I heard from a lot of people that the adapter reduces the audio output quality considerably, but I don't know if the same applies to recordings as well. So, what do you guys think? We followed the advice of waiting for the battery to drain, we did that, we then charged the phone, and when the phone got to around 90%, we wanted to turn the phone on again, and for some reason it didn't wanted to boot. | Posted: 03 Nov 2021 05:41 PM PDT My sister in law's Redmi note 9 pro started acting up yesterday, the fingerprint reader was no longer working and she rebooted to "fix it" the phone entered in a boot loop I've tried factory resetting (power + vol up) it does reset but keeps on a boot loop so my next step was flashing using mi flash tool but I encountered 2 issues: 1.- We're not quite sure if the phone is Chinese or global, she recalls that the phone was in Chinese when she first got it, we don't have the box to get the imei either 2.-While trying to flash either with the global or eu fastboot roms (couldn't find a Chinese version) apparently the MiFlash tool requires the boot loader to be unlocked, this is my biggest problem at the moment as she doesn't recalls ever getting a Mi Account for the phone, we tried to see if Facebook/Google were synced but no luck So my questions are: Is there a way to tell (without having IMEI or S/N) what miui version should this phone have? and Is there a way to flash the fastboot rom without knowing/having the bootloader unlocked? I've found Youtube videos claiming to have tools that can do it but don't want to rick using a unknown to me tool, I hope you can help me, Thank you for any input and I'm open to try different methods [link] [comments]  | ||

I was watching a video on youtube and then i noticed my volume's button and the power one were not working at all. So I tried to reboot my phone by holding down the power button. The device restarts in fastboot mode and I can't get out from it, even if I try to restart it again. I tried to go into recovery mode by holding power+up, but I can't because it shows me the wording "The system has been destroyed - press power to shut down".Upon resetting, it goes to fastboot again. | Posted: 03 Nov 2021 02:02 PM PDT Hi, I'm using a 128GB Mi 10T 12.0.2 If I got to Storage it says 46Gb for apps 16 Gb for videos 10 Gb photos and the rest is around 4 gb If I click on apps the biggest App is Whatsapp but is only 15 gb (including data and media). Then I click on video, and it opens all the videos on the phone, INCLUDING the videos in Whatsapp. So, those videos are counted twice? P.S.: this phone is a blast, but I can't understand why they took away the sd card slot, that appears in the 10T lite version....how disappointing.... [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 03 Nov 2021 06:53 AM PDT Not sure what exactly my post is intended for, maybe a little PSA that ghost touches do not have to be a hardware issue in every case? The ghost touches started some months ago on this phone, and the touches seem to be only in the bottom part of the screen, like the switch apps button or the cancel call button (much fun). It's not my phone so I cannot really test that much, but it seems to only happen after touching the screen first myself, for example quite often, when making a call via a shortcut on screen. And it very often happens when doing a normal call the owner told me. I can click on lots of apps and nothing happens, then I click the shortcut to call my phone and the ghost touches start (not every time). It's super strange. I replaced the whole screen yesterday and the ghost touches still occur from time to time. So 55€ wasted. So I don't think people always saying, it's hardware are correct. But then I don't see why the software (that has not been updated in a year) should suddenly act up. And some people write that they did a factory reset and the problem is still there. I also see posts about chargers - I see no logical reason why a chager should cause anything here, especially when it runs on battery anyway. I found a video of some guy opening the phone and putting some filler material near the bottom where the charge port/speakers are to press down the display or so I guess and some people claim it worked (while others said it does not). | How to fully remove Wallpaper Carousel Posted: 03 Nov 2021 11:12 AM PDT Recently I was gifted a POCO X3 Pro, and it updated to MIUI 12.5.3 as soon as I unpacked it. I come from an Huawi P9 Lite and I admit I'm a bit slow to adapt to new UIs and such, so I've been struggling a bit with some aspect of this new phone. One of the things I've not been able at all to do is to remove the Wallpaper Carousel from the locking screen. I'm used to unlock the phone with the thumb movement that is used here to access the Carousel, but since I have no intention on using that app I want to remove it. I've been googling around and all I've found is either to turn it off from the Carousel settings (but it remains in the locking screen, reactivating when I swipe); or to uninstall it from the app list in Settings, but it is not in that list nor in the system apps list. I found an post saying that you can uninstall it from the Carousel page in the Play Store but once there it says that it is not available to any of my devices... How can I disable it?
