    Basically title. Authenticator is crashing on Android 10. I can't access my MFA codes so I can't log into any sites that require MFA (this includes Lastpass itself).

    What are my options?

    I have already contacted Lastpass support.

    [Android 10] Has anyone figured out how to remove the annoying assistant hints in the bottom corners?

    There was a way to get them to go away mostly on beta 5, but that didn't work on beta 6 for me, and even after a factory reset on the final Android 10 release and trying the workarounds, they appear after I use the swipe up to go home gesture every time.

    Problem selecting 'games' category in Play Store

    Hey, guys,

    I'm on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and I can't select the 'games' category in the Google Play Store. Any other category seems to be functioning perfectly but when I click on 'games' the app frozes for a second and then goes back to the main initial screen.

    Anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix it?

    Proper Way To Transfer Android Phone to Another Person?

    I have exhausted my eyes reading explanations of Factory Reset Protection (FRP) and the "why" behind why this process is so difficult and cumbersome, but have not been able to find instructions on the proper process of how to sell or give (in my case) my Android phone to another person.

    TL;DR: HOW TO PROPERLY FULLY TRANSFER AN ANDROID PHONE TO SOMEONE ELSE?

    I think I've gotten partially through. This is what I have been through already:

    1. Somehow I was able to erase the device from Google Device Manager.
      - It was impossible to do so before and I have no idea what sequence of actions eventually did it.
      - I only found out today the phone (and a slew of other old devices I have had) were gone from the old "Device Manager" after logging in for the first time to the new Google Device Finder.
      - Prior to this new Google site all devices would never go away from "Device Manager".
    2. My cousin finally put on a webcam (he's far away) and I saw that it was asking for MY account information (actually the phone "START" process was asking for "a previous Google account registered to the phone").
    3. After that was done, and we added his account, the phone now shows on both HIS Google Devices AS WELL as MINE.
    4. I've only tried unsuccessfully to "Erase Device" so far from my account site. It will not let me because it says "phone cannot be reached" even though he is connected to the internet and is able to make and receive calls.

    I'll be greatly appreciative if someone can point out what I've been doing wrong and the official instructions to accomplish the TL;DR.

    Updated to Android 10

    In the overview screen where it shows your opened apps, there is a tray of apps that appeared that I want to get rid. Unfortunately, going into the home settings and deselecting app suggestions doesn't work anymore. Is it a bug or something else entirely?

    My phone charging USB port.. sparked?

    Hello anyone and everyone. So, I have a pretty ancient phone right now. Android 4.4.4. I recently dropped a small part of the lower half of it into my cat's water dish (amazing spot for it, right?) and I dried it off with a towel and it was fine. My phone has had some peculiar issues with charging in the past, like not reading the correct percentage, not charging, etc. For this one, the charging port sounded like it was tingling or sparking for like, two minutes on and off. It has stopped since then. Is this anything I have to worry about? Any short answers would be appreciated. Heck, any answers at all would lol. Also, yes, I will be getting a new Android soon. I'm just kinda stuck to this one right now. Thanks!

    Unable to update any apps after updating to 10 ..

    I have tried restarting and also clearing data / cache. The app crashes frequently and / or unable to download. It's stuck on waiting to download if the app hasn't crashed.

    Anyone experiencing the same?

    Looking for a way to separate my business Android ROM with a more personal ROM because I can't get my dual slots to work :[

    I have a Pixel XL which has two different slots to load ROMs on, so I thought if I can get it to work I would use this as a way to separate my personal ROM (which is all FOSS baby) from a theortical different ROM that has gapps flashed and whatnot.

    Just curious does this work with dual slotting? I hear that the data files are shared anyway so there's not really as much isolation/security between ROMs as I had initially hoped, any ideas on what I can do?

    I have a marlin model with a/b slots and I was going to use Liquid Remix as the FOSS ROM and Pixel Dust for my business side. I tried to flash both of them (and I know how the slots work, if you flash a ROM it flashes the opposing slot, and kernels flash on the current) but I still can't get them to work. If I flash both of the ROMs usually only one will work, even if it's the same ROM .zip file (so for example if I flashed 2x LineageOS ROM, only one would boot, the other would go directly to recovery, it thinks it doesn't exist, and if I reflash it just resets the system of the working side). This is very frustrating for me and I'm so ready to give up but I could use a hand! Thanks

    Android 10 battery info on lockscreen

    I just updated my OG Pixel XL from 8.1 to 10. When charging, the lockscreen used to show if it was charging or charging rapidly, and remaining time until full.

    It seems this feature has since been removed. Maybe that happened in Pie, but I didn't update past 8.1 since I was using Andromeda and Substratum.

    Any insight on this?

    Help, please, Photos on Samsung Note 9 gallery app keep getting corrupted or deleted.

    I keep looking thru my gallery to find more and more random photos will have a Grey square with an exclamation point in the middle and it will say it's taking up 0 bytes of memory. Like this: https://imgur.com/gallery/bGMbKAc

    I'm using the Samsung photo gallery app, I have never used Google photos app or tbh any of the Google apps on my phone other than YouTube... I want to know how to stop my photos from getting corrupted or deleting themselves.

    Update to Android 10 Duplicated All Photos

    Just updated and every single image in my Google Photos has been duplicated and now the app is trying to re-upload thousands of images every time I open it. Is anyone else having this problem?

    Android 10 (Q?) Questions

    Just got the ota and I'm a little confused by a few things:

    1. How do I get the battery percentage to show in the notification shade like it used to? The time remaining estimate is a cool option, but I like to be able to see the percentage easily, without having it there all the time.

    2. How do you trigger picture in picture? I used to be able to hit the home button while in something like YouTube and it would trigger, but now performing the home gesture doesn't trigger it.

    3. How do you jump back to the home screen of your launcher from one of your other screens? Used to be a tap of the home button, but now if I do the home gesture it just opens the app drawer.

    Android 10 app switcher sharing

    It appears in Android 10 the ability to share directly from the app switcher is broken. Used to be able to open it, hold down on the app preview, then select share. Now long pressing does nothing at all. There a bug tracker for this or something? Or is this how it is going to be now? Looks like if there is text in the preview you can still share that, but not if it's just an image. Which I tend to use a lot.

    Google play dark mode?

    Otg connection is not working. I used otg checker and it should be compatible

    My phone is a vivo x23. With Android 9.0 I bought a new cable and tried it but it's still not connecting. I downloaded several otg checking aps and they all indicated my phone is otg compatible. I tried a mouse and a thumb drive. Still nothing.

    I connected the otg cable to another phone and it works well. Is there a setting I'm not seeing?

    Android Q Dark Theme dark text in search box

    Tablet and "accurate pointer" woes

    I recently bought a Wacom Bamboo Tip hoping it would serve me well for line art and note taking on the go. Sadly it seems either my tablet (Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus, SD 625) either isn't powerful enough, or there's something funky with the actual digitizer itself.

    My issue is that I'll either get skipped lines when drawing or just dots or nothing at all. I've tried comparing other devices with no issues at all, but those are smartphones and a bit more powerful (SD 801+) and obviously way less screen estate so I haven't really managed to figure out if it's either (or both) to my knowledge.

    Does anyone happen to know any real fix, like being able to crank up the sensitivity or something along the lines? I should also mention that when I draw with my fingers I have no issues regardless.
