| Posted: 01 May 2021 02:28 PM PDT Phone is a Note 9, Bell. If I tilt my phone a little to the left, sound comes out of only one of the bottom speakers. Tilting right does the same but to the opposite speaker. Tilting back switches to the top speaker. I tried cleaning the speakers thinking there was dust moving around but that didn't change anything. | Posted: 01 May 2021 01:22 PM PDT Hi, I am experiencing a bootloop and unable to boot into safe mode. I opened Instagram, it froze shortly after phone restarted and is stuck in samsung galaxy xxx. If I hold power and volume down it restarts and when i change to volume up as I feel the vibration it still doesnt go to safe mode. If I hold power button nothing happens. If I hold power and volume down, plug it in, it wont turn on but the charging symbol will show but with no battery percentage. Any help will be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 01 May 2021 10:15 PM PDT I have a Type C to Usb 3.0/HDMI/Type C port (here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMC3DTL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_GXY7D0JREHJCYGBA1NTK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) from there the HDMI is connected to a 7 inch touch display and the power/touch data goes to the hub's usb while a charger Type C cable connects to the hub's Type C. Somehow in this interaction Location Data is stopped from reaching Maps on my phone, which leaves Maps stuck with no gps usage. I am making this setup as an infotainment system for my car. I definitely need a functional GPS. My phone is an LG V40 with Android 10 and software version V405ua30e. [link] [comments]  |

| Keep running out of storage space despite uninstalling apps Posted: 01 May 2021 12:15 PM PDT I'm currently using a 64GB Samsung S8 from Verizon, not rooted. For whatever reason I keep running out of storage space on my phone. The first time I got the notification I thought nothing of it and uninstalled a few apps I no longer use, freeing up several GB of storage. After that I keep getting the notification despite not installing anything new. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is but whatever app I use doesn't do anything other than suggest I delete some old photos or downloaded files, neither of which takes up more than ~4GB on my phone. Built in storage analysis doesn't do anything either since the categories shown don't add up to the space that's being used. I've tried using an app called DiskUsage but I get a null pointer exception, which I can't figure out the cause of. I've tried just about everything short of factory reseting my phone. Any ideas on what might be causing this? EDIT: Figured out the cause. I had to remove my SD card because it wasn't working (still haven't figured out the reason for this) which resolved the null pointer issue for DiskUsage. Using the app I noticed something called VisionProvider was taking up 20GB of space. Apparently it's a part of Bixby Vision (which I have never used and leave disabled). Was in an all iMessage group chat before I switched to android a few months ago and now I'm not able to get any of their messages. I thought perhaps when I switched and one guy sent a message, it would form a thread again, then when I reply, I'm a green bubble on their end amidst blue. Nope. Won't even come to my phone. | Posted: 01 May 2021 09:00 PM PDT I found a SM-T567V (Samsung tablet) in a trash bin and thought that was ridiculous and grabbed it out. I did the "home button and volume button" reset thing, so it's factory reset and everything is cleared as far as I can tell, but when I try to get into it (there's no password anymore) it asks me to "sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device" before I can get in. Any suggestions? The screen is fine and all that stuff, so it seems like a crime not to try to see what's up and at least try to use it, even to give a friend or something. Thanks for any help. . . I saw that the number of messages saved in each thread on my new phone is much less than my old one. I can only go back a few days' worth of texts now. Back in the days of yore, the number of messages that a thread would save was changeable, often defaulting to 200. I would like to set mine higher than whatever it is now. | Connection goes slow until I free the cache Posted: 01 May 2021 01:27 PM PDT Hi y'all, I have an Xiaomi Redmi 7A. Since 2-3 months, I noticed that my wifi connection goes really slow sometimes when I use it. The first time I thought it was my Wifi, but it happened often, so I changed my mind. When it happened, I tried to use my computer in the meantime and the Wifi was perfect. I tried to do the same with other phones, same result, connection was so good that I am convinced that it was not a router problem, as mostly say on internet. Desperatly, when it happened, I tried to exit and enter in the app that I was using. After a while I noticed that, just after got out and freed the cache, magically the connection was established. So, I think it is some app that mess in background. I tried to use ADB uninstalling com.mi.securitycenter, since I think it's the main problem, it eats my RAM and it's always running, but if uninstall it, causes bootloop to my phone. Now I dont know what to do, I tried to change DNS too, use 4G, wipe data, reset, change wifi. Any help? [link] [comments]  |
| Music files stutter at specific parts of songs Posted: 01 May 2021 06:31 PM PDT I have a samsung a50 that was recently updated to Android 11 and when i listen to music from 2 specific albums, they stutter at specific parts of each song on the 2 albums. They are the most recent albums ive downloaded and this wasn' t happening before i installed Android 11 on my Samsung A50. I did everything, i cleared google play, samsung music and bluetooth cache, unoptimized these apps, reset my phone, remove and pair my headphones again, uninstalled and redownloaded the music files and downloaded different files of the music but still in .m4a. I'm using Samsung Music as my music player and i looked around in the sound settings and even went inside my Headphones application and prioritized connection over quality. I tried to listen to the .m4a files of the music on Youtube Music and it has the same problem at the exact same parts of the songs but when i listen to them on my pc its fine. | Tab S5e SM-T720 Knox cloud locked Posted: 01 May 2021 06:00 PM PDT Anyone has information on how I can unlock this tablet? It is a Retail Demo tablet of display In the past I have installed TWRP and deleted Knox on older versions like S3. On this version I get the OEM unlock and USB debugging enabled but as soon as I try to flash Magisk Patched AP file Bootloader does not like it. Magisk refers to recovery file, is AP file the same? In order to get TWRP installed it requires root. Is there any other way of rooting that device than Magisk? The bootloader is OEM locked even though it is unlocked in Android. Seems like Knox is stopping me from flashing. I am just confused and don't know how to get rid of it. As soon as I setup the tablet Knox removes Google App store from the tablet. Check my comment below if you have a similar problem. Even stuff like spotify that does not really use that much resources but other things like chrome still work. Pretty much all my games are affected tho. Might be that webview crap again tho dont see enough complaints so its probably not widespread. I started having the occasional crash here and there a few days ago and that does line up with the last webview update but could still run games for most of the day, today everything went to hell properly. Saw a couple new 1* reviews on webview after the update tho it might just be people blaming it because of the previous problems. Tried rolling back webview, deleting data, updating again, disabling chrome but nothing worked related to that. Messed around with the battery settings and disabled all optimization for the games but that wasn't it either. Pretty much out of options now. [link] [comments]  |

Happened couple of weeks ago (3 times in a row, I was in a store and thought it was a store intercom), then didn't happen at all, and now for the past few days at some point almost each day. Haven't downloaded any new apps. NFC is not enabled. Phone not near any credit or ID cards. Accessibility reminders is not enabled. Have gone down entire list of apps and turned off anything unfamiliar. Have restarted phone. Does not happen at same time on any day and not in relation to any activity like a phone call or charging. | Any way to reset/clear the media panel/controls? Posted: 01 May 2021 01:32 PM PDT Just wondering if there is a way to reset or clear the controls that show up on the media panel in notifications. I've just noticed that when the Plex android app disconnected from my Chromecast when playback was active the media panel detects the session as active but you can't actually use or remove it. Opening the media settings just fails and the remove button just doesnt work at all so currently whenever I play media I have 1 active session while the other 2 tabs as just bugged out. | Posted: 01 May 2021 05:08 PM PDT I've been on a cod mobile rampage recently and I decided to try to download the beta for the app so I went on there subreddit r/callofdutymobile and download the apk for the beta but I got paranoid about halfway through the download and cancelled it I've since factory reset my phone through the recovery menu and I never launched the apk or even finished the download I'm running android 7 and have a unrooted phone is there anyway I could be infected and is there anyway that apk could still be on my device? | Difference between sdcard folder size backed up from Android and Android storage menu Posted: 01 May 2021 04:10 PM PDT I am trying to backup my android phone and am a bit paranoid about losing any photos of my toddler's first year. I used adb pull sdcard and this created a folder of 8.4G However if I go to my Motorola G5s Plus's storage menu it will say that the internal storage is almost full (~32GB) divided into roughly 10GB for System Files, 9GB for Photos and 13GB for Apps.
