- Google play protect keeps removing all the permissions from most apps like every week. They say i haven't used the apps in like 3 months but this is false. they remove permissions from apps that i use everyday. i even unchecked the "remove permissions if app isn't used" but it still happens.

All google related apps are working fine, also Netflix and Whatsapp, but any other like reddit, discord, waze Amazon and others wont work if not on WiFi I'm also unable to connect to some websites (like discord from Google wont work for example). I have no idea what's causing it, i've tried: -tweaking any data related setting on the phone (per app authorisation, switching between 3g, 4g or 5g, and, reset all data settigs and more) -trying different DNS or APS -tried about any solution i could find on Google. The only thing left would be reset to factory settings, but i though i'd ask here before if there's a possible fix. This is driving me nuts, especially waze working only on wifi (which i'll admit is also very funny) So if anyone here has an idea ! Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

If I buy a used phone which was originally locked to a carrier, and then unlocked, does the carrier still provide updates to the phone, or does the manufacturer? Her phone keep changing settings. Mainly the ring volume. She will set it for max volume and next am it is on vibrate. Are there any settings to lock it so it does not change? | How to access /Android/data files in Android 12? Posted: 28 May 2022 08:15 AM PDT I'm running a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and the latest Android 12/OneUI 4.x update. I want to access the data files in /Android/data but the folder shows blank and empty. Right now I have to us a PC to access the folder, but the idea behind buying this tablet was that it would replace my failing Windows PC. I don't really need a PC, so I want the Tab S8+ to be my only machine. Except, you know, I need to be able to browse and copy all the files on my tablet that I paid for. I've found videos about how to do this (allegedly; haven't tried them yet) but I don't want to download some scammer's app and then give it full access to my files. Is there any safe and legit way to do this, or will I have to go buy a $300 Walmart laptop so I can access all my files? Thanks. :) [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 28 May 2022 07:58 AM PDT Hi. I bought a cheap Android 9 dual-sim phone to use in USA with my 2 SIMs from Europe. The problem is I can only get service on only 1 of them (the other one never works in this phone, but works in others). | Android 13 to 12 stuck in fastboot with device state locked Posted: 28 May 2022 03:54 AM PDT I messed around with the Android 13 beta on my Pixel 6 Pro and was annoyed by the bugs. Thinking it wouldn't be a big deal to downgrade to 12, I opted out and got my OTA update. The update ran, my device rebooted and now I am stuck in fastboot with my device state locked, the device wiped and apparently no image to load. I've tried to side load a previous version and get an error saying it is too old. I've tried using fastboot to unlock the device, but it won't unlock. How do I can unlock the boot loader or load some version of Android on my device without being able to get to my settings to change the boot loader? [link] [comments] |

Now stock camera app this maybe true but a thing to note is that the moto edge 30 has the OV50A which the Huawei P50 pro possesses. Posted: 27 May 2022 08:38 PM PDT Here is a quick list of things I would like to do with my new Pixel 4a: - set my access point ("hotspot") SSID to be anything I want - make my hotspot a hidden SSID if I choose to - set DNS servers systemwide (for cellular and wifi connections) without using an app - rsync a directory tree of music to the phone - use a simple file explorer that can see directory trees and browse like real directories EDIT/ADD - attach the phone to linux computer and see phone storage as a mountpoint Are all of these things possible without rooting the phone ?
