• Looking to fix the CD player on this thing but I can't get inside, the screws won't move and some are far too deep inside a hole for an average screwdriver to reach, the inside is presumabely pretty dirty and I cleaned the CD part but it still won't work, cobwebs are even in a screw hole
• I was trying to install windows 10 and this happened, any clues? (booted through usb, tried both gpt and mbr, ntfs)
• strange bug happening with my pc

Very specific font blurring issue (Win7 64-bit); does not affect all text. Posted: 21 Aug 2019 07:51 AM PDT Issue is that some - but not all - text is blurry/foggy. Doesn't seem to have any consistency between the size of the text; I can read my Live Preview just fine for example, but the save/cancel dialogue for media is barely legible. Also, my font 'hovers' for a minute when searching Google/DuckDuckGo/Qwant, before shifting to my default font. Like it shifts to another font briefly, then reverts. I've never had any luck with ClearType, it's only ever made things harder to read for me, so I'm very wary of turning it on - but a test didn't seem to help any text I could see. Here's an example, blurred text on the bottom right. ... And, screen-capping it, I'm a little worried I might have solved the issue on my own, but would appreciate more feedback. The image doesn't look nearly as blurred, but it's save/cancel that look blurry on my monitor. My monitor is an Acer SA230; are they known for bricking certain fonts? I already have an issue where it's refusing to play nice with my audio via HDMI cable, so... :/ Elsewise, if you think I should try re-installing fonts or have a better idea, I'm all ears. Windows 10 laptop restarting self instead of sleeping Posted: 21 Aug 2019 11:52 AM PDT Windows 10 laptop reboots instead of sleeping? My laptop did this around 5 times on Monday. Every time it goes to the not black screen and the fan constantly spins for around a minute. After that after about 4 minutes it restarts. When it finally does it says "configuring windows" and then after about 30 seconds eventually lets me log in That was a few days ago Today despite it being set to never go to sleep or turn off the screen when the lid was closed its done it again. I dont believe i had to relog in this time though. During the two days i had hoped updating to a new version of windows 10 would help. It did not? At least, not fully. Empty CD doesn't want to be burned with music Posted: 21 Aug 2019 02:14 PM PDT So I am trying to burn some cd's I purchased a brand new cd-burner and when I wanted to burn a cd i noticed that it didnt like that very much. The issue is that it doesnt want to format the drive/disk. And when i open it in disk manager it is noted as a raw disk and it doesnt even show the available space on the disk its just empty. Ill add picture to make it more clear (nvm images are forbidden here). So the final problem is, I have a load of empty cd's from the same brand and they are all empty, when inserted they all are RAW format and are unable to be formatted either via disk manager of via command prompt. Any help would be appreciated. My LAN wont work properly Posted: 21 Aug 2019 10:30 AM PDT So the issue is that when I connect my LAN cable to pc and chose a full duplex connection, the PC wont see the cable, and if I use half duplex it will only give 40 mbps, while when I use the same cable to connect to my laptop I can choose full duplex connection and get 120 mbps? strange bug happening with my pc Posted: 20 Aug 2019 05:49 PM PDT so i have a laptop and it seems like my storage fills up but when i reset my pc (i just did right now) it went from 34 gb to 45 gb i dunno what happen is this some kind of pc error? i havent reseted it for like a whole 2 weeks so im just asking if its normal or not thanks :) submitted by /u/mr_fate1775 [link] [comments]
