OnePlus Says It’ll Bring Phones to US Carriers and They’ll be Bloatware Free

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 08:35 AM PDT

Am I a crazy person for liking the case that came in the box (OnePlus 6)?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 04:59 AM PDT

I see all these people raving about all these other cases, but the one they included looks really nice to me, isn't too bulky and has raised edges?

What am I missing that's compelling people to spend £30/40 on replacements?

[OP3] Didn't realize how dirty my Orzly case was after two years of abuse until I replaced it with the new one

So I got my new silicone case in the mail today, I didn't realize how worn out the old one was. The phone is still running great after 2 years of daily use.

Facebook messenger lite just says "sending" forever, doesn't receive new messages unless I close then re-open it?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 10:13 AM PDT

Bizarre issues here. When I send a message on fb messenger lite it just says "sending forever". I have to close the app and open again for it to send. Also I don't receive new messages or get notifications unless I close the app and open again. Anyone else ekth this issue, or any ideas? I might try to reinstall. I have background battery optimization turned off, I thought that was the culprit.

I'm returning my OP6 if they don't fix the drain soon.

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:59 AM PDT

My new OP6 was delivered about 10 days ago with OOS 5.1.0. I soon updated it straight to 5.1.7 in one go and then to 5.1.8 without thinking twice. The battery has been awful since then, lasting for barely 3 hours of SoT instead of about 8 as I expected. I was making 5-6 with OP5 with the same usage and at least the same number of apps. Based on the headlines, I blame OOS 5.1.8 as well, but I have not experienced the phone prior to the update much.

Today, I decided that if there isn't an update to decrease the energy consumption, I'll return the phone, as awesome as it is, within the 15 day return period and go back to OP5.

Is any of you finding yourself in a similar situation? How do you recommend to proceed?

Edit: I did not root it yet. I did try a factory reset, to no avail, it was a waste of time. Francisco Franco's Naptime has helped a bit, but really just a bit.

    Fire Emblem Heroes

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 10:41 AM PDT

Hello. I've been looking for a new phone and the OnePlus 6 caught my attention while I was browsing. However, I remember there being issues with the OnePlus 5 and 5t being compatible with Fire Emblem Heroes. Does the OnePlus 6 also have difficulties playing FEH? Thanks.

    [OP5T] FIX: Automatic Screen Orientation

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 04:06 PM PDT

I recently encountered an issue where my screen got stuck on portrait regardless of the app I'm in (including Camera).

Downloaded an app to record sensor state detections where no orientation changes were being detected.

I tried toggling Automatic Rotation and rebooting the device.

What seemed to work was rebooting into safe mode by long tapping (holding) on the red 'Power off' button until a dialogue box comes up stating that the device will enter into safe mode.

Once I proceeded and the device booted, I tried changing the orientation which tonmy relief worked, meaning it was not a hardware issue. Booted back the device to its normal state and the functionality was restored.

OnePlus 5T (128 GB Model) OxygenOS 5.1.3 1 May 2018 Security Patch Build ONEPLUS A5010_43_180613

tl;dr: Reboot device into safe mode and back into normal state fixes the issue.

Wireless earphones that charge via USB type C

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 09:54 AM PDT

I use a 3T, and chances are my next phone will also be using usb C.
Since I don't wanna carry/use two types of cables or adaptors, I'm looking for a pair of earphones (in-ear) that charge via USB C.
Bullets wireless are not in stock, and the only others I could find are RHA MA650/750 wireless. Both of which are more expensive than OP bullets. "Truly wireless" isn't something I'm interested in.
Also interested in on ear headphones if I can find a good pair.
So, what are you people using? Any good options?

My Oneplus 6 doesn't focus properly at all when close. Is this normal?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 07:26 AM PDT

I try taking a picture of my eyes and it's all blurry. Doesn't matter which camera I use, selfie or back. Even my iPhone 5S could do this better. Is this normal for this phone or did I get a dud?

The oneplus bullets wireless are still not available in Canada again!

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 07:20 AM PDT

I originally saw on their website that they will replenish their stock on June 19th, but it's still out of stock. Are they just working on replenishing their stock still? Or did it sell out in minutes on June 19th? Can anybody but these things? I want to get them!

What all comes in the OP6 box?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 02:02 PM PDT

I've looked on their site and it shows 2 different answers so I figured I'd just ask yall.

    https://www.oneplus.com/6/specs From here it says:

    In the box

    1x OnePlus 6

    1x Screen Protector (pre-applied)

1x Translucent Case (we recommend assembling the protective case from the bottom)

1x OnePlus Fast Charge Type-C Cable

1x OnePlus Fast Charge Power Adapter

    1x SIM Tray Ejector

    1x Quick Start Guide

    1x Safety Information

So cool it comes with a case which is really all I'm interested in here.

But on the actual product page (https://www.oneplus.com/oneplus-6) it shows this.

So as you can see I'm confused. I really just want to know if I need to get a case or not. I'm considering just using it naked as that white one looks sleek AF. Works paying for half of it so the less I can expense the better.

    Thanks for any input!

    Difference Oneplus 6 CHN/IN and EU/USA

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 09:20 AM PDT

    Hello everyone!

I don't own a Oneplus 6 yet but I have been looking for a nice deal. One thing that I found was that the Chinese/Indian version was a bit cheaper than the EU/USA version.

The main difference that I found was the ROM thats on it and a small difference between the available bands. The bands B30 (2300), B32 (1500), B66 (1700/2100) and B71 (600) are missing. Another thing that will definitely be different is the provided net adapter.

As far as the frequency bands go the Chinese/Indian version works just as well as the European one. But I'm wondering if there is something else different that I'm missing that would have a bigger impact?

    Thanks in advance!

Does anyone else have a problem where apps just stop out of nowhere

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 11:21 AM PDT

On my OnePlus 5T I use a app called PDANet to use my mobile data on my laptop and for some reason, randomly, it will just disconnect and make me go back into the app and resart the connection. Not sure if it the phone or app. (I uninstalled and reintaled and even wiped my phone) Just here to get ideas on how to fix it.

Advice on what phone I might get

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 10:39 AM PDT

    Hi,

My OnePlus 3 was stolen 13 hours ago and I probably need a new phone. I am traveling with 4 other people, and I won't be home for quite some time.

My dilemma is that while I should get a new phone to communicate with my travelers and with family, I'm worried that it'll be stolen again, which means I should get a cheap phone, but that is a waste in my opinion because I just spent a bunch of money on a phone just to get a new one when I return. Alternatively, I could get a more decent phone, but it would be more expensive and I fear that it would be stolen again. However, the place I am in does not offer a lot of options, so theres that factor as well.

Of course, I'd love to get the OnePlus 6 but with my budget and our travel schedule I don't think that is feasible.

I'm not sure if I should get a phone that I like while in my travels, get a cheap phone just for now, get a semi-decent phone to use during travel and when home, or just to hope I don't get lost and wait until I return home to get a new phone.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or has some advice, I'd love to hear it.

Also, I am worried about my data. I know that the thief probably doesn't care for what I have stored, but I would rather that my device get wiped and my data secure to an extent. So far, I've changed passwords on my google accounts and other social media and asked Virgin Mobile to blacklist the phone's IMEI. I've also requested that the phone be locked and wiped on the android device manager, or google's "find my device" service, but the phone hasn't connected to the internet as far as I can tell, since it was last seen 15 hours ago. The phone was also protected with passwords, but while the nice OnePlus representative assured me that the password will protect my phone, the Virgin Mobile representative warned that many programs can break the password. Finally, is it possible to completely brick the phone remotely, so that no one can turn it on even, or is that impossible? Sorry that this is so long and rambling, but it is the first time this has happened, I really like my phone, and I'm worried.

    Thank you!

OP3 need help trying to go back to stock.

    Posted: 28 Jun 2018 09:54 AM PDT

I was running sultans cm13 on my OP3. I want to restore it back to stock.

I flashed the stock recovery thru fastboot.

Then I flashed the latest OTA zip from the stock recovery.

It will not boot, after the oneplus boot animation for several minutes it reboots.
