Wow, didn’t know Samsung actually has a whole page on their website citing reasons to specifically switch from iPhone to Galaxy!

No Note to come out in 2021....

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:11 AM PDT

Information I've heard from a trusted source... says that in 2021 there will be no Note model in 2021.

the S21 Ultra will have s-Pen capability but you'll either have to buy an s-pen for it or use one from a past phone, plus they'll sell a special case to store the s-pen in (as the Ultra wont have it internally built in storage)

Personally I think this sucks :-(

I am glad to have migrated from Pixel (Stock Android) to Samsung, they're awesome. Any tips for my new Tab6? :)

What pre-installed Samsung bloatware (listed in App Inspector, third-party app) can I remove without bricking my phone?

    Via ADB. Galaxy A30s.

Why doesn't Android let me remove Game Optimization Service (com.samsung.android.game.gos) via ADB?

ADB always says 'success', but it just pops right back up.

How can I backup my Samsung S20 without Google?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 09:25 AM PDT

I bought a new S20 and I don't know how to back it up to my Samsung account. Google will not let me login on my phone. I sign in to my Google account, and then it says that it needs to verify who I am. It texts my phone but then it asks me to put in another email address that I own. I get a message that Google will send me an email in 6 hours. I get them email and then it says that I have to change my password. I change it and then try to login again. I login with the new password and then Google needs to verify it again by sending it to my other email and I have to wait another 6 hours. I have done this same process 9 times over 3 days. It does the same thing everytime so I am pretty sure Google is not going to let me sign into my Gmail account. I'm not sure how many times you have to do this but 9 times is pretty unreasonable. Does anybody know how many times you have to do it? It sucks that you have to wait 6 hours everytime. Do you have to do it for weeks or months?

So, when I go to the backup setting on my phone, there is only an option to turn it on. There is no "Backup Data" option. I press "Add Backup Account", thinking I could add my Samsung Cloud account. But it says I have to login into Google first in order to add an account. What does Google have to do with Samsung? I can login into my Samsung account on my laptop. Why can't I add my Samsung account without Google? It seems like Google pretty much controls the whole phone which is weird. Can you backup the phone without Google? Like I said, there is not even an option to backup the phone. I also don't want to wait for like a month while Google keeps verifying who I am with 6 hours between each time. At this point I'm not sure Google is going to let me sign in on my phone. I can't even check my Gmail on my phone. I have to use my laptop.

Galaxy S20+ (exynos) showing some display issues. It happens when the phone switches from medium power saving mode to optimized mode via Bixby routines. The phone functions normally after I turn off the screen. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
