| Can't disable battery optimization for pre-installed apps Posted: 29 Mar 2019 01:06 PM PDT Just as the title says. Presently on my OP6t I can't disable the battery optimization for any app that was pre-installed. If I tap 'Battery Optimization' in the app settings, it takes me to a list of apps (the same one I would get if I went settings>battery>battery optimization), but pre-installed apps aren't there. I think it's probably something to do with querying an app-list, because I remember default Android doesn't show you system apps when you view the app list (you have to toggle it to show you system apps). Thinking perhaps OP just has it nab a basic list of apps here. [link] [comments]  | ||

| OP5 freezes after uninstalling magisk Posted: 29 Mar 2019 03:20 PM PDT Looking for any tips. After a recent update, PingID detected my device was rooted. I flashed the magisk uninstaller but now my phone is extremely unstable. It freezes for about 20-30 seconds every 5 min or so rendering it useless. I cleared the cache using the stock recovery. I did have TWRP but it got overwritten after unrooting. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. [link] [comments]  | ||

Like just have the small blue bar instead of the big white block. Or honestly I would be cool with no meter showing at all during videos. | Posted: 29 Mar 2019 12:51 PM PDT I've recently become more concerned with mobile security and have been looking into VPNs, secure browsers, and file encryption. I really like the OnePlus file manager and it's lockbox feature, but it isn't encrypted like Samsung's secure folder. I'd like to find something that functions in a similar fashion but encrypts the files put into the lockbox. I've tried Crypt4All lite, Folder Lock, and KYMS but the interfaces are weird, I have to encrypt one thing at a time instead of being able to select an entire folder, all it's subfolders, and all the files inside, and if I pull something out of the vault it just dumps the files I to a single folder instead of keeping my folder structure intact. | Huge issues with oneplus 6t 8GB 128GB Posted: 29 Mar 2019 11:20 AM PDT I was using my device as usual and suddenly it shuts down when I was trying to open snapchat. Whatsapp can be opened sometimes but the keyboard wont pop up. When I try to open other apps the whole thing restarts and it demands my passwort but the whole touchscreen isnt working for like 30 seconds. After I wait for these 30 seconds I can acces to my homescreen but as soon as I try to open any apps the whole process repeats. Im getting tired of it because this problem happened 2 months ago but it stopped to lag and I dont know why. I really love this cellphone especially because its fast af but lags like these let me thing about a Google Pixel purchase in the future. Maybe other users are experiencing similar lags and I would be very gratefull if anybody had a solution for this. Thanks Edit: the lags stopped after I charged my device. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 29 Mar 2019 10:24 AM PDT Hey guys, I have a couple of suspicions as to root cause, but I wanted to put this out there in case someone else has any experience to share on the matter. Some time around Xmas break I flashed my OP3 with the Havoc OS ROM and I've been keeping it up to date since. At the same time, I bought a 3rd party battery off an Amazon reseller, and installed it to have a fresh top-tier battery capacity and refresh the whole phone experience. Since then, I've been experiencing constant random phone shutdowns... sometimes when I'm using the phone, sometimes when it's in standby. Seems to occur after the phone gets below 70% battery but not consistently. Of course the first two suspects are a battery problem or O/S problem. I'm wondering if anyone has some pointers on diagnosing the cause of theses shutdowns and addressing them. It's driving me nuts but I don't want to buy a new phone unless it's truly necessary. At some point soon I'll probably try reflashing the whole O/S and see if it fixes things, and if not, dig up my old phone battery and pop it back in. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Galaxy s3 frontier and 3t pairing issues Posted: 29 Mar 2019 09:03 AM PDT Hello all, Just recently got a Galaxy S3 frontier and having some issues getting it paired. Looks like it's mixed results on it working. Out of the box it paired for about 5min and then lost connection, after that it won't pair at all. The phone can see the watch under the bluetooth settings. I've tried resetting the watch, forgetting the pairing on the phone, cleared cache on the phone for the wearable app. Even reset the watch multiple times. Out of ideas. When everything is reset, the wearable app will see the watch, get the prompt to confirm the PIN on both phone and watch, confirm it, then the wearable app just goes back to the device selection screen. The watch just sits at the "see phone to continue set up" screen. Any ideas on what I can do? Or do I have a $200 paperweight. If the watch seems like the problem, what other smartwatches you recommend that are known to work well with the 3t? [link] [comments]  | ||
| What's the code to check if there OPO is getting a charge as it should. Posted: 29 Mar 2019 08:39 AM PDT I gave my older OPO to my missus last year. I jumped to the 5t and for her a Nokia 5510. Not joking. Anyway the battery on my OPO was draining fast so I replaced it and it works great. As been for the last year. Thing is it now takes ages to charge. Like 10 hours to go to full charge. What's the best way to check if the cable is not borked as the *#808# doesn't work on the OPO. Any advice? Edit: So this is reading 3.835v @ 43%. Battery capacity is 3100 mAh and it's transferring at a min of 20-200mA that fluctuates rapidly Battery health is 'Good' for what it's worth Any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||
