Posted: 25 Dec 2017 05:45 AM PST Hey /r/AndroidApps It's been a while.. I've been working away at Shuttle, and I've made a ton of improvements. A lot of changes have taken place behind the scenes, to improve the performance of the app, reduce crashes and make Shuttle easier to add to and maintain. For those who don't know it, Shuttle is a local music player for Android. You have to copy songs to your device in order for them to show up in the app. This doesn't really compete well with Spotify and Play Music and other cloud services, but it's a great music player if you're happy to store your music locally. Shuttle now themes itself dynamically based on your artwork, which is downloaded automatically from Last.fm and iTunes. There's loads of customisation. I like to think it has a modern interface and it's intuitive to use. The paid version features tag editing, chromecast support as well as a few other minor features. Shuttle was my first programming project, and I used it to learn java and Android. I'm now a professional Android and iOS developer, and I'm starting to learn backend development as well. Shuttle+ is now 50% off for the Christmas period. So, merry christmas and enjoy the update! Changelog: 2.0.0 Features:

Happy Holidays!! Here are Free IAP codes for 4.Do - To Do List & Task Manager [DEV] Posted: 25 Dec 2017 10:00 AM PST In the spirit of the holidays, I am giving away 250 free codes for 4.Do The app is a free app but the codes get rid of the ad in the app.
What does the app do? It is a to-do list based on the book "7 habits of highly effective people". Rather than just making a list of stuff to get done, it sorts them into quadrants based on importance and urgency. That way you know what to tackle first.
Comments, questions, concerns are welcome.

IceBreaker conversation game - Free for Christmas [DEV] Posted: 25 Dec 2017 06:58 AM PST Hi reddit, I recently finished my first App and wanted some constructive criticism to upgrade it and share it with you guys here so I made the pro version of my app free for christmas!
So what is the app? IceBreaker ! It's a conversation starter. In brief, there are multiple modes (some will ask you to enter the names of you and your friends like "What do they think?" (which is the best mode in my opinion)) and it will generate random questions to targeted people, naughty questions, debates, dilemmas, etc depending on the game mode chosen. Pretty funny with some friends! (it's not a game where you can play alone obviously)
You can download the app and by yourself here if you want to: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lf.gt.knowy2
I will be glad to hear some feedback of you guys!
tl;dr: Conversation game fun with some friends, pro version free for christmas, want some constructive criticism from you guys! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2017 06:28 AM PST Ever since the last update the UI of the official Reddit app is so laggy and crashes frequently. Thus I figured it was time to try a different client, I don't mind paying a dollar or two either if it's worth it. So suggestions? [link] [comments] |

Android Reddit app chuggy the last couple days? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 03:05 AM PST Hey all, I'm new-ish to Reddit and have been enjoying this Reddit app a lot. It's been great, up until the last couple of days. Now it takes upwards of 30 seconds to open an image, sometimes almost a minute to be able to start typing a comment. I am on a slightly old phone (LG G3), but considering everything's been shiny up to this point, I'm guessing there was an update to the app that has triggered the change, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else experienced this? [link] [comments] |

Scan a whole book with my phone Posted: 25 Dec 2017 04:47 AM PST Hi all! I've been searching for scanning apps in the Play Store and I'm kind of frustrated. I have a couple of old books that I would like to scan but don't want to put on my flatbed scanner because I don't want to physically force them open flat (to avoid any damage to them). I know there are many apps that let you scan a piece of paper and straighten it up through an algorithm or by manually adjusting its shape, in fact I've used one of those a couple years ago, but in this case I'd need an app that is tailored toward scanning many successive pages, not individual documents (because it would be an incredible hassle to have it capture every single page and turn it into an individual PDF document or image file). I need to tell the app: this page is scanned correctly, let's go to the next one, and have it all saved sequentially in a PDF or at the very least, a folder, with sequentially named images. Now this is where the Play Store doesn't help. Every scanning app seems to be orientated to single-page scanning instead of books. I'm under the impression that several apps fitting my purpose must exist, but maybe they are obscure and don't pop up in the Play Store's suggestions. Free is better, of course, but I am willing to pay for an app that does what I need. If there are any suggestions, I'll be grateful! Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
App to select and stick to a Wi-Fi network Posted: 25 Dec 2017 02:06 AM PST Hello All, ftp here... I would like to ask if there is any application that can do what in the title; let me explain better: in my workplace we have 5 different Wi-Fi networks, each of them related to one single service, VoIP, Guest internet, Company Intranet, and others. As we have some company provided smartphones it is ideal for us to check on those network reliability, but having them all registered is a problem, as moving within different floor with the elevators makes one network to disconnect, and upon exiting, we are connected to another, maybe losing the VoIP. Same if we move from under the signal of an AP connected to the first controller, to another one which is on the second one. There is something that once selected the Network, only tries to connect to that network, and only if a button is pressed, it cycles through the one saved, and accessible? Thanks in advance to All and, Merry Christmas, Mirko [link] [comments] |

App for remotely downloading torrent (Via my Android) on PC? Posted: 24 Dec 2017 10:56 PM PST Hi all, I tried searching for a torrent app on my phone that will allow me to download torrents onto my PC, But my searches on reddit and google only show me apps that allow me to download torrent files on my phone, not my PC. I know there used to be one because I used to use one years ago, but I can no longer remember the name of the app Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Dec 2017 08:42 AM PST Hello everyone, first of all Merry Christmas and I hope everyone is having a great time! I'm currently looking for a good keyboard. My top 3 picks are Gboard, Fleksy and SwiftKey. I write alot based on predictions, and I know some say SwiftKey is the king, but I've also read that is a ram hog and that it's pretty laggy. If it would be between Gboard and Fleksy, which one has better prediction system? Also which one is more ram/battery friendly? Of course based in your personal experience. Thank you for your time! Posted: 25 Dec 2017 08:42 AM PST Is there an app that can show the WiFi keys? I have "Wifi QR Share" and it can show my own key, but with a friend's network it only shows a very long hex key instead of the real key (which is maybe 16 characters long, but Wifi QR Share shows 30 or 40 characters). Suggestion for a game: Space Pig Posted: 25 Dec 2017 07:31 AM PST Space Pig is burning addictive game that all your friends will want to play. Your mission is to tap Piggy so it can fly and avoid obstacles to get enough points so you can advance to the next planet. It is easy to play but extremely hard to master so you will be coming back for more. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smoothiestudio.spacepig [link] [comments] |
