Installed Windows 10 Update version 1903 - sound now 30-50% more quiet on every program.

    Posted: 20 Aug 2019 06:26 PM PDT

I haven't made any changes. All volume controls on everything are maxed out (windows, discord, Apex Legends, etc.). Everything is just much more quiet. Things I have done to troubleshoot -

1.) Gone into the Sound Settings and have disabled all enhancements

2.) Upped all volume in the applications to max

3.) Upped windows volume globally - and per application - to max.

Does anyone know why this happens after every Windows update? I've set the IP and gateway manually as well, but it resets after every update.

I own an iPhone and I need a software similar to the photos app on the macOS for windows 10

    Posted: 20 Aug 2019 11:03 AM PDT

I have had all the photos from my iPhone transferred to my laptop 💻, because my iPhone ran out of space.

Now, I need to find a document's photo that I had took in a European country, but don't remember the date for it.

Is there a software that could categorize the photos in my PC by location tag?

Speaker taskbar icon does nothing after update (Windows 10)

    Posted: 20 Aug 2019 08:46 AM PDT

Hi. After a recent update (Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903) I can no longer click my speaker icon in my taskbar to get the volume slider, this also means I can't quickly switch between playback devices, which I frequently do. I tried a restart but it hasn't helped.

What can I do to fix?

Can I Re-install Windows from Remote on My Parent's Computer?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2019 03:41 PM PDT

I live 16 hours away from them, so being there isn't really an option. There aren't any computer people that will come to their house, and even having them unplug and replug their computer back in would be difficult due to health issues.

The computer will not open anything unless they open it as admin, and it takes forever, often maxing out cpu and memory usage. I just want to reinstall windows for them from remote and then I can get on team viewer and put the programs he wants back on the computer.

    Is this possible?

    TIA!

Win 10 - OEM license on same machine with "retail" distribution

    Posted: 20 Aug 2019 02:18 AM PDT

I hate all of the "bloatware" that some OEMs (like HP) put on a brand new PC ! With Windows 7, I have successfully installed a retail version of the OS and used the the original OEM key (IIRC, I had to use the "phone method" to enable the license and then find all of the drivers for the various hardware).

I would like a DEFINITIVE answer ! (Not "it should work" or "I heard" ...)

The desktop has been displaying today that I'm in the airplane mode, even though I have the WiFi connection and can browse various websites, etc. (Windows 10).

    Posted: 19 Aug 2019 11:01 PM PDT

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting it already, by the way - unfortunately - to no avail.

    Windows 10 Search Graphical Bug

    Posted: 19 Aug 2019 06:50 PM PDT

Has anyone ever seen this issue? The start menu loads normally, but as soon as i start typing to enter windows search, the sidebar disappears leaving the search floating out away from the edge of the screen.

This appeared after the Windows 1903 update yesterday.
