| Posted: 16 Aug 2019 12:16 AM PDT So, to make a VERY, VERY long story, short, I was falsely accused of doing some things earlier, and arrested, although I had video proof showing I DIDN'T do those things. The cop that arrested me, took my phone from me, and put it in his pocket instead of taking it to my grandmother, like I had asked, and once we got to the jail, I told the corrections officer that the cop had my phone. The CO asked the cop for my phone, and the cop said no, he was going to keep it for a little while. Now, I didn't think I had to worry about anything, because I had fingerprint login and a pin number that nobody knew, however, when I got my phone back, after I got released, the pin number and fingerprint had been disabled, and the video was deleted. I was luckily able to restore the video from the trash can, however, what that cop did was against the law. Is there any way to prove who removed my security, and attempted to delete that video? If not, it'll be my word against the police department, therefore not worth my time to press charges. Now, if it helps, my phone is an LG K20 plus on metro PCS, and I took a screenshot of the video in question in the "trash" folder, but i'm not sure if it'll help. EDIT: I also took screenshots of the details of the videos in the "trash" folder, but, the only timestamp was from when I recorded it. EDIT 2: Oh snap, I was just going through my sent e-mails, and I had two e-mails sent from my address to another officer, that are time stamped at 2:21 and 2:22 PM, at which time I was in jail. I'm going to keep this question open, however, because I'm not sure that will be enough. EDIT 3: UPDATE: So, I have been talking to multiple lawyers, the IA for the department, and the Bureau of Investigation in my state, and turns out, I have a case. | Posted: 16 Aug 2019 06:25 PM PDT Two weeks ago I was able to enable the new version of AA by a performing a series of clearing play services cache and installing the newest AA apk from apk mirror. After installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling a bunch of times I finally got the "try new Android auto" checkbox to show up. I've used it multiple times daily since, and it's worked flawlessly. I love the new UI. Today after work, the old version was showing up on my head unit. the checkbox to enable the new version has disappeared from the settings. I've uninstalled, cleared caches, installed from the play store, installed from apk mirror, and I cannot get that check box to show back up. I've seen a few posts on Google forums about the same thing happening, but there haven't been any helpful responses. Anyone else having this issue?? [link] [comments]  |

I've used 3 different cables, 2 different boxes, and 3 different outlets and it still didn't work. I even tried my cable with my coworker's phone just to make sure it wasn't my charger. Then when I got home I tried my wireless charger and it still wouldn't charge. I have no clue why this is happening and would appreciate any idea/ suggestion on what to do. As the question says, I'm wondering if a Discover card linked to Google Pay will work abroad in Europe? I know many countries don't accept Discover, but does that matter when you pay with Google Pay? Due to user error I deleted one by accident. When I tried to read it I couldn't resize the widget to remove the white preview panel and just leave the blue info bar. | S9 Box Came Without Plastic Wrap. Posted: 16 Aug 2019 09:16 PM PDT Just received my S9 from walmart today at the pickup center. When i got the box it was scratched and there was no plastic wrap surrounding the case. The phone is visibly untouched and it works like a dream. But i was just wondering if this might be a return and , should i just take it back and get a new one to make sure. I was also wondering if it is normal to have so sort of hard plastic wrap surrounding the edges of the phone. Posted: 16 Aug 2019 10:40 AM PDT Currently I'm wondering if I should wait for OnePlus 7T Pro, or whatever they name it, because it will have better SoC and will be 5G ready(I'm not switching phones often, my current is 5+ years old), or just get the current OP7P. What I'd like to know about 5G is its power consumption. I saw some reviews of OP7P 5G version and it doesn't seem that bad. However, I know that these first gen 5G phones need an extra modem inside to support 5G network. There is still no 5G network on any local carrier. Is the modem going to consume any extra power while using the phone on 4G/LTE or it will just be there, taking space? Anyone who has a 5G phone, can you compare the battery consumption of 5G only vs LTE only? What about LTEconsumption on 5G version vs LTE on regular version? [link] [comments]  |

I have both Gmail accounts on the play store. I downloaded a game through the account without the Google credit and wanted to buy something but it wouldn't let me switch. So I backed up my save on the game and deleted it and redownloaded it under the account with the play balance and it's still not showing up for in app purchases. Posted: 16 Aug 2019 12:45 PM PDT So my phone rang today and afterward I went to check the phone to see who called and when I pushed the button to turn the screen on I was met with a black screen with some obvious spam text and a URL and a red X down the bottom with the swipe arrows next to it to allow me to dismiss it, which I did. But where did this notification come from? Like was it a transcript of the voice mail? It didn't seem to be. And I haven't seen that before. It wasn't a text message either, there was none. What is this kind of notification called? Is it possible to block them? I have suddenly begun getting an insane number of random calls and voice mails and texts from spammers. I though of buying an Iphone like x or xs but it's too expensive for me, I'm still a collage student and I don't have that much budget. I then thought of having an android with maximum 600$. When I first searched I've known nothing about phones but with a search I think there's five main things for a phone. ( Hardware, software, Battery, camera, build ) I thought of snapdragon 855 to hold much longer than snapdragon 730 and because it's more powerful than kirin 980. but is the difference between snapdragon 855 and kirin 980 worth ? I want the battery to hold cause I go to collage for more than 12 hours a day. Play games like pubg and download new games and play it freely with no lagging. Move between apps easily. Taking good pictures with my friends. I also watch movies and TV series with highest quality, I want my phone to hold like 4 years. So I don't know should I get Mi9, or Mi9t would be enough. My frends told me never to buy an android phone so expensive cause they always lag after time so I'm confused. I thought of 1.Xiaomi Mi9 ( about 540$ ) But the review I read that the software is bugged like the notification thing (notification disappearing and delaying) the camera is bad and battery drain is so heavy the battery barely hold less than a day. 2.Xiaomi Mi9t (about 360$) Snapdragon 730 is really not that powerful and the camera and specifications is less than MI9. I also considered but is they worth the money difference ? -Honor 20 (about 450$) -Honor 20 pro (about 630$) -Mate 20 (about 610$) I want people who have these phones or they do the same things as mine help from their experience. thank you guys. I used Amazon Photos when I had Prime, but their service only syncs to the cloud (there is an awful PC client as well but it too only syncs to the cloud, not back on to my PC). I am looking for a method that will work like Dropbox over my wifi (meaning any photos and videos on my phone will appear in a folder on my PC and vice versa). Thanks for your time and input!
