My HDD can't be found after reconnection(win10) Posted: 29 Oct 2020 09:19 AM PDT Yo, so there is a story. I've had a laptop which had HDD inside. Laptop often wouldn't start and if it started it was working quite slow. So I've swapped HDD for new SSD and it's working perfectly but i thought I should take out some pictures I've had inside HDD so i connected it through HDD portable case. Windows 10 recognized it but when i tried to open it, it would load forever. So i tought "maybe my pc will help?". My PC is running NVMe SSD socketed inside MB and mine HDD(which i will call mHDD to distinguish between connected HDDs later in this paragraph) connected to MB by using, of course, SATA and powered from my power supply. I've connected HDD using portable case and it was same scenario as laptop - it showed up but had never ending loading. I've connected HDD using same cable I'm using for mHDD beacuse there were free plugs. My SSD and mHDD loaded perfectly but old one was showing nowhere. Not my computer, not disk menagement nor diskpart or bios so i thought to myself it died forever, no big deal. So I've swapped mHDD with HDD and it also didn't help but this is where fun begins. I've swapped back again for mHDD and it's gone. I've tried to swap sata cables, power cables, sata sockets and power sockets without any change so currently im staying only on my SSD, mHDD is nowhere to be find. I've formatted and reinstalled system on my SSD and it also did not help. I couldn't choose mHDD to install system btw so it wasn't recognized even with freshest start there could be. I've made my backups from mHDD which I used for storage but I would really like to have my 1TB of storage back and if there is solution for this, maybe it will help with other disk. I've searched online for solutions but there is not really much help against disk which are not showing in bios. Sorry for formatting or bad english and thanks for help in advance. Cheers! Friends iPhone screen is broken. Needs help getting in WhatsApp Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:18 AM PDT My friends screen is half unresponsive and also half blacked-out. He will be getting a new one soon but he needs WhatsApp for zoom and does not have a spare phone. The problem is he has the password thing on WhatsApp where he needs to input his password to launch WhatsApp and one of the characters is on the dead zone. I thought of voice control but the continue button is on a dead zone. How can he turn it on otherwise/ have a way to launch WhatsApp (he has his fingerprint set up but he probably did it wrong so it rarely detects. He has a pc if it helps. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Oct 2020 03:49 PM PDT So my gf recently rebuilt my computer with new parts and everything was fine for a couple months. Now it blue screens constantly when she tries to do anything on the desktop and gets in a loop of restarting then blue screening. So then I reinstalled windows 10, made sure I had latest updates and updated drivers, and still get BSOD. We changed out the HDDs, the Power Supply, and it still Blue Screens She get a lot of different error codes, they are never the same, but here's two: Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap (what failed was FLTMGR.SYS) and Driver IRQL not less or equal (what failed amdppm.sys). System information is: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor 16 gb RAM 64 bit operating system, windows 10 Also, before all my blue screens happened, I bought a wifi adapter and plug it in to my USB port for internet and it wasn't long after using it that i started having these problems. Could it be faulty and cause an issue? Im really at a loss. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Oct 2020 05:05 PM PDT Hi! I'm having an issue where my Samsung T5 SSD is not showing up when connected. Almost Like it isn't even plugged in. I have some information on the SSD that can't be deleted by formatting it or anything. Is there anything I can do to make it work? When I open disk management under storage it won't allow me to change the letter of the drive [link] [comments] |
