    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 11:03 PM PDT

    Did anyone get the miui 12.5 update for their Redmi note 10? If so in what region and how good is it? Buggy? Even worse than the one we have? Let me know please!

    I'm on miui 12.0.10 and my region is set to USA as i heard it has more fluid animations or something.

    Android 11 Ruined My Phone... Flash Time?

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:32 PM PDT

    Two weeks ago, I absolutely loved my phone. Wouldn't have traded it for anything else in my price range. But today, I freaking hate it. And all thanks to the Android 11 update. I told myself I wouldn't install it whenever it came available. At least not until some time went by and they had a chance to iron out all the bugs. Even had automatic updates turned off. But then I got notified about a trending post on Reddit of someone talking about the 11 update. So I checked. And what do you know, 11 was available. And like an idiot I did it. I even looked right at my wife and was like, I'm gonna regret this. And I do. Big time. I lost gesture control with Nova. My phone is stuck on speaker phone. Android Auto only works half the time. Bluetooth streaming to my car NEVER works. And only works half the time to my headphones. Apps keep freezing and crashing. Battery consumption is up. Ram utilization is down. I could keep going, but I think you guys get the idea. So I'm probably going to be flashing it very soon. Not too sure about just sitting around and waiting on an update that may or may not fix all my problems. My question is, do I flash back to MIUI on Android 10, go custom, or try and wait for the 12.5 update? Any suggestions? Redmi Note 9 Pro.

    Note 7 Pro Custom ROM

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 03:00 PM PDT

    I've been using custom ROM for about a year now and used a fair bit of different ROM's. I switched to EvolutionX and been liking it so far but it feels a bit slow. Previously I was on Corvus OS and it was so smooth. There's been a bit of lagging on EvoX so I've been thinking of switching. What ROM would you suggest.

    Here are my requirements,

    1) Must have double tap to sleep anywhere on homescreen 2) Must have GCAM/GCAM Go or no camera. I find having the snapcam annoying, no camera would be fine as I would install gcam anyways. 3) Must have gaming mode. 4) Good performance and decent battery life. Having smart charging option would be a nice to have. 5) Must have Gapps.

    Thanks in advance.

    Poco X3 Pro Not certified on Google Play Store

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 11:13 PM PDT

    Here's a screenshot for reference: https://imgur.com/gallery/tfvLXK6

    I don't know if it's any related but before, I unlocked my bootloader and tried a bunch of custom roms then decided to flash the original rom back again.

    Before I did any of that, my phone was certified.

    Is there any fix to this? Does this happen because my Bootloader is unlocked even if I'm on stock rom?

    I'm running MIUI 12.5.2.0 Global

    Security camera feature question

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:58 PM PDT

    Question regarding Xiaomi security cameras. I'll be using this to monitor my elderly in law. Ive heard of the two way audio feature and baby crying alert although what i need is a camera wherein the person being monitored can speak to it by touching a button or just by saying speaking to the camera and the person monitoring can be alerted. Is there such a camera that supports my needs?

    Wi-fi and mobile data keeps turning off

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:41 PM PDT

    Hi guys! Since yesterday my Mi9 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting from WiFi and mobile data when opening/requesting a new resource from a app. I did a factory reset and still it didn't work. A workaround I did was take out the SIM Card tray. Since I did it I didn't get a WiFi disconnection so far. I tried to search everywhere for some answer on this issue but I couldn't find any. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    Which mi-band to get?

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:15 PM PDT

    So, im looking for my first smartband, mi-band seems to be good for me but which one should i choose? 2,3,4,5,6?

    I'm looking for:
    Notifications on my smartband;
    Ability to reject calls from smartband;
    Counting steps;
    Some kind of gesture to wake it up without using my other hand (shake?, twist?);
    And of course displaying time;

    Everything else is just a bonus.

    If they were priced the same where i live i would obviously get newest one, but it isnt. Lower the number - lower price.

    Thank you for all responses, advice much needed.

    mi 11 lite scam

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 03:53 PM PDT

    so basically xiaomi is scamming it's cutomers. the mi 11 lite comes in two variants one with a diamond shaped pixels screen which is sharp and good and one with an rgb delta screen which i have right now not only it looks very blurry and cheap

    it causes headches and eye strain which can be very harmfull

    they randomly ship units with the different screen variants basically it's a lottery for customers you can get your hands on a good or bad one

    good job xiaomi now i have to throw this worthless piece in the toilet where it belongs

    Currently looking to switch to a Mi 11 Lite 5G from an old Iphone, could use some honest help.

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 01:35 PM PDT

    So I've spent a fair amount of time researching xiaomi products and the software itself and on paper everything looks very good especially for it's price tag. But after scrolling this subreddit for a while the feedback seems to be mostly bad but atleast very mixed regarding MIUI. I've never used android before but from the looks I'd like to switch to Xiaomi as an android device. I would appriciate some honest and straightforward opinion!

    Looking for a new phone that's similar to Redmi Note 10 Pro. Suggestion?

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 07:21 AM PDT

    On paper and in reviews, I like everything about the Redmi Note 10 Pro except the size. It's too much for me. Is there something else as good but has a smaller screen? Preferably the same size as the Huawei P30, or smaller.

    Random reboots and crashing on a new Redmi note 10

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:28 AM PDT

    So I've bought a new Redmi note 10 a few days back and since day 1 it's having alot of issues, frequent crashes on multiple apps such as Reddit, chrome, netflix, WhatsApp, etc, random reboots with no distinguishable pattern, camera not working sometimes saying software can't connect to the camera also toggling the video mode in camera automatically crashes the camera app on top of other things such changing the ringtone crashes the setting apps, videos not working on multiple platforms like YouTube, fb, Instagram, etc. I've tried multiple things available on the internet but unfortunately the issue still persists. I've even claimed it in the warranty they told me they sent it to their lab and have fixed it's software when i got my phone back after a week and half the issues were still exactly the same. Any help from the community would be appreciated my phone is currently running MIUI. 12.0.11 stable

    New Redmi Note 10 kept turning off while locked, then I seemingly fixed it but not sure why

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:10 PM PDT

    So I got a brand new Redmi Note 10 less than a week ago It was so far working well and suddenly it started turning off a few seconds after locking it. The only way to prevent that from happening was to play some music and leave it playing before locking the phone (the volume level didn't matter).

    This continued happening for about a day and a half. Restarting the phone several times didn't work. I didn't want to try a full factory reset since I just set it up a few days ago. Then I installed a Google Play security update (you know, I was just trying every setting I could that had a chance of having an effect), restarted the phone and the issue disappeared.

    Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any idea of what happened and why it apparently stopped? I want to know what are the chances of this repeating before the return window closes.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    "cloud trash bin?" "For free??" Sounds like i can't erase my photos until they see them

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 01:02 PM PDT

    Is there anything more Orwellian in this phone than the fact that you literally can't erase photos from your phone without them being sent to a "cloud trash bin"..

    No way to disable this option? So basically i have to switch to airplane mode to delete a dick pic that i dont like?

    I might have messed up, need some help with radio band and phone info menu

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 09:13 AM PDT

    So my phone (redmi note 10 pro max) kept losing signal every night, when i needed it the most. It nvr happened with other phones plus there is a spike of battery drain by cell standby for some reason. So i was trying to open phone info but it didn't work from keypad for some reason so installed miui hidden setting. When i open the app, i accidentally clicked on radio band mode(no idea what that is) and click on some random button. Idk what the original one is for india. In phone info i changed it to lte only but it didn't work perfectly. The volte stopped working, and the network loss become frequent. Changing to lte/wcdma got volte back but it's not working great. How do i fix it and return everything to where it was or fix the issue due to which im in this mess. Please someone help me. I live pretty near to a cell tower so im always getting full bar but now I'm getting 3-4 bars. And its weird for a phone to lose single in a full tower area for no reason whatsoever

    Battery doing worse since MIUI 12.5 (Redmi Note 10 Pro)

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:16 PM PDT

    Is the battery life worse for all of us, or is it just me? With my usage my phone lasted 2 days plus every time, now it doesn't even last 1 and a half day.
