- I saw a video on TikTok on how to remove the arrow icon next to the desktop icons. It worked, and it was going just fine for about a week, but then today it did this. Any ideas on how to fix this?

- So my friend's PC started doing this... Got any ideas what's causing it? It's not a virus as far as I know since he hasn't clicked on shady links or downloaded weird stuff.
- Cannot format HDD to reinstall Windows on Acer laptop.
- So this has been happening since yesterday after browsing the web. They were legit websites so I don't think that should be a cause of worry. Tried multiple AV & AM to scan for virus, malwares, etc. Still the problem persists. (NEED HELP- Windows 10/ i3/ 4 Gb Ram)

- My Huawei Power button is broken and phone is switched off. How do i turn in back on?
- I have an ISO file and I have mounted it with WinCDEmu. However, the ISO file also requires some patches to be loaded with it. The Readme.txt just says to copy the files to the main game directory. I can't find where that is and trying to copy it to virtual disc it tells me not enough space.

I can still hear sound but my pc doesnt not respond to like alt f4 or windows or anything else I need some help please. :) Edit: Its happened 2 times in 2 days but usually its like a 1-20 chance of happening. My laptop (ACER) suddenly crashed yesterday, and after restarting, I could not go past the log-in screen. The user name would not pop on, and it would not register to "turn off" or restart, when pressed in the splash screen. I could only restart by forcing it. I then tried to repair windows, which always failed for some reason. So I decided to backup everything using cmd prompt in the repair boot menu thing. It took 3 hours to copy all the files. I accessed then om my Mac, and I could open the random files I chose to test on. This was to see if the hard drive failed or anything. I then downloaded a Windows 10 ISO, created a bootable USB, and inserted it. I tried to format the disk, using windows installer, but an error code came up 0x80042428. I could not even delete it. I thought fine, ill do it brute force with cmd prompt, and DiskPart. It fails to "clean", and tells me that "Data error (cyclic redundancy check"). I then want to see if the HDD is fine, so I run a chkdsk. It then tells me that "cannot open volume for direct access". I am really lost and don't know what to do anymore. It cant be the HDD failing, since I copied all the files to an external using cmd prompt, and they are all accessible. [link] [comments]  | ||

I cannot connect to my friend's iphone 8 when I call or text him. He just doesnt receive them. It goes straight to voicemail, and if I leave a voicemail, he doesnt receive them. I can call anyone else. He cant call or text me either using my number, but the weird thing is, he can call/text a COMPLETELY different number and reach me. I have never owned the random number, nor do we know who it belongs to, so this is especially confusing. I havent carried a phone in a few years now, and just use a google voice VOIP account. | Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:10 PM PDT I am trying to download this game: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/star-trek-starfleet-command-iii-bde#download The game requires a patch after you download the ISO (and you can see the download for the patch at the bottom). The readme.txt for the patch just says: "Copy d3d8.dll and sfc.ini to your SFC3 main game directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\SFC3 ). No compatibility settings are required to run the game. Unfortunately the game will only work in windowed mode under Windows 10." I can't figure out where the "Main game directory" is located. The ISO files I extracted do not seem to have a place to put them (everywhere I tried didn't work)... and when I mount it using WinCDEmu and click on the virtual disc, that is when I see all the downloaded files like I opened up the actual program folder. However, trying to copy the patch files anywhere into the virtual disc I am given an error saying there is not enough space on the disc. So I don't know where I am actually supposed to copy these patch files so that they are automatically loaded when the virtual disc loads all the other files. I am using Windows 10.
