Today i've read about this technology that iPhone's keyboard uses: the keyboard automatically recizes the actual (without showing it) size of buttons based on which letters are more likely to be the next. I love typing on iPhone and hate it on Android. Does Gboard use some sort of similar technology? If it doesn't, is there Android keyboard that does? [link] [comments]  |

I misplaced my Galaxy Note 9, and I have the Find My Device app installed on it. I tried to login to my Gmail account on another device using the Find My Device app, however it pops up requiring me to verify it's me logging in by tapping "Yes it's me" on my lost device. How the hell am I supposed to track or find my phone when the app is requiring me to verify it's actually me on my lost device? Makes absolutely no sense to me. Is there any way around this or am I SOL? I don't understand why it would require me to verify my identity on a fucking lost device. Posted: 03 Aug 2020 08:08 PM PDT Hi, I know there is no built-in call recording on the US Samsung Note 10 and the apps like Cube Call Recorder do not work, especially with a bluetooth headset. So my question is this: I want to record the conversations with my elderly parents as a memento. How to do this? Google Voice? Pay $ for a monthly voip number and use built-in recording in something like csimple? Will system-based call recording come to Note 10 any time soon? I would rather call them from the same number and have them call me to the same number. I don't know if there are services and VOIP clients that allow keep my number and also have a call recording feature. I just got a samsung galaxy a11 and wanted to flash a custom rom to it (if you're wondering, its called "kali nethunter". https://www.kali.org/kali-linux-nethunter/ ). Problem is, i can't seem to find any custom recoveries for my device. I asked on xda developers and got no responses (yet). I don't know how to properly port twrp to my device so if i need to do that, it would be awesome if somebody could help me out with it. | Posted: 03 Aug 2020 12:46 PM PDT Last month my phone died and the same thing happened. At first the SD card was being registered and the photos were loading but not the apps. So it was my dads idea to transfer the photos and format the sd card. Then before I could do it the sd card was no longer being registered. So we switched it to my dads phone and all my photos were there. We switched it back to my phone and restarted it it was there and we formatted it. Fast forward to today my phone died again while I was asleep because I fell asleep reading and when I put it charge I made sure all my apps were there and they were. However when I fell asleep last night I powered off my phone and after I woke up I realized my stupidity. And all my apps have say for example "Netflix app not found" again. My photos the card are still being read. Do yall know how I can get my apps back without re-downloading them? Or what te problem is? [link] [comments]  |

I currently have a single google play account we login on each android device for the family. All apps are purchased on that account and it's easy. I started this years ago before there were other options. I'd like to turn on some of the kid features to limit their devices. It looks like I have to convert my account to a family share account so they kid accounts can access the purchased apps. Are there any limitations or restrictions once I do that? Is there a way to "un family share" an account or is it a one way conversion? I will likely leave all of the adult devices logged into the main account since it works. I'd like new features, just don't want to break anything I already have. Anyone used the Family Share for apps and how did it work? [link] [comments]  |

And couple of minutes go by we found the cab driver and asked him about the stolen phone and he said that he didn't know about it because I was in the backseat with my mother and He picked a lot of people after us. I called my phone number none stop but nobody picked up and I used find my phone and I left a message on the phone saying its a lost phone with a phone number to call in case a nice person found it. I'm now constantly checking the find my phone app and I'm wondering if the message went thought. I also have the IMEI thanks to the app but I dont know how to track it with the IMEI. Now the phone doesn't display battery life and carried name and I managed to use the secure my device option (sorry for translation it was in french) and sent a message to be display on the lock screen. I only turn on ringtone sounds when I'm expecting an important call or message. Recently, my phone has been playing my default notification sound every min or so. There are no actual new notifications when that happens. Any idea what it could be or how can I find it out? I have an app that keeps a history of my recent notifications. Nothing unusual there.
