Curious what others who watch Oneplus releases would know about what is likely to happen. Will the already discounted (At $400) 7T be removed from their site fairly quickly and no longer be sold new by Oneplus? Will it drop in price further or be sold new at a deeper discount through third parties? Or is waiting for the 9 series to be released going to ensure I'll need to buy used/refurbished? What I mean is if I get a text while the screen is locked it briefly shows up on the lock screen, then disappears and the only thing that shows is the text messaging icon under the ancient clock. | Posted: 03 Mar 2021 02:47 PM PST Just updated my 7 Pro to the new open beta 3, and it's been fine so far. My one problem is that the brightness doesn't change instnatly, it lags behind the bar when I move it. Looks like a design choice, but I wasn't entirely sure. Most of the time when I want to charge my phone, I need to plug the cable over and over again until it will warp charge. Usually it just goes normal speed charging and then the game of plugging the cable at different angles and different forces start. It snaps into place when I plug it, so I don't know if dirt is the problem. It's been like that for months now. Did anybody encounter this problem as well? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 03 Mar 2021 08:57 AM PST I saw that Android 11 is available for my rooted OnePlus Nord and I want to update but I'm not sure if I should update as I usually do with software updates or if I need to unroot and root again when I've successfully updated or something like that. I thought it was a problem with the launcher so I tried other launchers, but they also had problems. I tried on OxygenOS 10 and 11 on the Nord. Then I tried on a phone with LineageOS 17, OneUI 2.1 and Android One 10 and none had issues. Is this an issue with my phone or is it normal? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 03 Mar 2021 02:38 PM PST I refuse to call it a bug because it simply did what OnePlus hasn't bothered to do - increase the intensity of the Night mode. This worked on bright white websites like last.fm that disabled the night mode effect and when you exited Chrome, it'd lower your brightness even further than it was before. | OnePlus 8 Pro - Black Screen, boot recovery does not work. Posted: 03 Mar 2021 01:01 AM PST I was using my phone for work today and the screen randomly turned black as I was using the phone. The phone was near full charge when the issue occurred. I could not get the screen to power back up, so I went to Google looking for answers. I found a lot of suggestions saying to try a Power + Up Volume combo to enter boot recovery, but this still won't power the screen on for me. I feel a vibration after holding the combo for about 15 seconds, but nothing past that. The phone still takes a charge, as after leaving it on charge for a while the back of the phone around the battery will be warm. I also tried the boot recovery while the phone was on charge as this was also suggested. - I have no clue what's going on, or why the phone would randomly turn off like this. The phone has no history of damage, and was working well up till this point. Anyone have any ideas before I drop some money on a new screen? [link] [comments]  | ||
