Posted: 03 May 2021 11:34 AM PDT Netflix has a little button she likes to push that I can't get rid of. It happens a lot when I'm playing a game lol. Please help. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2021 04:23 PM PDT Luckily most of her pictures and videos are on the sim card, but the Razr doesn't have a sim card slot. Normally I would use an app to transfer but since the screen is broken I can't. The screen still turns on but it doesn't respond and its not worth fixing. I did put the micro sd into my computer and I can see all the pictures and videos, then I plug in the Razr to my computer. It shows the phone in devices but when I try to drag over any pictures or videos it won't let me. I get the error "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. Usually when I plug a Samsung phone it asks for permission for my computer to access its files but the Razr isn't doing it. [link] [comments] |
Shortcuts added to homescreen deleted after every update Posted: 03 May 2021 09:38 PM PDT I have a Pixel 4a. I have added some Chrome shortcuts and Drive file/folder shortcuts to my homescreen. Unfortunately, every month these shortcuts get removed after the new Android update is installed. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2021 09:37 PM PDT A month ago I didn't want a password as my lockscreen anymore so I went to lockscreen settings, entered my password then put none as in no lockscreen anymore. Recently I wanted to put a pattern as my lockscreen but they keep asking me for a password in lockscreen settings (My old password is not working) what password are they referring to and what should I do? My mom's Lenovo tablet is suddenly asking for a Pin although she never set one. Posted: 03 May 2021 04:15 AM PDT Hi! My mom uses a Lenovo TAB2 A10-30 for several years now. She never set a pin yet a few days ago the device suddenly asked her to imput one to unlock it. No idea if there is a right one, nothing we have tried worked. I'm hoping to at least get access to her files somehow. USB debugging is not activated. We know the credentials of the Google account that is linked to the device. We find it on "Find my Device" but can't reset the PIN from there like some solutions online suggest. When we continue to input wrong PINs the tablet tells us to wait for x seconds but there is no "Forgot your password?" option. Is there a way for us to reset the pin without wiping the data? Random text convos not transferred to new phone Posted: 03 May 2021 07:41 PM PDT I had a Galaxy S8+ which I recently replaced with an S20. I used SmartSwitch to move everything over, and it worked for the most part, but I realized that one of my text conversations didn't get moved over. Is there any way to move just that conversation onto my new phone? I've had the new one for a few days and don't want to lose the messages that I've received since. The S8+ is running Android 9, and the S20 is running Android 11. The text conversations is about 10 thousand texts, and I'm using Textra (not sure if any of that matters). Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Game tools not available for Samsung A21? Posted: 03 May 2021 06:49 PM PDT Hi. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A21 I bought from T Mobile. When I finished setting it up, I immediatelynoticed that game tools (newer versions use game booster) wasn't available. Is this not available for Samsung A20 line of phones? APK files didn't work at all. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2021 06:39 PM PDT So I'm using the Samsung browser and it used to have an icon in the address bar that I could tap if say for example i went to Reddit I could tap the icon to open my Reddit app but it's now gone and I'm not sure why, it's there in the beta version. did they push an update to get rid of it? Posted: 03 May 2021 11:53 AM PDT S9+ on TMobile. When searching in my browser (search engine can be google, bing, doesn't matter) as soon as I hit search, another tab opens with the search results. If I hit anything in the 2nd tab, a third tab opens. At one point today 8 tabs had opened for the same search results. I've switched browsers between different Firefox forks, I have run SD Maid, MalwareBytes, and Kaspersky. I've also uninstalled my browsers and as soon as I reinstall and open, they are doing the same error again. Any ideas on how to make this stop?? [link] [comments] |
[Google Maps] Can't find "Set reminder to leave" option any more. Posted: 03 May 2021 05:48 PM PDT On earlier versions of Google Maps it was possible to set reminders so that you'd get a push notification for when to leave. This was implemented in earlier versions but it seems to have been removed or the option might be buried in some other menu. Does anyone know where it has moved to? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
My galaxy a51 keeps crashing even after the webview update Posted: 03 May 2021 05:05 PM PDT Android webview was pointed as the cause, many people got their issue solved right there. But that's not my case. The issue seems to be similar: after a software update (april, 28), every app that isn't native just crashes. Already uninstalled and re-installed webview and google chrome, tried other versions of webview (such as canary and developer) but nothing seems to solve the problem. My phone got 30% free space and is only a year old. Is anybody here having the same issue? My phone's model is galaxy A51 (SM-A515F/T), running android 11. I'm already feeling really disrespected, if the only solution is factory reset, then I'll never buy another samsung/android again. [link] [comments] |
My S21 AOD is draining my battery. Posted: 03 May 2021 04:23 PM PDT I had an S20 before and now an S21, on my s20 I had AOD on all the time and brightness set in the middle and AOD never touched my battery. On my s21 I have the exact same settings and ok average AOD is using 15-20% of my battery throughout the day. I have no clue what to do. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2021 04:04 PM PDT I'm using a galaxy s10 plus and for some reason on phone calls the mic barely functions, I've tested calling my wife's phone and can barely make out what is being said however the mic seems to function fine when it's on speakerphone? Any ideas what the issue might be? I've tried disabling bixby but it's not made a difference. [link] [comments] |
Blueteeth Controller How Work? Posted: 03 May 2021 02:29 PM PDT Recently I said goodbye to my 3 year old phone for a RedMagic 6 experiencing for the first time the probably-improvement-overall-but-still-frustrating android 11. Long story short, bluetooth controller no work. I'm wondering if it's a settings problem, a hardware problem, or a connection problem. I'm attempting to use an off brand bluetooth/usb-c controller that identifies as an xbox controller when plugged in and a switch pro controller when not. It works on my old phone via bluetooth but on my pc usb-c only. When I connect it to my new phone, it happily connects, one of the dots light up, and then nothing. It's not recognized by gamepad-tester.com, nor any tester app, nor any game app. I realize this seems to be a heavily documented problem, however RedMagic 6 seems to have an interesting menu system that doesn't quite look like what most people are describing. I've tried turning on and off various accessibility settings, changing various developer settings whether they make sense or not (usb and wireless debug, bluetooth AVRCP and MAP etc) to no avail. Currently I'm not sure what to do. The controller worked with my older phone via bluetooth so I could try to keep fiddling with settings thou i'm running out of things to try. On the other hand the controller doesn't work via bluetooth on pc so perhaps I can try a different controller. On the first foot, I tried using a usb-c to usb-c cable and it doesn't work on either phone, so I'm wondering whether getting a usb-c to female usb-a otg adaptor + usb-a to usb-c cable might work. Galaxy s9 battery goes to freefall after 15% Posted: 03 May 2021 02:08 PM PDT I've had this S9 for like 3 years now, and it's still pretty great but the battery has been woeful lately. I tried installing the Pixel Experience ROM recently and it did improve the general battery life, still not great but noticeably better, but the main problem still remains. Whenever the battery gets to around 15%, it starts draining insanely fast and it will shut off completely in a few minutes of usage sometime. It can go from 10% left to shutting down in 10 minutes sometimes or less, whereas otherwise draining any other 10% of the whole battery (above the literal 10% remaining), takes like half an hour+ of mixed-use. Has anyone had this issue or knows why it's happening? It's not the One UI issue as the phone is now using Pixel Experience and it's still the same. [link] [comments] |
My phone keeps turning off the wifi setting Posted: 03 May 2021 02:02 PM PDT I have an lg fortune 2 and have had it for about 5 months. Out of the blue, my phone has been flat out not letting me use wifi. Not disconnecting, not turning on for a few minutes then turning off, flat out instantly turns off the entire setting once i try to turn on the setting. My phone will not, under whatever circumstances, let me turn on the wifi setting on my phone for more than a few hundred miliseconds. 600 at the most. Ive tried restarting, researching, and i even factory reset the thing, and it still wont let me turn on the wifi setting. Could anyone help me with this issue? [link] [comments] |
Changing phone display. How to check if a new display is LED(OLED) or LCD? Posted: 03 May 2021 01:52 PM PDT Firstly apologies if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this question. If I can ask this question in another subreddit, kindly let me know which subreddit that is. Coming to the topic, I recently damaged my phone display and need a replacement. My phone had an AMOLED display (OnePlus 5T), and I've been searching for a replacement at various outlets. So naturally LED displays are much more expensive than LCD displays, and before I get my screen replaced I would like to verify that the display is actually LED itself, and not a LCD display being sold for the price of a LED. So is there any way to actually look at the display itself and figure out if it's LED or LCD before putting it on my phone? Any red flags which will help me figure it out? Appreciate the help. Google Voice Typing not giving suggestions anymore. Posted: 03 May 2021 01:28 PM PDT Having issues with Google's Voice to Text on my Pixel 4a 5g. It seems I have somehow defaulted to an older version where suggestions are no longer there. The first image is what I see now (the darker voice 'keyboard'. The second is what I see if I uninstall all of the updates on main Google app in the Google Play Store, a 'fix' I found on the interwebs. For two reasons, I don't like this 'fix'. First, it just auto-updates every night, which I prefer to do for all my installed apps, giving me the voice 'keyboard' that I do not want. Second, I'd much like to have the latest Google app, not the default that came with my phone, with all the latest updates and features. This may or may not be relevant, but my default typing keyboard is Microsoft Swiftkey which I like for mostly the legacy of it knowing my typing style and history. That might make a difference. Thanks in advance for your help! [link] [comments] |
Can android phone users delete the Facebook app? Posted: 03 May 2021 01:12 PM PDT I have Mint moble (if that's relevant) and currently have an iPhone SE from 2016. It's finally on its last legs (won't charge consistently anymore) and I'm looking to get a new phone. My question is, a year or two ago there were a bunch of posts about how some android phones wouldn't let users delete a pre-installed Facebook app. Is this still the case? I can't find anything recent on this issue. I'm on the fence on upgrading to the 2020 iPhone SE, or switching to an Android phone, and not being able to delete apps I have no interest in would be a "con" for me on my pro/con list. Posted: 03 May 2021 01:10 PM PDT another 35 contacts are probably from Labels. I store them as I once used them but now I don't need them on my device. When I open Google Phone app I wanna see just 15 contacts. [link] [comments] |
Is the Helio G80 chip actually that bad/good? Posted: 03 May 2021 01:10 PM PDT Cause i found a phone that i like (A32 4G), and i tried to research the chipset and all awnsers go from "This chip is bad and cant sustain itself" to "This is the best and most capable chipset in the market for this range!" For a more tame example, going on nanoreview.net the chip seems to be preety underwhelming, but when you go to search that chip on Versus.com the chip seems to get a higher score than even the Snapdragon 720G, which is avalable on the more expensive A52 and A72. And as you can see, this doesnt add up. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app or macro to split screens to show a book and my note taking app Posted: 03 May 2021 12:48 PM PDT Maybe there's an easier way, but looking to use a pdf reader to read books and any note taking app(onenote). It's annoying to open both and hit pin, especially if I'm only going to read for a few minutes. Bonus points for them showing up upon unlock. I have my pdf app opening upon unlock using macrodroid. Why cant I use Google assistant on my Samsung when screen is off but I can on my Motorola? Posted: 03 May 2021 06:44 AM PDT If I say "Hey Google" when both phones are locked and screen off, only my Motorola responds? Why is this? I went into the Google app on my Motorola and it says "Access your Assistant any time that you say "Hey Google", even if your screen is off." But on my Samsung it says "Access your Assistant any time that you say "Hey Google" when your screen is on." What gives? [link] [comments] |
