the lines, and the sizes and positions can be adjusted as you like.

It is also a safe private diary with lock, you can set the lock with passcode or fingerprint.

After finishing your diary, use tags to categorize them and put then well-organized. You can then sync them to Google Drive or Dropbox to ensure security, or print them out to show writings or bind together into a book.

For further information or more comments, Please go to the Google Play Store and check it out! There are already more than 4,400 reviews and is rated 4.8/5.0.

Tell me if you have anything to say about My Diary or you have already used it! I will reply all the comments! Also you can rate it on Google Play if you like it.

    Cheers xx

SMS app with conversation media gallery?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 07:02 AM PDT

Ive been using Pulse since it first came out and while its not bad i have just started noticing some weird issues where messages are out of order sometimes and some other weird quirks. Outside of the web interface, one of the things i really like about Pulse though is that i can view the media sent in each conversation so if i need to find a picture someone sent i can just do that vs scrolling through years of messages.

Do any other sms apps have both the web interface for messaging AND the media gallery per conversation or am i stuck with Pulse?
