Need advice on Dell lemon
wich one should i buy? i know nothing about computers but i need one for class.
How does this laptop look? I can't think of a better deal than this.
I plugged in my laptop charger when I started using it but then it suddenly turned off. I’m pretty sure the battery was near 5% or less. Is it normal?

I'm doing some data analysis on Reddit data and I looked at the posts in this subreddit to see what laptops are mentioned the most. The current timeframe is 300 days.

If people find this interesting, I'll publish more analyses in the future, like

Sentiment analysis (how positive/negative are the mentions)
how did mentions change over time

Could you have guessed the top 5? ;) A bit surprising that the winner is that far ahead.

Need advice on Dell lemon

I bought a Dell G15 at Best Buy about 3 weeks ago.

My battery didn't hold much power when I bought it but I was lazy and just kept using it. This morning the Dell power app started spamming and dinging that I had an unauthorized battery and it would no longer charge it, making the laptop all but unusable.

I called Dell support via my support app and got a terrible phone operator who wouldn't talk to me until I upgraded my warranty. I called Best Buy and found out I'm now outside of the return window.

What are my options?

Newer laptops with powerful CPU and GPU, logically a wider laptop will perform a better thermal management. So when buying a gaming laptop should I be aware of a to small form factor? Or just need to see if the laptop has better solution for heat exhaust and ventilation. Let me know!

HP Envy x360 15 2020 NIC

Hi,

I have a problem with my HP Envy x360 15 2020 network card (problem appears on windows 10 and 11).

Nearly everytime I close the Laptop and reopen it, the wificard disappears out of the device manager and I have no Wifi connection. I can connect so BT but not Wifi. I have to restart the computer to solve the problem.

So for some reason I just found a few laptops that meet all my criteria after settling on another one that will be delivered tomorrow. My criteria is 12+gb ram, 512gb+ ssd, usb-c charging, and full size sd card reader -- This is not for gaming, but I run quite a few websites that I need halfway decent graphics for editing and speed for frequent 5+gb transfers
