Official Mi 9 Battery Replenishment Guide by iFixit!

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 03:37 AM PDT

It seems every night for the past couple weeks, my Redmi Note 6 has been refusing to connect to wifi, even occasionally showing a blank list in the middle of suburbia.

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 09:39 PM PDT

I bought the phone back in February because my old Galaxy S5 was on its way out and I didn't want to spend a paycheck on a phone. The Redmi Note 6 has worked fine for what I need it to do up until a couple weeks ago. It seems some time around 8:00 PM, all wifi signal just stops dead and does not come back for until morning.

When I watch the local wifi list, it starts off showing all nearby locations (in the middle of the suburbs) with my home network "Connecting", but it never connects. After about 20 seconds of this, all wifi networks will instantly disappear from the screen with my home network staying briefly before joining the rest in the void. When I take a look at its settings, it says the signal strength is poor despite having full bars. When I "forget" the network and reconnect (when the whole wifi list shows back up), it may connect for a minute max, but then the cycle repeats.

This is not an issue during the day or at work.

    Bulkin or BSG?for Note 7

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 09:32 PM PDT

I'm confused on which should I use for my Xiaomi Note 7 Gcam mod since there's a lot of options. Should I go with Bulkin or BSG?

Also, I've noticed on my Gcam setting that it's only utilizing 12 Megapixel shouldn't it be 48? Complete noob here.

Constant "no internet connection" for Google Play Store, can't access it at all. Has anyone else had this problem before? (China ROM)

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 09:04 PM PDT

Play store has been showing "no internet connection" at all times for several days now, even where there is internet, I can't access any apps in it at all.

I've tried: * rebooting, * toggling automatic time, * deleting app cache, * deleting all app data, * reinstalling, * downgrading app version, * signing in and out of synced Google accounts, * giving all permissions to the app and to Google play services, * fiddling with battery, optimization and other settings, * turning on and off airplane mode, wifi and data,

I have an official xiaomi 8 se on stock China rom, I used to be able to use all gapps and Google play with no problems but after I reset my phone because of a bootloop issue, I noticed that play protect is no longer certified. I reset it again but there's still no protection.

I suspect that something went wrong with my phone verification after I reset it, has anyone had the same issue before? I don't want to reset it again and have the same thing happen, any tips would be appreciated.

I've also emailed xiaomi global support without hearing back from them yet...

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Indian Global Stable Rom

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 04:39 PM PDT

I bought a Redmi K20 Pro (China Version) with a preinstalled/preflashed Indian Global Stable Rom thru Aliexpress. Been a month or so already and still haven't received any updates. I'm currently on version 10.3.5.0. Will I still receive any future updates? What is the latest Indian Global Stable Rom right now? Thanks!

Help me: Xiaomi Mi 9 or Redmi Note 8 Pro?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 10:30 PM PDT

I'm Brazilian and I'm expecting to arrive in my country the Global version of Redmi Note 8 Pro, but I face the great unemployment of Mi 9, not to mention that its Super Amoled screen (if I'm not wrong) made me delighted. I don't care much about games, but the processor made me want to install some heavier games just for the sake of it. Anyway, my only "weak" points are the size of the Mi 9's 3300mAh battery versus the Note 8 Pro's 4500mAh (though it's offset by the much less battery-powered Amoled screen), and the lack of a P2 input because I use the headphones a lot in my daily life. About my type of use: I consume a lot of audiovisual media and audio content (songs via Spotify and / or Deezer), I hardly play games. The price here in my country of the Mi 9 is considerably higher than the Redmi Note 8 Pro (which is not yet priced).

Please help me choose, as this smartphone needs to last much longer than my current Motorola haha.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm about to order the Mi 9t, and all these threads popping up about it going into a boot loop 15 minutes after activating it are making me pretty scared, is there an explanation for these?

    About switching between opened apps

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 10:06 AM PDT

I love miui and all the gestures that comes with it. Even the swipe at the right and left edge to go back that is coming to android 10, has been present in miui for a long time! My only wish that miui had a way to switch between all the opened apps by swiping at the bottom with or without the bar, like iPhoneX. Even android pie has something like this with a small bar below. Oneplus has an option to choose between their native gesture, button gesture, and pie mode. But only miui doesn't have a way to switch between all opened app seamlessly without going to app switcher window. And the swipe and hold from the left and right allows to switch between previous app which is not that useful or easy to use.

Xiaomi.eu roms are quite buggy so I haven't flashed it on my 9T, since it was my work phone. Anyone tried it? Any big/issues? How's the battery life and performance?

    System has been destroyed.

    Posted: 29 Sep 2019 05:54 AM PDT

    [FIXED]

    Anyone else got this problem?

Got my new 9T, and went through the whole setup. Was then suggested to update the software, which I did, and the phone restarted and suddenly it was stuck on " the system has been destroyed".

Thx for the good first impression Xiaomi... It reboots and shows the Xiaomi logo, then the same error message. Lol had the phone for 14 minutes.
