BlInitializeLibrary failed 0xc00000bb , PC (W10) wont boot past this Posted: 29 Jul 2021 09:06 AM PDT All this started a couple days ago where I got in a loop of select keyboard language on start up and I'd select it and my only options where repair, which did nothing, cmd, and the other usual, and shutdown. No option to even reboot. I dont even seen that screen now and only see the error in the title. I've reset my motherboard, even replaced the battery A55BM-PLUS/CSM I've done a clean install of Windows 10 on my HDD, I even reformatted each partition and did another install and no luck It is a new HDD, a month old, my old one died I believe, it was 7.5 years old, I got a disc read error on boot, put in a new HDD, installed Windows no problem and it worked for a month. So everything else is 7.5 years old I've disabled safeboot (as I've read that could be an issue) I've tried a combination of CMD prompts I've come across on reddit and other sites bootrec.exe /fixbootThis command always fails for me, so I found this command bootsect /nt60 SYS it fixes that, but bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd Gives me 0 installations found, came across a post that suggested I do this (before I formatted it showed 2 and I never knew which one to select) attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s But I get path not found c:\boot Is the 0 installation because while I installed windows 10, it didnt do a complete install because it cant boot? Im at a loss, no matter what I do, I seem to get this error. I've double checked boot order, could the motherboard be going out? Is when Im using a windows USB stick to run command prompt, do I need to redirect it anywhere? Here are a list of commands I've tried in case that helps Thank You bootrec.exe bootrec.exe /fixmbr bootrec.exe /fixboot bootrec.exe /scanos bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd This video is similar but has a couple different ones likes the attrib above [link] [comments]
Looking for help to fix a backlight issue on linux Posted: 29 Jul 2021 01:10 AM PDT Hello, I have for some time an issue with the backlight of my laptop screen. The backlight is not totally dead but it's stuck to a low level. xbacklight, light and changing manually the value of /sys/class/backlight/*/brightness change the value of the backlight level but it has no effect on the actual brightness. Also when I quit the x server to return to the tty, the backlight is brighter. The laptop is an HP OMEN 15-ce047nf and it have an nvidia 1060 graphic card. I use achlinux but I have the same issue on pop os. what I already tried:
any idea on what to do? where can I find more info? or what did I have to look for on my laptop? [link] [comments]

Windows install error. Generic USB 3 driver? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 02:44 AM PDT So I've been trying to install windows 10 via usb 3, and apparently the drivers aren't offered for this. I get the super descriptive error message that A media driver is missing. What media driver I don't know, but I have presumed the usb 3 for the usb install medium. Granted I can't be entirely sure that it is the install media that's missing, I would presume so though as I do have sata disks in addition to my nvme so I would assume it wouldn't immediately halt the installation as there is at least one thing to install windows onto. I've got the drivers for my motherboard on hand, but.. there are no inf or sys files for my chipset driver(s). I've extracted all the files from the driver executable, and the inner executable called drivers.. Still no driver files. I also looked for drivers for my nvme, there weren't any. So I'm hoping to try out generic windows drivers, for both if need be.. but I am not running any windows boxes, and I can't seem to track any files down. Maybe someone has some advice for finding these drivers without having windows installed. [link] [comments]
Is there any way I can retrieve a snapchat video I sent but forgot to save? Posted: 28 Jul 2021 04:10 PM PDT I sent a video to a group chat a few hours ago but I forgot to save it and unfortunately my friends already opened without saving/ screen recording. Is there ANY way I can somehow get back the video I sent in order to store it on my phone? I'm on iPhone 11 if that matters. [link] [comments]
