    Music Player App

    Posted: 04 May 2021 12:21 AM PDT

I made a music player app. The app supports mostly all basic features that other popular music player apps like Spotify support. You can

    • Listen to songs online (quality up to 320kbps) as well as offline.
    • Download music in best quality (320 kbps)
    • Shuffle songs, Create playlists, etc.
    • No subscription
    • and most important thing, "No Ads"

You can check the project here: https://github.com/Sangwan5688/BlackHole

    Feedbacks appreciated :)

[DEV] Memorigi - the non-boring todo list, task manager, planner, calendar, and reminder app (now available on Web) - Premium codes

    Posted: 04 May 2021 08:21 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to share the new version 5.0 of Memorigi. I recently launched its Web version and iOS is in the works. Unlike many to-do list apps out there, Memorigi focus on the user experience making working on your projects a breeze. It's a non-boring, simple, beautiful, and fully featured tool. Here is what you can find in M5:

    • Groups to bundle together projects and tasks based on different responsibilities.
    • Lists are your primary way of organizing tasks and to-dos.
    • Headings to break down large projects into smaller parts.
    • Tasks to organize your life. You can create tasks for your work, chores, vacations, and anything that needs to be done.
    • Subtasks to break down even further any complex task.
    • Tags to improve organization and to simplify finding projects and tasks.
    • Do Dates are more flexible than traditional due dates. Simply put, a do date is the day you intend to "do" the task, not the date it has to be completed by.
    • Deadlines to make yourself accountable when working on your projects and tasks.
    • Recurring tasks for actions happening on a fixed period of time or after the task gets completed.
    • Reminders for those tasks you under any circumstance cannot miss!
    • Calendar like view to see tasks and projects due in the next days and further. You can integrate your Google Calendar to see events as well.
    • Board view (aka Kanban) to get an overview of your projects. You can also drag and drop tasks and headings across different boards.
    • Icons & colors for a richer personalized organization of your projects and to-dos.
    • Nag me feature to help you reduce procrastination.
    • Attachments, pinned tasks, sorting & grouping, and much more.

    Premium memberships

To celebrate the 5.0 release of Memorigi, I'm giving away 50 Premium memberships valid for 1 year. To participate and make distribution of memberships fair, please make a top comment here asking something Memorigi-Android related that you think the answer could benefit other devs. For instance, you could ask about its architecture, design, tech stack, how it got 500000+ downloads, and so. Just please don't ask about sensitive information. I'll handpick the most interesting comments and send the membership via DM.

Please feel free to share any feedback!

    Bests!

Microsoft To Do vs TickTick vs Google Task vs Trello vs Todoist vs Notion vs etc.

    Posted: 04 May 2021 05:56 AM PDT

    Hi all.

I'm trying out these to-do apps to increase my productivity, as well as hearing opinions from you. Am just wondering why people would be willing to pay monthly/ yearly subscription for apps like Ticktick, Todoist, etc. for the features that are free on Microsoft To Do & Google Task.

    Is there something I'm missing?

Which one is your favourite to-do apps?

SafeDot is now customisable and protects your LOCATION privacy

    Posted: 04 May 2021 10:31 AM PDT

I've recently built an app that mimics the iOS 14's privacy feature which alerts the user when third-party app uses your device camera or microphone.

You can check it out here :SafeDot : Privacy Indicators on Google Play

The major upgrades made after hearing to your feedbacks :

    - Location Dot

In the latest update v3.0.1, Safedot can now detect and report you if an 3rd party app or service uses your GPS (Location) with or without your notice.

    - Customisations

A lot of you guys told me that SafeDot lacked customisations (Which an android user will definitely expect) not anymore. I've made a completely separate screen for all kinds of customisations you could do.

Look how it is before trying out :

SneekPeak : Customisation Center in Safedot [IMAGE]

Lastly, you might have a question

why SAFEDOT (when I already have AccessDots and more others) ?

Well, the primary goal of a PRIVACY INDICATOR app is privacy. These other apps which are on the Google play has trackers, adverts and internet connectivity to the app.

Connection to the Internet isn't good privacy practice in my opinion. And these privacy indicator apps ask for the Accessibility permission which can get a lot of information (upto reading what's on screen to your realtime app activity). So, you cannot trust these apps with INTERNET permission.

And that's why SafeDot doesn't have permission to connect to internet which ensures that your data never leaves your device.

Feel free to suggest features that might make the app more useful and report if any issues occur to you.

    Bluecoins Finance Budgeting app

    Posted: 04 May 2021 09:24 AM PDT

    Hi peeps.

Could anyone who uses this app guide me how to create financial goals in the app?

Example: Wallet App - BudgetBakers. There is a feature in Wallet where I can set goals, say, purchasing a new vehicle with desired target date, then it will compute how much I need to save per month.

Not sure if such feature exists in the app. If not, I will submit a feature request, in hope they will introduce it.

    Old 3rd party Wikipedia app

    Posted: 04 May 2021 09:21 AM PDT

A long time ago I could swear I downloaded a 3rd party Wikipedia app that I am now looking for again.

It was fairly simple, it just showed Wikipedia articles and cached them for offline use, but what I liked about it was it would also pre-download and cache the first X articles on a given page. This meant it was fast to use as well as good for Offline usage.

I can't seem to find it anymore and was wondering if anyone also remembers it, if there is a newer version available I don't know about, or if there is another app completely that would do what this app used to do.

Looking for an app that can remap touches

    Posted: 04 May 2021 08:29 AM PDT

Can someone recommend an app that will "remap" touches to the screen? My phone's screen is pretty large, so when holding it in my left hand, I can't reach the very bottom right corner of the screen, where the send voice note button is.

Ideally, I would like an app that'll let me define an area on the screen where I can tap and hold on it, and it will translate that touch to a defined spot on the screen (the voice note button, for example).

    Posted: 04 May 2021 12:53 AM PDT

You might already know who I'm talking about, this guy:

    https://imgur.com/a/yJ3wDGL

Balding, moustache, red bowtie, blue overalls with a white shirt underneath, brown boots. He looks like a butler.

Sick of seeing him in adverts, it's not always the same art style either which makes me think he's not just an asset flip.

    Looking for an app

Hey, I'm looking for an antivirus app for my android.

The scanning part is all I require, especially when downloading files from the internet to ensure it's safe.

Paid/3rd party is fine, as long as it's safe and does the job.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Looking for Office Suite App for Android

    Posted: 04 May 2021 05:48 AM PDT

Presently i'm using Microsoft Office suite for android but they don't allow most of the document(not created using Microsoft office) as read-only, that's sound sort of mischievious, so if u've any password protected doc then you cannot open it in write mode (-_-).

[WPS office is there nd it's good but i want Privacy focused app. Their privacy policy sounds phishy.]

I'm looking for Office suite with following features:- 1) Should be OpenSource (this due to Privacy reasons) 2) Password protected document (with read/write permission) for documents (.docx mainly) 3) Should be able to export data for backup purposes, mainly to local device, major cloud platforms. Even if in future they discontinue maintaining app, we should be able to move our data to somewhere else. 4) Should support files created with latest versions of Microsoft office. (2007 or later).

    Thanks.
