Since most roms delete /system while we flash them (seems pretty logical to me!). Deleting /system led me to trouble as I rebooted and couldn't even get to fastboot. After some hardware key combinations, I was able to get to twrp, and flashed the chinese rom on my redmi 6 pro(sakura) device. Gonna flash xiaomi eu to get rid of the chinese now. And ads. | Posted: 30 Jan 2020 06:29 AM PST Title, pretty much. I have a Samsung s8+ and yesterday dark mode was on and this morning I woke up and it was off and the switch was greyed out. The only way I can get it to turn on is by turning on power saver mode. Was there a recent update that did this or is something wrong with my OS? [link] [comments]  |

I'm attaching a screen shot to show what I see when I look at a subreddit. Am I just missing something obvious? How do I post a thread using the app? I've tried updating, deleting and reinstalling to fix the issue. I feel like I'm just missing something obvious. | Real calls being blocked as spam Posted: 30 Jan 2020 02:25 PM PST When I got home from work today, I realized I had a couple of missed calls from people I work with that got blocked for potential spam. These calls came from a number on my company's internal system, which doesn't appear in a typical X-XXX-XXX-XXXX format. I assume that's why it was blocked. I can't figure out how to turn this feature off. I tried googling it, but what I found said to go to the settings in the phone app, then go to "called id & spam". I don't have this option. I have a Motorola z2 force. I just installed the new software update last night, so that's likely where the issue came from. It's version PCX29. 159-21-3 [link] [comments]  |

| Galaxy S9 can't see "Open with (default)" or "Share with" popup windows when trying to open files Posted: 30 Jan 2020 09:37 PM PST Hi So today I haven't been able to open files and do the sharing properly. This seems like some kind of OS issue because it's going on in multiple apps - Messenger Lite, Astro File Manager. I can't open up files like apks or share pictures or anything. Certain files still open since they open with a default app. Sometimes if I switch apps and switch back, the window appears, but often selecting my option doesn't do anything at this point. I'm running Android version 9, latest update. Keenal #2 from Nov 21st, Security Patch Level December 1st. I haven't installed anything recently, and I uninstalled a bunch of things to see if it would fix it. Maybe I could reset my defaults but I can't even find that feature on the S9. Getting real tired for my phone closing apps that I minimize that I want kept open. Id almost rather the phone lag; at least then I could go close the stuff I want. | LF Best Reminder app with pop up notifications Posted: 30 Jan 2020 02:03 PM PST I've had an Android for about a year now but I can't for the life of me get my reminders to actually remind me to do anything. what I like about the iPhone was that the reminders would pop up on the screen and stay there. At least on the lock screen. I feel like it would be great to have individual control for reminder notifications. Something that allows me to make sure I don't forget no, on my Android feels like there hidden and discreet. Does Android have anything similar to that? An app... I don't want to go back to iPhone but I'm terrible at remembering things and it's really important to me. Even switching over to my phone again if Android doesn't have anything. It works fine when I'm just connected to my laptop and browsing, but if I connect the PS4 try to download large files, the phone will get hot and it will refuse to charge, even though it's plugged in to the original fast charge cable. I've started to have connection issues with what I think is the phone's usb c port but only when I use a dongle to connect my headphones. I have absolutely no issues when charging the phone. I don't believe that it is the dongle that is broken since I have three of them and one is brand new (bought it hoping the other two were broken). Any ideas of what I should do? I have tried to clean the port but didn't notice any difference, right now I'm thinking about a repair or exchange of the port as a last way out. I see two updates, few KB each, which is strange because usually it's 20-30MB. Then (look at picture 1) [picture 1: https://ibb.co/NSLHYXH ] I *accidentally clicked on CP RAM LOGGING and my device restarted (it took a bit longer than usually). After that everything was normal. Then I was typing *#9900# on my phone and this showed up (look at picture 2) [picture 2: https://ibb.co/dQZ3GDq ]. Is there anything I have to worry about, or will it change my performance? It's very weird shouldn't it have like 250gb or something usually they reserve some for other stuff. | Playing video with video player on a web site. Posted: 30 Jan 2020 10:44 AM PST Hello. I used to have Android OS called ColorOS. ColorOS it's an OS of China brand "Oppo". When I was opening any video web site there browser was sending video to video player app. So I could use one video interface on all sites. And it was Oppo video player than very close to MX PLayer. Please help me do the same on other Android OS. I don't like use built in video players on web sites. Video player as MX player is so much better and has lots features. Thanks. [link] [comments]  |
