| Posted: 30 May 2019 11:01 AM PDT I've got a laptop with a 1070, 16gb, i7-8750 and my FPS is god awful, for example Ill play rust at simple graphics and get a a range of 19-40 fps and in mordhau I can get only up to 50. | Looking for a dedicated game server for a HOME network Posted: 31 May 2019 04:42 AM PDT I want to setup a dedicated server machine on my home network for Teamspeak and different games (1 game at a time) The games are usually played by 3/8 players, so it doesn't have to be a beefy server. I prefer it to be easily extended with storage and memory (RAM). Does anyone know a place where i can buy such a server machine? I'm not looking for a second desktop machine. | Last ditch effort to save a laptop Posted: 31 May 2019 04:55 AM PDT So I have this laptop that was a handmedown from someone (I have a custom desktop but I need a laptop for music stuff) and before I go out and buy a new laptop, I thought I'd try one last time to fix this one. It is a Sony Vaio Duo 13 with a 4500U and 4gb ram (impressive I know) and in my last attempt at fixing it I removed the boot drive (m.2 sata), formatted it in my desktop, installed a clean windows 10 and put it back into the laptop. Now as soon as it boots it briefly goes into the sony vaio boot screen before bluescreening with the error INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR. Then the computer restarts, same thing happens again, and its stuck in a bootloop. Impossible to get into bios, boot into safe mode, etc etc. It's a pretty obscure laptop so I honestly don't know if anyone will be able to help me, but if you have any ideas I'm open. Thanks. | Posted: 31 May 2019 02:52 AM PDT Not sure if this is the right sub, sorry if not. In my private mail account I saw an increase in spam mails recently. Not the annoying newsletter one where you accidentally signed up once but at least have the chance to unsubscribe. I'm talking about the really shady bitcoin/nigerian prince/viagra etc. stuff. A lot of them go straight to the spam folder. It's still annoying, because I have to check this folder too for any important mails that may have landed there. But a lot of the spam mails also come directly to my inbox. I already set a lot of rules with keywords etc. that they are delete automatically but still there's a lot of them. Is there some way to get rid of them that i'm somehow missing? I have an outlook account and mainly use the mac mail program for it. [link] [comments]  |

I am using a Mini display port to HDMI. - Using a Benfie HDMI Cable 2.0 (Tried multiple HDMI Cables) - Monitor is BENQ PD2500Q - Macbook Pro is running Sierra and is 13 inch mid 2012 (there are no updates for me in the app store) This is a picture of the glitch: Any fixes? Posted: 30 May 2019 11:34 PM PDT Recently I built a new PC, purchasing all new parts and re-using my old video card for gaming purposes, however, when playing games such as GTA V through FiveM, I find my framerate sitting barely above 60 and often dropping below despite my GPU and CPU usage sitting at about 60% at a good temperature. Altering my in game settings has no effect to performance and only drops the usage lower. Why is my GPU not being fully utilised? | Laptop and pc to share monitor and controls - how? Posted: 31 May 2019 01:45 AM PDT I have a PC and a Laptop and one monitor. I am trying to set up as clean as possible where I could click a button and all the controls (keyboard and mouse) and monitor display would switch between the laptop and pc. Currently I have got a KVM switch (ugreen brand from amazon) which I have my pc, laptop, mouse and keyboard conne Ted to it. I have a DP connected to my PC and a HDMI connected to my laptop - both connected to the monitor. I press the KVM hardware button to switch the mouse and keyboard between the PC and Laptop and also manually change the input on the monitor from HDMI to DP. Is there anyway of having a single piece of kit that will do the switch - both monitor and controls - with a touch of a single button? I know it's not difficult to press a button and change source on the monitor but I am trying to get the cleanest setup! :) [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 31 May 2019 01:40 AM PDT So I upgraded my internet's speed today and they gave me a new modem which is also a router. But unfortunately while loading any multiplayer game or even while in the lobby, it disconnects me saying Error: connection to server timed out. The thing is that I tried using LAN cable too and it does the same thing. Surprisingly, there is no problem with the internet itself as it runs videos smoothly and quickly on pc, ps4, or cellphone. My ping as seen from the loading screen is also like 24. I am starting to think that it disconnects for a split second which doesnt make a difference with the streaming videos or using the internet but the multiplayer games realize the split second disconnect and disconnect me from the game. Any help would be immensely helpful. If i call my isp, what do I tell them so that they can help me better? Btw, I have also tried turning both ps4 and the modem on and off. Posted: 30 May 2019 09:42 PM PDT I was using Messenger on Android and I accidentally linked the Messenger profile of my deceased friend to my mom's phone number (my phone was likely in my pocket at the time and somehow the "add name and photo to this number" thing was activated without my knowledge). The two are obviously not the same person (my mom is alive and well) and I need help unlinking my mom's number with my dead friend's Messenger profile. I can only seem to unlink the number by turning off the upload contacts option but I don't want to have to do that, just remove the incorrect name and photo from my mom's phone number [link] [comments]  |
| PC Crashing, Blue Screen, FPS Drop Posted: 30 May 2019 09:40 PM PDT Before getting into it, I will list my PC specs: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM Intel Core i5-8600K @ 3.60Ghz GeForce GTX 1080 250GB SSD 1TB HDD So I have noticed lately that my PC has suffered from several instances of the blue screen of death lately (around 3 times over 2 weeks). Which is peculiar too because before this surge of blue screens, it had never occurred before, not once. Also games that were once running very smoothly with no lag or jitters, are now FPS dropping from heights of 200 FPS+ to literally under 10 FPS, where the game will temporarily freeze (audio stays intact but the game stops moving), and more times than none it will also crash too. Basically rendering this gaming PC redundant and unable to play any games (especially experience this with first person shooter games). I have already uninstalled/reinstalled all of my drivers several times, running virus scans, clearing out files etc.. to no avail. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated, thank you. | Can't right click and left click with trackpad buttons at the same time. Posted: 31 May 2019 04:38 AM PDT I like to play GTA IV on my laptop. The trackpad has three buttons at the top of it, which I use in conjunction with the trackpoint. However, the game requires me to hold down the right mouse button to aim whilst clicking with the left to fire. Although I was able to hold down the right mouse button to aim, clicking the left mouse button did nothing. I used this site ( https://www.onlinemictest.com/mouse-test/ ) to test my trackpad and indeed, whilst holding down the right mouse button, the left mouse button refused to respond when clicked. I've already tried uninstalling the drivers and letting Windows reinstall the drivers itself, which didn't work. I use a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370. [link] [comments]  |

| microphone not working on Gigabyte B85M-D3H Mobo Posted: 31 May 2019 04:21 AM PDT Hey guys, So I recently switched my OS on to an SSD and after reinstalling, and installing the correct drivers, my microphone refuses to work. It is detected by the sound tab under hardware and sound in Control Panel, and even in the Realtek HD Audio Manager. Everything works. From the ports, to the actual microphone itself. I can even hear myself when I increase the playback volume. However, when trying to use it normally, it does not show or even register any audio input. Please let me know what to do, and if needed, I can post screenshots of the audio manager and Hardware and Sound. | Posted: 31 May 2019 04:16 AM PDT So, hi. Here's my trouble - My parents bought me a PC for 3400 Dollars, maybe less. When i turned it on, everything was fine, except 2 games - GTA V and Asassin's creed Syndicate. I don't know how on highest graphics settings (also on lowest) in GTA I have only 17.9 FPS (On lowest maybe 39), and its lagging SOOOOOO hard. And i don't even know wtf is wrong with AC Syndicate - It shows me shit like my graphic card isn't the right one, it's Intel Graphics HD and even on the lowest settings im run out of memory - 3078 MB/197 MB And it's not the computer or card fault, i think, because Fortnite is running on highest settings with 150 FPS, and Watch Dogs 2 is running also on highest and it looks very clean and beatiful. (In settings it also shows NVidia GTX 1070 Ti, not Intel Graphics). I tried a couple of things that I may did wrong while plugging something, and everything was fine - the cable fits in only one port and it was in that port. I tried get into NVidia Control Panel, but everything i Can do is get into GeForce Experience, not NVidia Control Panel - it shows me an weird error - "NVidia display settings are not available, you are not currently using a display attached to Nvidia GPU". As I said, HDMI was ok so i don't know where problem is.. Please help, i don't want to break smthing in it. (You can DM Me literally all the time, except in the night time. I live in Poland, i think it's EEST time but im not sure. It is 13:16 at the time of writting) (As I said, I'm from Poland and i don't write or speak English very well. Sorry for all weird sentences or mistakes. Im scared of using Google Translate because it translate more bad than i would.)
