    I know WEP is old and insecure, but I need to connect my Pokemon Heart Gold game to the internet. HG only supports WEP and unsecured WiFi, since it uses DS WiFi.

    Edit: my friend found this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/create-wep-hotspot-for-ds-on-windows-10.576356/ says it's impossible. I'll keep looking, but probably best to find something else.

    Help!!! Windows 8 startup problem (unknown characters and symbols)

    Does anyone know what to do? My desktop running on Win8 shows unknown characters and symbols on login page. I accidentally deleted the Wow6432Node and the problem occurs when I restart the computer.

    Getting DirectX 11 on Windows 10

    So I just built a new computer and have a fresh install of dx12 and everything works. The issue is that I have a Nvidia gtx 760 from my previous computer while I save up for a new card. This isnt really compatible with dx12 so all of my games either crash or stutter while I play them and I havent been able to find an actual download for dx11 after rummaging around for a while. Not to mention I dont even know how to tell my computer to prefer one over the other. Would someone be able to help?

    My Lenovo Flex 5 that I bought last year (4700u with 16GB RAM, Radeon Graphics, 512 GB SSD) has not been letting me login after what seems to be a botched update where a bios update was unsuccessfully applied. I have fingerprint and a pin setup, getting the error on the login screen that "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again.", with a button below it saying "Set up my PIN". This button does not work. FYI it does ignore my correct password when I try that sign in option. Let me know if there is any fix for this, since the BIOS issues have led to me not being able to access the recovery menu to revert to the previous version, and I can't make a bootable windows drive since the only other functional computer I can access is a Mac. Thanks!

    Sorry I'm a lifelong Mac user who just switched so I feel helpless. How do I make my flash drive automatically show up on my desktop when I plug it in? I can see it and everything it just doesn't show up on desktop.

    Microphone not working properly

    Hey everyone! I need some help (again)

    I've been trying to get my earphone's microphone to work on my computer for a while but I'm failing miserably. The volume is too low (even though it is at maximum on the settings), dictation doesn't work, the quality is really bad and I can't complete the microphone set up. I'm using same earphones that I use daily with my phone and it works just fine, so I don't think they're the problem.

    According to AsRock my motherboard has an Realtek ALC887/897 Audio Codec (whatever that means), I uninstalled the drivers to try with the basic microsoft ones but the results were the same.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Windows 10 update has deleted all my photos

    Hi everyone,

    Not sure what the usual discussion is here but I thought someone might be able to help me.

    I haven't used my laptop much over the last couple of months and when I turned it on recently after i went to shut it down it said update & shut down which is pretty standard. When I logged onto my laptop today I noticed that all my photos have disappeared/got deleted. What I found strange is that all my documents etc. are still there but my photos are completely gone!

    I read a forum that this had actually happened a lot of people with the most recent update in February, so I'm just wondering if it happened any people here?

    If so, I'd love any suggestions to help recovering them if possible!!

    I Blacklisted All Programs Accidentally

    Hello, It turns out that I am part of the Nr2003 Subreddit, and I was having some problems with Freecamera, a user told me to put it in the Whitelist and I did it with gpedit.msc, but it turns out that every time I try to open a program, I I get the error that the restrictions of the program do not let it run, nor can I even open Gpedit again to edit everything. Can someone please help me? I have windows 7

    I am looking for an app or program shows me the battery level of the my connected bluetooth devices using an notification area icon. I know that Bluetooth Goodies exist, however I am looking for a clean alternative to see the battery level of my bluetooth devices without going into settings.

    What issue may arise from using a MAK Volume key?

    I bought a W10 Pro version key from Amazon.

    I received a key, used it to activate the W10 Pro license and it worked. Neat.

    I noticed it's a W10 Pro MAK Volume key. Apparently they're made for small organization and can be used several times... Is there any risk that one day this key is flagged and my license revoked? Could something worse happen?

    Is there any steps I can take to avoid this?

    How to transfer Mac photos to my new Surface?

    Possible windows update error regarding memory usage?

    I came on her to mention that I went to end task the BullGuard monitor and this seemed to max out my memory usage to 99% and everything started to heat up!

    I restarted the computer by holding down the power key and this worked but I wondered why it happened and that's when I noticed a few other posts today with maxed out memory usage for various tasks in task manager?

    Is this just coincidence or could there potentially be an issue causing a memory leak in the most recent windows update?

    why does the task manager show a higher memory percentage than how much i'm actually using?

    so i have 16gb of memory in my pc and in this screenshot i'm only using like 8-9gb yet it says i'm using 92% of memory. is this a memory leak or is this normal?

    Cannot use USB to connect iphone hotspot in windows 8

    After I installed windows 8 on boot camp partition (in Macbook Air), I cannot access internet by using USB to connect iphone hotspot. When I look up to network connection it doesn't show "local area network" and I can't find ethernet driver in device manager too. Please suggest me how to fix this problem. And how can I get wifi driver for windows 8 on boot camp partition?
