| Screen flickering. Can't access lock screen, home screen Posted: 16 Aug 2019 04:29 PM PDT Hello. I've recently encountered an issue which made my device (Redmi note 7, global) unusable. After installing a few custom roms and coming back to miui (Installed via fastboot) , and finishing the setup, my screen turned black. Can't do nothing, flickers every 3 seconds for a millisecond. Going into recovery does not flicker, neither does it in TWRP or fastboot. Only in system. Trying different roms does not help, still flickers. Device is unusable. The best result i've got is with google experience, but start flickering after i open instagram or 99% of the other apps. This is not a hardware issue. Please help! | Mi 9T/K20 weak WiFi connection Posted: 16 Aug 2019 12:27 PM PDT I bought my GF thee Mi 9T coming from a Galaxy S8. The phone is great except for the WiFi connection. When I search for our WiFi network it finds it with full connection bars, sitting next to the router. When I connect the Mi 9T to our WiFi network the connection instantly drops 2 or 3 bars and the speed slows down significantly. After a couple of minutes it even disconnects for a view seconds and connects automatically back but still with 2 or 3 bars. While on her Galaxy S8 or mine Mix 3 the connection is perfectly fine and full connection bars. I tried to forget the network and connect to it again. Rebooted the Mi 9T Updated to the latest possible software Reset to factory settings Unfortunately nothing of the above helped. Is there anything I can do more to solve this issue? Does it apply to the models advertised as "Global ver. Unlocked No Warranty"? I plan to buy a new Redmi 7 Note 128GB, 48MP Global Version somewhere in the USA (online, with delivery in the US). I am confused by the warranty terms. Since no US warranty for these phones is a fact (right?), which online retailer is the best to provide reliable seller's warranty, in case the phone has some factory defect? Even 30 or 90 days kinda "warranty" would be cool. Here is a sample return policy for the Walmart offer mentioned:

I then found out that it is apparently in a locked state, I tried to use Mi Unlock to unlock it but apparently my account is not bound to the device I'm trying to unlock. I have connected this phone to Mi Account and almost everything else before the break and am wondering how I am supposed to add this phone to my account if I can't even load into the lock screen. Since a couple months I'm unable to paste any text into text boxes that have the "password" property. This results in me being unable to copy passwords from my password manager and paste them into any password field. Copy and paste works fine otherwise. | Nova Launcher on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Posted: 16 Aug 2019 11:12 AM PDT Hi, I wonder if anyone is experience the following issue with Nova Launcher on a Redmi Note 7. As you may be aware, in order to display badges on the app icons (notifications and unread messages on twitter, telegram, etc.) you need to grant Nova Launcher certain permissions. The issue is that, even if I have granted notification permission to Nova Launcher, after certain amount of time I have to re-grant permissions, however, when I am taken to the security window where I can set this on/off, the permission is granted, meaning that I have to switch it off, and back on again for the badges to re-appear on the apps. I hope I have been clear, if you have any idea on how to get this fixed, I will truly appreciate if you would let me know. TL;DR = Nova Launcher losses notification permission after certain amount of time, and permission has to be granted again by switching off and back on again the permission button.
