Now I just got my K20/Mi 9T Pro 3 days ago and man, oh man... I can't express how awesome this phone is. Everything is so smooth, camera is top notch and the speed is super duper fast. Posted: 27 Sep 2019 08:59 PM PDT First time Xiaomi buyer here, I've just ordered a Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite after doing loads of research but now I'm considering canceling my order and swapping out for a Xiaomi Note 8 Pro because I've just realised it has splash proof coating, rubber seals and reinforced corners. I'm stuck as what to do, I feel like having a splash proof phone is important for me, I watched a video of a guy literally giving it a bath and didn't see any damage. I often tend to get my phone wet, I live in England it rains a lot here and I like to change my music with mid way through the shower. I'm not too bothered about the over heating issues with the Note 8 Pro right now because I won't be using it do things like play PUBG on ultra high settings. Do I sacrifice the Mi 9 Lite's Super Amoled display, better camera, and nicer design for the bigger battery and waterproof features on the 8 Pro? I just bought dbrand skin and stick it to a fairly slim soft TPU case. and voila! a knockoff Grip case! Any one of us can do it. Though it doesn't fit perfectly to the top & bottom and maybe not as durable as the real one but hey, I just need something to protect my phone from waist fall and textured back so it doesn't slip easily. Some people saying it works, but barely (no LTE, or no VoLTE, constant dropped calls, no visual voicemail etc). Then other people say nope, it works perfectly. I couldn't do anything except for holding the power button which would pop up the four options (turn off etc) but I couldn't do anything with them. Now for some goddamn reason the phone decided to restart itself but not only that. No, it decided to completely erase everything. All my installed apps, all my data that was saved on the phone, my nova launcher and all it's settings. Everything, gone. I mean that laggy, framedrop stabilisation is a joke or what ? I cant even use it cause the video looks horrible. Im using only 60fps without stabilisation cause thats when the video is nice and smooth all the time.
