TIL you can set swipe up to answer Posted: 02 Oct 2018 03:31 PM PDT Probably old news that I missed. If you select the dialer then menu (three dots), there is an option to swipe up to answer. Now if I can unlearn the wrong OnePlus answering scheme. Way deep in the menus is a way supposedly to block revealing your phone number. I say supposed because nobody ever told me my number was blocked. I don't crank call, so I unselected that option. [link] [comments]
OnePlus Gestures app has been a game changer Posted: 02 Oct 2018 08:14 AM PDT I installed the OnePlus Gestures app on my OP6 a week ago and have been using it since then. It has been a game changer for me, and I love the phone even more now. While I enjoyed the OxygenOS default gestures, I hated the gesture you have to do for seeing recent apps, and also wished there was a way to quickly go back to the last app you were using. With the OnePlus Gestures app, I have it setup to just double tap the bottom of the screen to see my recents, and I also have it set to slide left to go to my last used app. There are a ton of other options & customizations too. It works super fast & smooth, and makes overall navigations so much easier. The only downside is that it takes up part of the space at the bottom so tapping the keyboard is tricky sometimes when typing. But, you can adjust how big or small the area at the bottom is for gestures, so that helps. Does anyone else use this app, or one similar for gestures? [link] [comments]

Android 9, Oxygen OS - Volume Control Weirdness Posted: 02 Oct 2018 06:28 AM PDT Why does the volume pop up not expand to allow you to control alarm and ring volume like in stock Android? Am I missing something? It's rather annoying having to go to the audio settings menu to make changes 😕 Example: http://imgur.com/gallery/pU9M1WE [link] [comments]
Battery life for OP5T is suffering again. Posted: 02 Oct 2018 12:24 PM PDT Hi, I've had my OnePlus 5T since November 2017, and the battery backup has been pretty consistent ever since. I've been getting nearly 6-7 hours of SoT on a single charge, and have been pretty satisfied with it. However, in the last couple of weeks I've noticed my battery tends to run out rather quickly (in half a day mostly), and the battery page shows Android system using the most amount of battery everyday. Any suggestions to fix this? [link] [comments]
[OP6 9.0] Weird whatsapp bug - taking picture inside app takes ~15 second Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:52 AM PDT When im trying to take a photo in a conversation through app after clicking the shutter button nothing happens (the viewfinder view is live) , controls disappear and that last about 10-15 seconds and then it takes picture. Nothing seems to help like clearing cache, memory, reinstall app and even reinstall system. Can you help? [link] [comments]
How Did Some Missing Photos Turn Into Thumbnails Posted: 02 Oct 2018 08:10 PM PDT My husband and I noticed that I'm missing about 1.5 months' worth of images (end-May thru mid-July 2018) from my OnePlus one phone (yes, I know, really old). We looked through the photo gallery on his computer from what he pulled off my phone last month (photos from the beginning of mid-July), and there are at least 100 photos dated July 13th that are just thumbnails, which may be images taken within those 1.5 months but all are recorded with that specific date. What could have possibly happened to cause this? We didn't perform updates or anything from end-May until I returned home in September. I don't think I left my phone around for it to be tampered with, but is that possible? I don't think anyone would care. I don't think I could have easily deleted them as a folder because I don't even know where to find it. I would had to have gone through each image in the camera gallery and deleted it that way, and I wouldn't have been so foolish... at least, I hope not. I wouldn't typically care, but some photographs were of thesis samples that are now completely gone after my husband scrubbed and restored my phone. Thank you for your thoughts! Picked up a new OP5 yesterday, the factory techs forgot to delete these tests Posted: 02 Oct 2018 09:53 AM PDT As the title suggests, I finally upgraded from my poor old broken OP3 and picked up a new OP5 yesterday, and it looks like the factory techs forgot to delete three images and one video they created whilst testing the camera.. Thought some of you might like to see what the assembly line(?) looks like. Edit; Didn't realise Imgur removes the audio from videos, here's the 2 second clip uploaded to YT. [link] [comments]
Pie notifications not expanding when quick tiles are dragged down Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:06 AM PDT Am I the only one with this problem? Because it really doesn't feel like this is intentional. It's just not possible to expand the notifications in this state. They will always stay minimized like this, except when you pull them up, so that the quicktiles minimize. But then the notifications are too far up to comfortably reach them with the thumb. It must be a bug. It's incredibly annoying to go all the way up with the thumb to open a notification.. Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:38 AM PDT I have heard that the OP6 camera is really good but not as good as the most expensive phones. But how much better will it be? [link] [comments]
Anyone else encountering the Camera glitch on the OP6 after upgrading to P? Posted: 01 Oct 2018 09:33 PM PDT Sometimes when opening any app that uses the camera, it only shows black and you have to force stop any other app that uses the camera until it works again [link] [comments]
What could cause battery leakage to a oneplus 6 Posted: 02 Oct 2018 01:39 PM PDT Could a broken charging cable (water damage for example) cause battery leakage? [link] [comments]
OP6 sandstone case very fragile? Posted: 01 Oct 2018 09:54 PM PDT Hi all, I've had my OP3 with a sandstone case for almost 3 years. During that time it has fallen more than I'd care to admit - the case never even scratched, let alone snapped. I've had my OP6 for about a month. Its sandstone case has broken on 3 corners (!) without a single tumble (!!!). I only know how one of them happened - it snagged on my jeans' pocket and cracked. No idea how the other two happened. I'll open a support ticket for a replacement, but in the meantime, has anyone else noticed any particular fragility on OP6's sandstone cases? [link] [comments]
Ever since I cleared the history of my calculator, I can't open it. Posted: 02 Oct 2018 04:27 AM PDT Whenever I open, it says that app keeps on closing. What should I do? OP6 on pie [link] [comments]
I've bricked my phone REALLY hard (OP6) Posted: 02 Oct 2018 01:37 AM PDT I've bricked my phone REALLY hard (OP6) I can't boot from twrp (enchilada or blue spark). I've tried to reflash everything but I just get a black screen with the led on, on boot/reboot. I've tried this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6-t3796665 What to do? EDIT SOLUTION: This worked, thank god [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Oct 2018 09:08 AM PDT I've been away from one plus since the two. What's the current state of custom roms? Any that severely improve camera performance? [link] [comments]
Can't press anything on Google's fancy schedule result tables. OP6 Posted: 02 Oct 2018 12:54 PM PDT So when you Google "nhl schedule" or something of the sort, it brings up a nice clean formatted table that shows you all the times and games and stuff. Same if you Google a store, it shows hours, reviews, etc. Problem is, I can't actually press anything. I see the buttons get darker as if I'm pressing them but they just don't do anything. Has anyone else had this problem? I restarted my phone once and I think it fixed it temporarily, but I'm not restarting my phone every time I want to see the reviews of a restaurant. Anyone using Google Camera on their OP6? If so what is your experience so far? Posted: 02 Oct 2018 08:06 AM PDT I'm still on Oreo as when I install the latest Oreo version, the camera crashes when I switch to portrait mode. I tried the Pie version to see if it works and it's extremely laggy and slow when switched to portrait version. [link] [comments]
Does the 3T still suffer from battery drain on Oreo? Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:30 AM PDT Hey guys, I've yet to update my phone from Oxygen OS 4.5.1 following issues that was reported on this sub quite a while ago. Those of you with a 3/3T, how is your battery life? Additionally, are you experiencing bugs/decreased performance? My phone is displaying Oxygen OS 5.0.6 as the latest update, and I'm still contemplating updating it. Any feedback would be appreciated [link] [comments]

How Durable is the case in the OnePlus 6 box? Posted: 02 Oct 2018 10:28 AM PDT I just got my first OnePlus device ever (silk white 6) and it's gorgeous. I like the clear case that it came with a lot, but based on YouTube videos it looks like the phone itself is quite fragile. Is the case it came with durable (able to make the phone survive a normal drop)? If not, can you recommend to me a thin and clear case that is better? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Delayed notifications since 9.0 Pie Posted: 01 Oct 2018 11:53 PM PDT Anyone else experiencing delayed notifications on their OPO6? Before 9.0 everything was fine, but ever since I updated I'm getting my notifications anywhere from 5-55 minutes later. It's - really - annoying and a huge dealbreaker for me. I've tried everything so far in regards to turning off application optimalization for the specific apps (WhatsApp, Twitter etc.), WiFi always sleep settings and more. Nothing seems to help. Anyone found the magic cure? [link] [comments] |
