| Tip : Don't ever use digital zoom (8 , 8T and Nord) Posted: 27 Apr 2021 05:05 AM PDT I don't know if this has been said before , but I found that there's a significant quality difference between taking a digitally zoomed in photo and switching to full resolution more (48mp) and then cropping in. Specially when the shots are taken outdoors under good lighting. 48mp cropped in always looks sharper and less noisy than just taking a snap while zoomed in. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 27 Apr 2021 05:28 PM PDT Before the update the only time I could notice a purple tint was around 50% brightness, no big deal I just use 40% or 60% instead, but now that the quick settings/notifications tab is that weird light grey, I notice it DAILY. Around 30% there's a very noticeable green tint covering all of the grey, around 10% it turns blueish purple, now don't get me wrong purple is my favorite color, but I don't want a purple dark mode ffs just give me the AMOLED black back! Another issue that will probably get its own post at some point is the smearing in the settings app, the light grey boxes of all the settings smear like crazy and give me a headache trying to sort through them, it looks similar to using a phone at 30-45hz (which is my old phone), with the old pure AMOLED black settings, that NEVER happened to the white text on its own, it's like they only tested the design on phones with an LCD panel like the low end Nords or something. | OP7 Pro - Lock Screen Font Zoomed In Posted: 27 Apr 2021 03:41 PM PDT I haven't had any issues with the Android 11 update besides when I lock the screen and unlock everything seems to be zoomed in to the max and the only way to fix it is to restart the phone. Is there a fix on this? I've tried wiping the cache and it stopped for one day then came back again. Should I have to do a factory reset and restore all my stuff again? | OnePlus 6 to OnePlus 9: worth it? Posted: 27 Apr 2021 02:05 PM PDT I noticed T-Mobile is having a deal with up to 50% of a OnePlus 9 5G with trade in. Currently have a OnePlus 6 and thinking about it, since it seems like a good deal. Curious if anyone else here has taken the plunge. Things I'm curious about would be t-mobile bloatware? I bought all previously OnePlus devices (OnePlus 1, 3, & 6) all unlocked directly. Used to do rooting and roms but not anymore. Have to keep device more stable and operation for work. Does it still come with a case? OnePlus 6 came with clear case which has been by far my favorite case I've had since it doesn't add a lot of bulk and still has raised corners to try and protect the screen more. Read and saw some reviews people said the alert slider was lose, have you had that issue? Have to say after 3 years the one on my OnePlus 6 is still rock solid and I use it all the time. | Change Conversation Name Bubbles in Drop Down Posted: 27 Apr 2021 01:44 PM PDT So I updated my OnePlus 7 to the Android 11 update today and would anyone happen to know how to reduce the size of the circles next to the chats under the Conversation tab in the drop down? https://imgur.com/gallery/iUgTOGF They used to be smaller and more of the message used to show, I have all the display scaling and fonts to small but it didn't seem to make a difference. I finally figured out how to take a screenshot again (power + volume down seems like a step backwards over just holding the power button) so I'm just trying to get back to where I was before I updated to this version. Its the least of my worries, I kinda like it after a while altough I dont think I will ever like the new status bar which looks like they applied "B" (the fat effect) from Microsoft word to all of the icons. To the point, does anyone experience constant freezes with apps? like you open the app, it doesnt respond for like 5 sec, you press back button, home, nothing. The phone is incredibly clunky and laggy. Any workarounds? Dont tell me a 1 year old phone with such a powerful CPU takes such a hit after one major update. [link] [comments]  | ||

| OnePlus One on LineageOS 18.1 stuck at lock screen Posted: 27 Apr 2021 07:46 PM PDT Greetings fellow Ones, Today I finally got around to upgrading my OnePlus One with LineageOS 18.1 with lineage-18.1-20210422-nightly-bacon-signed and MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm-20210412_124103, installing via TWRP, and I can't go past my lock screen. Because I have my phone set up with a pattern lock, after I complete the correct pattern, the screen goes black, then the time displays again, and finally I'm back at the lock screen. After the recent firmware update, im unable to load half the bulk of my photos (total 136gb). previously though slow, but still able to slowly browse them out. | Burning battery after new update. Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:36 AM PDT Heyo. I recently upgraded to Android 11 on my OnePlus 7, it has been rather.. uneventful. I am slowly getting used to it but it doesn't get any easier. My battery optimized itself around yesterday and it is more or less the same battery life I had on 10 (for the 2 days it was rather dying quick) I use my phone for online-classes, login and leave it aside, then finish exit near 1, the time is like 9-1, always start on 100% full battery + WiFi and Location Services On, no other app is up and running this time. My phone doesn't heat up at all, it just stays normal and if there's any heat, its very low and negligible. Phone's been following the same routine since September last year, no issues at all, no overheating. However this morning, once my classes came to an end, I picked up my phone, it was a literal burning brick, I could only describe the temperature as something close when I accidentally kept my hand on a test bench I had running There anyway to fix this or idk, optimize the battery again ? this is a bit concerning because like I said, I've never seen the phone get heated up so much [link] [comments]  | ||

| 1+8 Pro going to 60hz in games Posted: 27 Apr 2021 07:48 AM PDT Hey all, I've noticed that since recently whenever I don't touch my screen for a couple of seconds the screen reverts back to 60hz mode instead of 120hz. Once I touch the screen it will instantly go to 120hz again. As long as I tap my screen it will stay at 120hz, but after 3-4 seconds of not touching it just goes back to 60hz, and boy does that look awful. Did I miss something in an update where this behaviour was introduced or is it a problem with my device? In the developer settings I wasn't able to find a setting to force 120hz, only to display the hz in the top left, and it clearly shows it going back and forth between 60-120 depending on how long I haven't touched the screen. Anybody else having this issue? Any fixes? Is there a way to roll back an update?
