    Please help! Tech Support

    Please help!

Hey! Was hoping to get some advice. So my dumb self downloaded a service on my laptop called Restoro that was supposed to clean my device and repair missing files and what not. I ran it myself and it was going well but, once it self rebooted all it shows was the intro, "Toshiba", and then a black screen. :/ I called the support team and someone told me the technician will call me back in an hr or so. I do not trust them and am thinking I made a huge mistake. Hope someone can help. 🥺

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 02:42 PM PDT

I bought a wifi extender for my home and followed the instructions to the letter, but the must I've ever got is "connected without internet".

I'm not tech savvy and I'm trying to get this done so my son can have internet in his room. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 05:27 AM PDT

    Software won't install whatso ever

    Running Windows 10Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

when trying to install Rekordbox ( which is music managing software)cant find any online solution since nobody seems to have this problemit wont let me install whatso ever , it just stops after the windows admin execution promptNeither any compatibility mode or on a different user account, but it does work in a Virtual MachineI even went to Windows 11 and so to install but that does not solve it either

also it seems that im the only one in the world with this problem

    https://rekordbox.com/en/

    UPDATE :
1 i found out that u Appearently can unpack .exe files (especially installers)

with 7zip... wow thats really neat so from here gonna try to unpack and manually install in some way

2 it still wont install what so ever... even with all the files present,,, after the execution prompt nothing ever happens
3 disabled uac : Now it does give me immidiate prompt of error 0xc000007b

Samsung Galaxy S6 bootloops and freezes in TWRP

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 01:55 PM PDT

    Hey there,

My mum's galaxy S6 froze for no apparent reason ( I suspect some background update). After forced restart, I get the bootloops.. Could still access the standard recovery to erase cache, even managed to get back in the phone which froze again a few minutes later.

Now, on normal boot, I get the "no command /dead android" message. I managed to get Odin PC-Software to recognize the phone in download mode and flashed TWRP in an attempt to get a backup done. But after a few seconds in TWRP, the phone freezes again and also looses PC connection..(tried several versions.. Even 2015 old ones).

Did not want to try flashing the complete stock firmware, as I wanted to save the data on the phone first. I also can access the internal storage via USB on the PC, but It freezes again after few seconds.

Any suggestions what I could try next ? Thx a lot for any help

    USB ports randomly stop working

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 08:10 PM PDT

    Hey there,

I have a desktop computer that's probably about 10 years old or so. Within the past month or so, my USB ports have started acting up.
I'll be using the computer normally, and all of a sudden my mouse will just die. I've swapped out to different mice, and no change. Unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in doesn't fix it, nor does plugging it into a different port. The only solution is to reset my PC.

The problem happens randomly; I've had it occur shortly after starting the PC, and after using it for hours. It doesn't appear to be any specific thing that triggers it.

I also have a wireless adaptor plugged into USB. Often, when I start the PC, I have to unplug and replug in the adaptor to get it to start. The other night, when my mouse died, the USB wireless adaptor also immediately shut off.

One thing that has never been affected, is the keyboard. It never fails.

I fear that perhaps with the age of the PC, it might be parts of the motherboard are failing? Seems weird that only some USB devices are affected and not others, but I've never swapped the keyboard to other ports.

I've also recently uninstalled all the USB devices I had in my device manager and rebooted to allow Windows to reinstall them, but that didn't change anything. I also have all my drivers completely up to date (I use Snappy Drivers).

    Does anyone have any ideas?

PC shuts down during sleep and requires 3 startups to boot.

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 06:25 PM PDT

I've been having a problem with my Windows PC lately. Almost every time I put it to sleep for a long period of time (a few hours maybe) it won't wake up using the keyboard. It also won't turn on with the power button. I need to flip the switch on my power supply, wait a few seconds, then I can flip it back on and press the power button. After pressing the power button once, the LED lights up and I can hear things spinning, but the monitors and USB devices don't turn on. I have to press the reset button. The PC restarts, and the same thing happens, but it seems like more is happening. More things are spinning maybe and the hard drive is starting up. Still no monitors or USB devices. Only after a second restart does it fully boot up.

In addition to being really annoying, I think this is causing a lot of other problems with my system, like messing up transfers of files, since that started happening around the same time.
