    maximum of 10 stacked notifications

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 09:08 PM PDT

so, I use twitter in my redmi note 7 running MIUI 10.3.6, and I've enabled push notifications for some accounts, however, if it only works if I have less than 10 twitter notifications, anything over that and the notification just doesn't show up. Is there any way to fix this limit? Is it a known bug or is it intended?

Any way to get Mi 9T Pro in Canada?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 09:54 PM PDT

I cant even find a reseller willing to ship to Canada. I would use the K20 Pro but I need the bands from the global version.

Does anyone have a good quality source that ships to Canada?

What's in your opinion the most annoying thing about MIUI and why is it not being able to disable persistent notifications?

Will the fingerprint sensor on the Mi 9T still work with a screen protector?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 09:19 PM PDT

I'm in the market for a new phone, and I've been looking at the Mi 9T since it's just been released to Australia.

I use screen protectors on my phones, as my pockets sometimes contain things like coins and little scratchy particles that can scratch my screen. Is it possible for the Mi 9T's screen protector to still work even with a protector on it? I know that optical sensors will, but I'm not too sure what sensor the Mi 9T uses.

Mi 9T Pro Widevine L1 Support

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 12:27 PM PDT

I recently bought a Redmi K20 Pro from Ebay with a global rom and got stung with the lack of Widevine L1 support which I didn't know anything about before hand. I have thankfully been able to return it.

I'm looking at importing Mi 9T Pro to UK from amazon.de.

Will it have Widevine L1 and anything else needed for HD playback and to get Netflix working etc?

I looked on the Xiaomi website but couldn't find anything about it. Only thing I could find was a reference to Netflix HDR support for the Mi 9T. I know the Mi 9 has support for it but it's not listed on the product page that I can see.

Any help would be appreciated before I order thanks!

    Phone Screen Stuck

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 06:40 PM PDT

    Hello,

I was just listening to a meditation app when I noticed my screen just went to black and now says "Redmi Note 7 by Xiaomi" and at the bottom it says "powered by android" and there are 3 dots that are moving. What is going on? I can't restart it and I don't know what's going on. I was reading something online about a ROM but what does that mean? I wasn't trying to do anything to my phone. Normally I would just remove the battery and restart but I don't know how to disable the phone and I don't think it's possible from looking at its design. How can I fix this and what is wrong? Thanks!

    Haylou gt1 charging issue

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 06:02 PM PDT

So, everytime I charge it, the right side takes a little bit longer to turn off the red light, like 5~15 min, I'm wondering if it's because the right side syncs with the left side and also with the phone. Is it normal or should I ask for a refund? This is my first bluetooth headset, so I have no clue , and couldn't find a thing about it on google.

    Xiaomi Mi Home App

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 04:46 PM PDT

Hi! I'm planning to buy the Xiaomi Smart Sensor set (the basic one with 2x motion sensors/2xdoorXwindow sensors and the button + hub, obviously haha) but there are two things I couldn't find the answer to. Since I live with my mom and dad, I want to know if there's a way they can use the app too to disarm the alarm? Or can I program the button to maybe two press to arm and three press to disarm ? That's the only thing that stopped me from ordering the set, and all I've seen was people using the button for lights etc. Thanks for the replies!

About to jump from Apple to Android and considering the Redmi Note 7

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 03:41 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I have an iPhone 7 32gb which has served me well for 3 years except for the battery life and storage space. Even after having the battery replaced in January, it barely survives a day of light usage when paired to my Bluetooth watch and I constantly have to upload photos to the cloud.

I don't want to spend too much money but I want something that's fast and reliable that should last me 2 or 3 years. I'm currently looking at the Redmi Note 7. I'm British but I live in Japan where I can get one for around 22000 JPY (£170 or $200). I have a few questions I'd appreciate it if anyone could answer:

    1) How are Xiami for security updates? I was considering a cheaper Chinese phone that is popular here, the Umidigi F1, but I heard that the developer tends to only update their phones once or twice then forget about them, leaving them potentially vulnerable to security exploits.

    2) How does the Note 7 compare to the Mi A2 Lite?

    3) Is it worth waiting for the Note 8? Will it be in the same price range as the Note 7?

    4) Are there any other handsets from other providers that I should consider in the same price range?

Thanks! Any other comments (especially from those of you who jumped from Apple) would be appreciated.

    Overcapacity Replacement Batteries

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 03:00 PM PDT

Looking to replace my battery for my Mi Mix and was browsing AliExpress.

Has anyone got experience with using the overcapcity listed replacement batteries? The Mi Mix original cap was 4400 mAh

Brands such as: Da Da Xiong, LOSONCOER, HSABAT, etc sell 5400mAh caps.

I don't really care about overcap batteries just looking for one that reaches the same cap as my original battery. The 2 replacement BM4C batteries I've bought always goes to 60% cap which is 2640 mAh.

    Thanks
