I messed up windows 10 fall creators update Posted: 26 Apr 2018 01:27 PM PDT I had to do a full reset on my computer and took all of the necessary precautions except one. I forgot to backup my chrome browser and lost all of my favorites and the like for the past year or so. It's there anyway I can retrieve that information? speedtest.net slow, real downloads high Posted: 26 Apr 2018 12:43 PM PDT on speed test.net i have about 130Mbps download, but on torrents i got even 50MB/s. I even tried to download the 1gb file from https://www.thinkbroadband.com/download and it downloads with a maximum of 20MB/s I pay for a 500Mbps connection. I wonder why is this difference between browser speed and torrent I tried to some guide to lower the MTU from 1500 to 1464(thats when i didnt get packet loss anymore) but still the same speedtest.net results edit: https://i.imgur.com/l4qSHmh.jpg avast is the problem, it scans every incoming connection and slows down the speed. Laptop won't charge or turn on. Posted: 26 Apr 2018 05:24 AM PDT I needed to charge my portable charger but I was already using my only wall adapter for my phone so I plugged it into my laptop instead. Everything seemed fine, it was charging and my computer was sleeping. At one point I go to wake my laptop up so I can do stuff by pressing the power button like I always do. Instead of it waking up, it turns off, the portable charger stops charging. At first I figure it wasn't actually asleep and I just accidentally put it into hibernate instead. So I wait a minute and try again and the laptop still doesn't turn on. Now I figure its dead, plug the charger in, unplug the portable charger, wait a couple minutes, and try again. Still nothing, not even the indicator that shows that it's charging. It wasn't moved or anything the entire time it was charging and it seems like it didn't have this problem literally until right when I pressed the power button. I don't have the right screwdriver to open the case and check the battery, but the laptop wasn't moved and didn't seem particularly hot. I also already checked the cord multiple times so I don't think that's the problem. [link] [comments] | ||
