With your help, it was successful on the first attempt. ROM: Project Elixir The phone works perfectly fine, all the basic functionalities are working, including banking apps. | Posted: 24 Feb 2022 09:23 AM PST So a couple of things about this laptop, i've been using it for years now without serious issues (only had problems with the fans which I replaced). So I got some water damage on it and the battery was still working when it had power. I just cannot charge the battery through the USB C port next to the power button. It seems the water damage stopped this from working. Is there any way I can replace/repair the charging port so it will charge the battery? The battery works as I took it out and was able to charge it via a different laptop. I bought a replacement laptop (same i7, 16gb version) off 2nd hand market here, the laptop is in good condition but for some reason, this one will not work using my 60W USB C charger, when I plug it in the laptop will power off moments later. When it is plugged in i do see it is charging the laptop so it does recognize the cable/charger. What is confusing is the 60W USB C charger worked fine for years on my previous laptop (same spec same everything) it just doesn't seem to work on this replacement one. I have updated all drivers etc. I can only use this replacement laptop with the official white USB charger + cable, somehow this doesn't force windows 10 to turn off. Anyone know why my other charger is forcing it to shutdown but was working fine on the same machine previously? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| "other apps" draining battery on Poco X3 pro Posted: 24 Feb 2022 12:54 AM PST Hi! My phone recently started draining its battery very rapidly for no apparent reason. I tried to track my usage of it and it just didn't make any sense. I used to be able to last the whole day and reach bedtime with 30-40% battery but now I get home from work with around 13%. This isn't some sort of gradual decline, it just happened overnight. I then realized that at the very bottom of the list of apps in the battery usage list there is a listing for "other apps" which are not explained in any way and cannot be accessed. These apps usually drain around 40-50% of battery throughout the day. Did anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to address it? The SMS permissions for the band turn off every single day and if I want to receive texts I have to turn the permissions off and on again. Am I missing something why is the happening?
