| Posted: 02 Jul 2021 03:53 PM PDT I just got the One Plus 8 Pro and realised that Evie (the launcher) is no longer on the app store. I was able to side load it, but it's apparently no longer in production and so I was wondering if people had any recommendations. Or is there a major issue with continuing using it, so long as it continues to work? My favourite thing about Evie was that it was all swipe based, I use the navigation gestures and so it felt really seamless. I also liked the search on it, it seemed much better than the default google one in terms of finding apps. I tried Niagra and hated it. I've messed around with smart launcher in the past, but wasn't really a fan of that either. I also think there's a few where there's a premium version, which I'm not really interested in. I had a quick look at pear launcher as well and it crashed within the first minute of me using it! The two I'm liking the look of so far, Edit: Lawnchair also seemed to crash [link] [comments]  |

Just today morning, I matched 5 countries with their capitals, mentally multiplied 2 two-digit numbers and went right back to sleep thinking "I won't fall asleep, just lie down for a few seconds". It used to work but it had stopped working since last week & keeps on showing "Connecting" error. I've reinstalled the app several times & cleared cache several times but it still won't work. Now I've to use VPN to use it but on my friends & family phones it works smoothly. Is anyone facing the same problem? As I've read that in Pakistan it was banned due to terrorist reasons but still it was working fine since last work & still works on other people phones but their website is still banned here. I only need it to connect to my devices in lan (Pihole). There are many posts like this, but compatibility is irrelevant this time. Note: Adblocking would not be beneficial, because it's not going to be used to browse the internet. I do my regular browsing on Firefox Edit: I got the results, and Stargon wins! here's the results SmartCookieWeb - Battery Usage 32.3 mAh / Discharging Speed 422.3 mA / Storage 17.10 MB (860 KB cache) Stargon - Battery Usage 28.3 mAh / Discharging Speed 370.5 mA / Storage 16.95 MB (848 KB cache) Privacy Browser Free (by Stoutner) - Battery Usage 13.5mAh / Discharging Speed 404.4 mA / Storage 28.50 MB (586 KB) Stargon is the best for storage. Privacy Browser is the best for battery. These test are not perfect, because there is not a lot you can do inside an app on your lan, and I only tried these for 5 minutes each. Data was acquired from Accubattery and Android's native app info. Additional app, just to compare with a regular browser. Samsung Browser - Battery Usage 55.7 mAh / Discharging Speed 289.6 mA / Storage 1.12 GB (323 MB cache) / Time: less than an hour. Storage not cleaned in ages. This is the browser I considered the best for battery in 2019. Kiwi is probably the second best. I'll assume Bromite is just as good as chrome, samsung, or firefox (so, not lightweight), based on the downvotes. Via is also a bad suggestion. | Switch/force audio source system-wide or per-app in Android 11 Posted: 02 Jul 2021 05:05 AM PDT Hello, I am searching for a solution to switch audio source (microphone) from default to my desired output, per-app or system-wide. Specifically, I use iRig Stream USB device which is basically a USB DAC device (it captures external audio signal, eg. from a mixer or external microphone and replaces default audio from built-in mic in audio/video apps (e.g. camera app), so it's perfect for live dj sets, facebook, twitch, etc). While using any of audio recorder apps, audio source is sucessfully switched to USB DAC, but when using Camera apps built-in microphone is used. Only app that has built-in audio output switch is Open Camera, but it's not as good as stock camera and I also need to go live with specific apps (Facebook, Twitch, etc.) I found out that there is an app called Lesser AudioSwitch that forces audio to switch to desired output, but as stated by the author, it's not working anymore on A11. I am currently using Poco X3 NFC, Android 11. rooted. Been switching between ArrowOS, LineageOS and Xiaomi.EU roms but with no luck. On my previous LG V20 phone, the thing worked out of the box, system-wide. Are there any alternatives or workarounds for this, a standalone app, Magisk module or a script? Thanks in advance.
