Bixby doesn't work (or even recognizes) Spotify Posted: 31 Aug 2019 08:21 AM PDT Phone Model: Samsung Galaxy S9 Software version: Android 9 Pie - Samsung OneUI Carrier: T-Mobile Model number: SM-G960F While Samsung happily advertises Spotify is intergrated with Bixby in One UI, it actually doesn't recognise anything related to Spotify. I have a few custom commands and tried the normal command (Hi Bixby, Play music) as advertised on the Support page. Bixby responds with "I don't understand that" Now I'm on the point it doesn't even understand a word what I'm saying. Complainment side note: Samsung, if you produce a phone with literally a dedicated button for your voice assistant AI, at least try to put some effort into it. Now Bixby acts like dogshit that's is stuck on my shoe but the shoe is actually my phone. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 31 Aug 2019 08:10 AM PDT Hi guys. Does anyone know whether or not samsung will refresh their s-pen supported 10.1 tab A (P580 and P585) from 2016? They released a regular version of the tab A that has a 10.5 inch screen and released a smaller 8 inch one that supports the s-pen. However, there is no news about a 10.5 inch tab A with s-pen. I bought a Galaxy Note 10 (non Plus) and I disagree with the haters... sort of. Let me explain Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:33 PM PDT As a reference, before I upgraded, I owned a Note 9 A lot people really seem to hate on the smaller Note 10, so I wanted to share a bit of my opinion on some of the complaints after a week of using the non-plus Note 10.
In short, while there are a lot of compromises, none of them bother me, and I seriously doubt they would bother that many people either. Most complaints are based on numbers on a piece of paper and not on real world usage, which I don't think is fair, and dissuades people who are generally interested in this amazing device. Now, on to a point I do somewhat agree with: price. Yes, I do think the Note 10 is overpriced. Yes, there are better value options than the Note 10. Yes, I didn't feel too great about paying more for my phone than my laptop (the $600 trade in helped ease that though!) But all these points apply to the Note 10+ as well. Everyone seems to think that the Note 10 is a poor value, but nobody is bringing up the point that the Note 10+ is an even worse value, if you're simply comparing spec sheet and price. I think for anyone that wants a Note, but not as big, or just wants to save some money, the Note 10 is a great option. I love mine. (Or consider the Note 9, I really do miss the notification LED, pressure sensitive home button GDI WHY did you remove this Samsung?????, and the fingerprint sensor that actually works arrgh the ultrasonic one can be so frustrating) Let me know what you guys think! is there any way to copy my files on pc from a phone with virus? Posted: 31 Aug 2019 05:16 AM PDT hello, i own a samsung. i dropped it in water 2 months ago, but after drying it for a day, it worked well (almost). These last days, i dropped it a few times on the floor. I am getting error messages, mainly "NFC services have stopped unfortunately", but also "clock services have stopped" and something like "android.process etc". Whenever i click ok on this message, it appears again so i absolutely can't do anything on my phone. I took it to the shop, they told me it must be a virus (or the water - i don't recall downloading anything or entering a dodgy site any time recently), that i need to "format" it and if it doesn't work, they'll reinstall the software. I need to copy my files on pc (pictures etc), i plugged it using a cable to my pc but 1- no access to the phone 2-the phone appears in the 'multimedia devices' on pc and in "this pc" i can't find it. just wondering if anyone here knows how i can transfer my files to pc, thank you! Anybody else struggling with the fingerprint reader? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 10:49 PM PDT Moving from the note 9 to the 10+5g and I love everything about it - except the fingerprint reader under the screen. I just can't get used to it, it feels clunky and awkward and it takes me 2 or 3 goes to get it to work. I've removed and reset the prints at all angles but I actually miss the speed of the Note 9s back sensor. I also find in bright sunlight I can't see the screen and end up fumbling about trying to guess where on the screen the sensor is, I have always on display permanently on as well I have face unlock setup too but it never seems to work for some reason I dunno, it's not doing it for me at the moment - it's not a deal breaker but it's bugging me more than I thought [link] [comments] |
