    Racing game recomendations?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:18 AM PDT

Please recommend me some exciting games for Android.

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:48 AM PDT

Hello guys! Do you play games on your phones? I've recently switched from iOS to Android and still feel lost on the google play market. I've never expected that there are so many apps. Can you recommend something to play on Android? I would like to update my games on my phone and download something new, but at the moment, there are so many of them, so it's hard to choose something.

At the moment, I'm playing coin master. My friend invited me to play this game. So, he sent me an invitation on FB and insisted on me downloading this game. In the beginning, I thought that nothing is interesting in this game until I started to play. After that, I got into this game and became competitive to get on the top players among my FB friends. But, the closer I've got to the top, the more friends unfriended me on FB, including that guy who invited me there.

In the beginning, I've got annoyed that I had to wait for too long to get new spins. But later, I've found some info about coin master free spins. Then, it helped me find some ways to get more spins and continue playing non-stop. Well, not entirely non-stop, but at least I didn't have to wait for too long to get more spins. Now, I finally reached the top players, but I've lost 50 FB friends in the meantime. But, don't worry, we are still friends in real life.

BTW, I never download games by looking at the number of downloads or other statistical facts. I used to do it, but the games or other apps weren't worth the money I paid for (if we talked about paid apps). Besides, I never download apps by looking at their price. It happened to me once when I spent a lot of money on some pointless apps.

Now, I'm just looking for some new exciting games to play on my phone while I have to wait in a queue, or when I'm bored. So, I hope you can recommend me something like coin master or maybe some cool apps. I don't mind paying for them, but they need to be worth that money.

The Final Fantasy Battle Royale game is... actually really fun.

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:54 PM PDT

So, the beta for FINAL FANTASY VII THE FIRST SOLDIER just launched, and I've spent about 3 hours playing it. I was very skeptical at first, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. It's still clearly rough around the edges, but I have no doubts that the technical issues will be ironed out by release. It sets itself apart from other BR games with:

    • Spells (such as healing and thunder) as equippable items
    • A level-up system in which your spells and stats become stronger with more kills (this is huge and affects the pacing of the game significantly)
    • Several different movement mechanics, such as wall-climbing and dashing
    • A more fully fleshed out melee combat system
    • NPC mobs throughout the map
    • 4 unique classes offering significantly different abilities and playstyles
    • The ability to more or less fully choose where to drop in
    • A surprising level of polish and smoothness for a beta

The level-up mechanic is a really cool addition that completely changes how the game plays; you're rewarded for playing aggressively and stacking up kills, or at least farming mobs.

IMO, the game really needs a gyroscope function. It has "auto-shoot" which I don't generally care for, but I can see how this in combination with the spell and movement systems could be useful.

Overall, it's a really cool blend of RPG and BR that I think will push the (IMO very stale) genre forward. The beta goes for the rest of the week, I'd recommend trying it out if you can. I'm hoping this becomes popular after launch!

[REQUEST] Games (rpgs) with zombies that don't have PVP

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 01:17 PM PDT

I've always liked zombie content, be it books, movies or series and I often see ads for zombie survival games. Usually when I scroll through the reviews of any of them someone mentions that paying players can steal all the stuff you collect/attack you randomly, in some cases protection is even locked behind a paywall. That just sounds horrible, so I'd like to ditch the PVP alltogether (I'm not a competitive gamer anyway).

I don't really enjoy playing shooters on mobile, so stuff like dead trigger isn't really what I'm looking for. Same goes for hardcore survival, I don't want to come back to a dead settlement after I haven't played for a day.

I'd like to build a base, collect some loot and maybe optimise my squad to deal with the zombie hordes to get said loot. I don't mind paying for mobile games, up to 20 bucks is fine (I own a bunch of paid and very different games already). In general ads bother me more than avoidable or one-time IAPs.

I honestly doubt the game I'm looking for exists. Doesn't hurt to try though, so I appreciate all suggestions.

    ReignOfDragons.pkg Android game

I found an old apk I had saved up. From 2014. Does anyone remember this? It was my favorite and only game I played back then. I loved the dragon pictures they had there.

Please recommend me a WW1/2 or in general Civilization Building game that isn't P2W

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:43 AM PDT

I've seen that there's thousands of WW2 strategy games bust almost all are Pay To Win and even Pay to Simply Survive. Offline or Online doesn't really matter and I'm ready to pay if the game is worth it.

Btw I played Idle Civilization which was a fun God Simulator type game where you make decisions and see what parties benefit from it and rise to power. Check it out.

[Request] are there games playable both on Android and PS4?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:44 AM PDT

I played stormbound both on my Android and PC some years ago. Now that I've got a PS4 but not much time to play intense games, I was wondering if there are some cool and casual games that I can play on both Android and console in my spare time. Some people suggested Brawlhalla, do you know any other game playable on these two devices?

    "The Walking Zombie 2" - a random dude's review

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:18 AM PDT

TL;DR: It's bad, it has shitloads of ads (even after the "No Ads" IAP) but I liked the artstyle.

I heard about this somewhere and I thought what the hell, I'll try it. The gameplay looked a bit like Dead Trigger and I liked the cartoony artstyle... so I installed it.

At the point of writing this review, I'm about two thirds of the way in, I guess. There's four cities (not counting the "Open World" area) and I'm some 10 quests into the storyline of the third city. I'm going to keep playing, but I doubt the game has anything new to offer. Call it morbid curiosity.

And let's get the positives out of the way first. I really liked the artstyle and it's not as bullshit-hard as some other zombie shooters - your guns don't get obsolete as quickly as, say, Dead Trigger. You also don't get self damage from explosions, so dropping grenades on your feet is a valid tactic.

    ... and I'm done.

So, what's so bad about it? Basically everything else, so I'll make a list, in order of importance:

    • Ads out the fucking ASS. You want to get in your inventory? Ad. You accept a reward from a mission, ad. You go from the overworld to a location? Ad. And the "remove ads" IAP is bullshit. It just removes 3rd party ads, not ads about in-game items that the game spams you with, regardless.

    • The "Open World" isn't an open world at all. You have a "city" there, which has four very self-explanatory buildings. The rest of it is just a node with randomly-generated locations that you can use to farm for "Gas Remnants" that you can use to make consumable gas. I guess it's useful when you ran out of gas and ads to get more gas from.

    • Zombies just flop around when walking.

    • You can disable autofire, but there's no different control scheme for mounted guns. At first that doesn't seem like such a big problem, until you realize that your control scheme for ground combat doesn't really work for mounted guns. Take for example Dead Trigger's mounted weapon segments, where you can use the entire screen area to aim so that way it's easier to have one HUD setup for either scenario.

    • The sniper mounted weapon isn't hitscan. This might seem like a nitpick since there's not many sniper missions in the main quest... but it is in Ace's - repeatable - quests! Which are your main way of grinding for money and XP. And it drove me up the fucking wall.

    • You don't get XP or money from enemies you kill, unless you get a perk. Now, yes, you do get consumables and "Scrap" you can sell, but going against the paradigm set by numerous games is simply annoying. There's absolutely no reason to shoot zombies - in a zombie shooter - unless they're directly in your way or the game tells you to.

    • Human enemies are way too fucking tanky. They add nothing to the gameplay loop, other than being another variety of ranged zombies. They all take the shortest route towards you, with the ranged flavors occasionally shooting at you. Humans with melee weapons are basically faster zombies. Riflemen are zombies but ranged, occasionally firing one slow-moving projectile. Chiefs simply fire several slow-moving projectiles. "Little people" (yes, that's their in-game name) fire a fast moving grenade while advancing - seriously, those are a genuine threat since their projectile flies faster than the fucking bullets and they're significantly smaller than other humans. The last variety (that I've met, anyway) just fires several projectiles in a vertical spread and hides behind a shield.

    • Several enemies that can "Stun" you ("Stun" in this game means your movement speed is slower for a few seconds) are faster and deal more damage than normal zombies. There are Zombie Dogs, Zombie Quarterbacks (that's what I assume "QB" means anyway) and Zombie Bats. Making an annoying, hard-to-hit flying enemy (you can't shoot the wings) and actual threat is just bad design.

    • Bosses are just boring. It all boils down to three simple steps: shoot it, avoid its attacks, ignore zombies unless they're an active threat. For fuck's sake, they managed to make a giant mutant plant, a giant sand worm and a cyborg supersoldier boring! Also spoilers I guess.

Now on to shit that I personally find annoying:

    • It's suffers from "HEY! KNOW THESE FRANCHISES? AREN'T THEY FUN?!" -itis. Let me explain. The consumable that increases your radiation resistance is called Rad-X. There's a courier from Death Stranding you can meet as a random encounter. There's a Morpheus (from Matrix) type that does a lot of 4th wall breaking and offers you the choice of red or blue pill, which you meet as a random encounter. There's a viking who jumps off a tower, misses a pile of hay and then you follow him down, landing on said pile of hay (again, random encounter). The boss introductions are very similar to those in Borderlands. There's a random encounter where you find a password-locked box, with a note giving you the numerical password in Clingon numbers.

    • Cars just push enemies out of the way. Yes, I know, a little nit-picky but also immensely annoying for me to remember it, because until now I've encountered only two vehicle missions.

    • You know what was missing from all those zombie shooters? Not innovative gameplay, not some great story - no, it was a really bad, really on-the-nose Trump carricature. Sure, devs, the same joke that's been told a million times is going to be funny if you tell it a million and one times! The Mayor in Springfield is just so annoying and out of place.

    • The devs don't seem to know exactly how internal combustion engines work. A vehicle that has higher top speed... means you consume less fuel when going between locations. You don't need to be a master engineer to know that the faster an engine revs, the more fuel it burns... and that high RPM means that the engine will burn more fuel...

    • The devs also don't quite seem to know how machineguns work. See I've got no reason to believe that other mounted machineguns are any different than the one found in the "Help the Army" repeatable mission. And when I see a spider sight on a dual machinegun, that's a dead ringer for an anti-aircraft thing... which means a lot of firerate - and that thing is barely faster than an unupgraded Remington 870. Not to mention that the shield that machinegun has doesn't do anything other than get in the way and the spider sight is nearly useless.

Games that are playable on an old device?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 01:08 AM PDT

TL;DR 1gb ram / low storage cost games

Preference: Any OFFLINE games would be great (best if RPG/roguelike) still ok if it's online as long as it's not like COC or collecting games (card games). I wouldn't mind paid games as well.

Hey , wondering if you guys know any great games that could be play from an old device (Samsung J2 prime) where the ram is 1 gb and would prefer a light MB game so I could save some storage space because it's almost full from built in apps (6gb/8gb have SD but you know apps/games). Just found a relic and she's still functioning slightly good (broken cam and faulty home button) and would want to use it again for backup (charging , etc my other phone) and would like to at least have
