| Posted: 26 Apr 2018 07:12 PM PDT Title. It started about a week ago, and I can't get rid of it. I've done some searches and it seems to be something called "ES Swipe" that comes with ES file manager. I haven't had the app in over a year, but I installed it and turned the ES Swipe option off. It still opens up. This has gone from irritating to infuriating as it opens up while I'm playing games, browsing, whatever. Does anyone know how to eradicate this shit? He deleted some texts that he desperately needs retrieved, but can't find out how or which app to download because most guides when you google this recommend computer programs (even, weirdly enough, the links that say no computer needed?). | Scheduled text messaging is not updating Posted: 26 Apr 2018 05:40 PM PDT Over the past month or so, the schedule text messages that I have sent out do not show up on the top of my most recent text messages. But they still send out. And over the past two weeks, I've had schedule text messages that have not send at said designated time because the text message is still shaded in gray. In addition, when I tried to re-send them, a noficiation came up saying that they were sent out, despite still shaded in gray. Today, I restarted my phone and went to see if I needed any software updates. For the latter, my phone is up to date. Anyways, has anyone had any of the issues that I'm currently having? | Snapchat forces open my location settings every time I take a picture/video Posted: 26 Apr 2018 07:10 PM PDT Literally every single time my picture or video finishes rendering it forces open the "location" setting and i have to manually move back to snapchat. This is BEYOND frustrating, it causes instability, lag, battery drain, etc. I've been dealing with this for months now(i believe it just started out of nowhere), and have done everything i can think of. Reinstalling, trying the "beta", resetting cache, app preferences, restarting phone, even reinstalling the operating system from scratch(via ODIN on the computer). Nothing works. The only thing i can do is to turn on location on my phone and it will stop, but there is still lag inbetween pressing the button and the picture rendering(like it was checking to see if my location is on, the same time it takes to force me into the settings), it uses up a lot of my battery(s4 mini, really bad battery usage and small 1900 mahs), and potentially my data, even with GPS only on. I also don't like the constant location notification, my data being shared, and most importantly, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECIDE IF I WANT TO SHARE MY LOCATION OR NOT. Please, someone have a solution. I don't want to see "just use location" "deal with it" "buy a new phone", etc. If you don't have a solution or aren't trying to gather more data, please don't reply. | Android Auto - do you get notification sounds for Telegram or other apps? Posted: 26 Apr 2018 07:03 PM PDT I used to get notification sounds for Telegram but that was before AA would follow my Do Not Disturb rules. As a result I turned off all sounds in AA. I have now turned them back on (after a few months without) but Telegram doesn't seem to work. SMS and calls work fine. I have tried with and without Do Not Disturb turned on. I have also reinstalled both apps and restarted my phone. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Are Telegram notification sounds no longer supported? To be clear - The notification pop up and cards appear. They temporarily mute any media I have as if there should be a sound but no notification sound plays. Everything works normally outside of AA. | Moto G5 Plus: SanDisk SD Card Missing Posted: 26 Apr 2018 06:24 PM PDT Hello. So just this afternoon, in the middle of using an app (PokemonGo if it is relevant) the app crashed and came up with the window saying something along the lines of: "this app keeps crashing" and there were two options, close app or send in a report. So I closed the app, and restarted the phone, thinking my RAM was full and could use a reset. Upon the reset, the notification: "SanDisk SD Card Missing" popped up on the icon tray. It has happened before after a reset, usually after a software update, and after a few minutes the SD will be found and all the data and app on it will show up again. I have my SD card (128 gb) formatted as internal storage, so without it I am missing half my apps. I looked online for a solution and came up with 2 main fixes from this thread:
Herein lies my problem. I cannot find the gallery app, and therefore cannot delete the photos. The app no longer appears on my phone (I am assuming it was on my SD Card, hence the error) so I connected my phone to the computer through the USB my computer tells me: "We're having trouble connecting. Make sure your device is unlocked, and that you accept the notification to connect." Which I have done multiple times. I will select the icon on the icon tray for USB for file transfer and swtich options (from charge device to transfer files and then when that didn't work I tried transfer photos (PTP) and Use device as MIDI (which I don't know what it means) but none of those worked.) So if anyone could please help me figure out how I can delete these corrupted files from my SD Card so that it can be read again, I would greatly appreciate it. My SD Card has a lot of data on it that I do not want to format it and re-load all the information, as that will take a long time (and I'm not sure where I even have it all saved). If you need more information, please let me know, I would appreciate any insight on how I can fix the problem of my SD card not being read. Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

A couple of days ago my Instagram account was hacked, the name changed and password, got back in through Facebook and changed them back . Then the next day they were changed again, I proceeded to completely delete the account. This morning I woke up to Amazon notifying my that a $1000 laptop I did NOT order was being shipped to me. I checked and it was, and the $ was gone from my banking acct. Is this coincidence or is there keylogger software installed somewhere stealing my info? | Posted: 26 Apr 2018 02:12 PM PDT Device: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 No custom Rom or anything. Last night I was using my phone while charging and I noticed that the battery percentage kept going down. I thought nothing of it because I was casting and browsing Reddit at the same time. I stopped using my phone at around 1 or 2% and went to bed, the phone still 'charging'. The next morning my phone was turned off and when I tried to turn it on the bootloop started. My theory is that the battery does not have enough power to finish the boot. The problem is that the phone does not stays turned off. As soon as I plug in the phone the bootloop starts. I can enter fast boot mode by holding power button and volume down button but it's just a screen that says 'fast boot' and nothing I can do. The screen stays on long, it's not looping or anything. I cannot enter recovery mode by holding the power button and volume up, it simply does not work. Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance! I have some experience with ADB but not much. Here are the things I've tried: -restarting the phone -force stopping Google play -disabling and enabling Google play -made sure my data was unrestricted -made sure the phone was up to date -cleared google plays cache and data -cleared the phones cache -ran a malware scan Any ideas? Just updated from 2.9ish to latest 3.0ish Android Messages and the mute conversation/turn off notifications function after a long press is gone. Is this by design? Am I missing something? | Having problems with Substratum theming. Posted: 26 Apr 2018 01:42 PM PDT I found Substratum after getting my S9+ and when it works, it's absolutely great. It's a pain in the ass to get going though and I basically hit "Build and Enable", "Build and Update", "Enable Selected", and "Change Overlay States" and reboot my phone in a random order until the theme decides to apply. I've tried following the directions to the letter, even uninstalling and reinstalling the theme and the app, but it never works the first time around. It takes me at least a half hour to get the theme applied. Why do I keep applying it? Because the theme is disabled every reboot despite the fact that it's not supposed to. This all applies to Swift Black. For whatever reason, Status Bar Icons for Samsung works flawlessly. Applies the first time and stays applied after reboots. My latest debacle is this. Notification Panel All The Way Down As you can see, you can't see the words or Icons. The time on the notification bar is always that color on the homepage. I just happened to get lucky with this wallpaper to be able to see it. Most of the time I can't. I also can't read half my notifications because the font is dark grey on black (depending on the app). When I'm in an app though, the wording on the notification bar is bright white though and I can see the time and whatnot just fine. Seen here Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm afraid of changing anything because of the headache the damn theme causes me in the first place, let alone going through all the different apps and messing with them. Thanks. [link] [comments]  |
| iOS text & mms messages getting sent to email instead of to my Android phone Posted: 26 Apr 2018 11:24 AM PDT My family (all of whom have iPhones) occasionally send group messages to my various email addresses instead of as an MMS to my phone. When this happens the messages are from "5551234567@mms.att.net" and to "myemail@gmail.com". I had an iPhone 5 years ago, but have had two android phones and two carriers since then. I tried deregistering my phone number (https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/), but it said "Your phone number is not registered with iMessage.". I removed the phone number from iCloud and deregistered it five years ago. I haven't logged into the iCloud account since and no longer can (it keeps sending codes to--you guessed it--the iPhone that no longer exists), so I don't know if there's some setting in there that could be changed. This only happens in group messages with iOS users. It only happens with my family--who are also the only iOS users who had me in their contacts when I had an iPhone five years ago. This has been happening for at least two years (I found instances of it at least that far back in one of my email inboxes). This just started happening with a brand new email address too. Since today some of my apps like Twitter, Twitch, Gearbest or Tinder are directly crashing when I launch them. At the same time, BaconReader (the unofficial Reddit app) started to do the same, so I downloaded Boost, Relay, Sync for Reddit... Exactly the same problem, only the official app is working! I tried to update my software (Asus Zenfone 3, Android 8.0), reboot my phone, reinstall the apps, but nothing works... Anyone has an idea for this problem ? Thanks [link] [comments]  |
