    3 Fantastic Role Playing Games!

    Posted: 05 May 2022 10:24 AM PDT

Hello all! I've been regularly posting written mobile gaming content to the iOS Gaming Subreddit for the past few months. However, I have recently been encouraged by a few members of this subreddit to start posting here as well! I'm excited to get to know this community better!

Anyways, Role playing games are some of my favorite games to play, especially on mobile. I wanted to put together a small list of RPG's that I've been enjoying recently! Hopefully it helps others find a fun game to sink some time into!

I also made a short video (2 minutes long) that contains more information and gameplay about each individual game. Feel free to watch it here: https://youtu.be/FYPQ1cREYwM

Alright, without further ado, let's get right into it!

    ———————————————————————

    3 Fantastic Role Playing Games

•Vivid Knight: This game has you explore a wide variety of dungeons where you can encounter enemies, bosses, and new (but optional) companions. Each companion that you choose to add to your party has their own unique strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. It's extremely satisfying to syndergize them together to maximize your party's effectiveness in battle. Battles take a more hands-off approach, similar to what you see in auto-battler games. I normally don't enjoy this type of battle system but Vivid Knight really surprised me with how much casual fun it offers.

•Barcode Fingermon: This game has you collect monsters and battle them against others like you do in Pokémon. However, you can scan different barcodes (that you find on various products in your house) to have a chance at collecting/discovering new monsters. Its battle system is also physics-based, where you can slingshot your monsters into your opponent's monsters in order to defeat them. This game made me feel like a kid again because of its unique scanning gimmick and it was quite a bit of fun for its small price tag.

•Soulvars: This game may just be my favorite turn-based RPG on mobile. It was initially inspired by Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and its beautiful art style and incredible sound design matches (if not exceeds) its inspiration. Soulvars' battles play out a bit like a deck-building game with quite a few unique ideas and mechanics thrown into the mix. It also has a 20+ hour single-player campaign with plenty of new character builds, companions, enemies, and loot to discover. I can't recommend this one enough.

Thanks for reading through my list! Please comment down below with some of your favorites mobile RPG's too! I'm excited to see what y'all share and participate in any discussions that ensue.

Looking for virtual pets on android

    Posted: 05 May 2022 06:38 AM PDT

A game made to just take care of something. Tried some at random and it's always saturated of minifames or excessive micro-transactions. Just want some cute stuff to check on a couple times a day and watch it grow, don't care if they are plants, cats, dogs, ducks or a mini Cthulhu

    lf game like magic survival

    Posted: 05 May 2022 01:25 PM PDT

Magic survival is for people who don't know is a rogue like game, much like archero but different (not a copy paste like every other archero).

Anyway, in this game you run around and shoot stuff and level up, when you level up you gain new powers of upgrading current powers and the game gets harder and harder.

    Looking for this old game

    Posted: 05 May 2022 12:21 PM PDT

So a few years ago maybe 2015-16 i downloaded and played a really fun game i cannot remember the name of It was a turnbased space strategy game, you had to destroy your opponents in each match like a normal strategy game. But you had a galaxy map where you colonized planets built ships and explored like a 4x and a battle map/mode where you'd have the fleets fight in a turnbased battle. There were 3 races, Humans, Blue themed aliens who had really good shields and teleports and Zerg/Tyrannid styled aliens who used Biological ships and boarding actions. If you know the game or think you know it post a link or just the name please it's been bugging me for a month.

Crystal Soul: game based on Mindgames and strategy

    Posted: 05 May 2022 04:21 AM PDT

Hello! I developed a new game and I think the Gameplay is very original: it's based on units and "mind tricks": you must play "mind games" versus your opponent every turn to get resources and get the advantage.

The two players play the turn at the same time. It has different units you must combine to create your strategy.

Also all unit designs, game modes, buff and nerfs and so ,are decided by players on discord (right now we are working on a Stage mode to be released in the next patch) so Join the community if you want to create new content for the game! We also created a new Skin free for all players who collaborate on Discord with their ideas, since being part of the community is part of the fun of this game.

If you have any questions, please just ask! :)

Can DLC or IAP get a discount or price cut in playstore?

    Posted: 04 May 2022 08:24 PM PDT

I have several paid games that have extra DLC or IAP content. I want to buy it but wondering whether DLC can occasionally get discount promotion too like the base game? For example, Dead cells DLC or other DLC.

    Old cat breeding game

    Posted: 04 May 2022 09:00 PM PDT

About 8 to 10 years ago, I remember playing a game where you could breed tons of different cats. It was not Happy Pets, but I do think it had colorful cats. As far as I remember, when you wanted to breed your cats, they would walk away in this grassy area or something and I remember they would pass an arc made of grass. Does anyone know what game this might be? I played it on a Samsung phone but don't remember anything else.

Any games on your android you can go on a killing spree that isn't GTA?

    Posted: 05 May 2022 05:36 AM PDT

I know GTA fits that bill but the controls I can imagine would be a nightmare.

Anything more better for Android where you can sit down and chill and be a complete sadist? Lol

    Frostpunk available now

    Posted: 04 May 2022 09:15 PM PDT

Survival, resource management, base building game.

I'm in the US and I can play this, but your milage may vary.

Taptap has it, I'd post a link but I don't know if that's okay around here. You can get it from the taptap app though.

Frostpunk is a city-building survival videogame developed and published by 11 bit studios. Players take on the role of a leader in an alternate-history late 19th century, in which they must build and maintain a city during a worldwide volcanic winter, managing resources, making choices on how to survive, and exploring the area outside their city for survivors, resources, or other useful items. The game features several scenarios to undertake, each with their own stories and different challenges.

Edit- only here would I get down voted for talking about a game release.
