    Has anyone here done the MD 100 exam?

    I'm looking at doing this since most employers where I am now favor it over other certs for example A+. The exam from the outside looks like it won't be as hard as A+ since its only focusing on windows and not windows and other tech.

    So is the study load for MD 100 smaller then CompTIA A+?

    CompTIA Core 1 and 2. when you put them as separate study loads.

    Unable to Cloud Download / Reset

    Every time I try, it says that it was unable to download from the cloud. My internet is fine and everything and I'm unable to find any reasons why online... any help?

    I've used a Mac over the last maybe 8 years and loved it now but sadly has died. I'm thinking of getting a windows computer to save money. Anyone here have experience with the galaxy alpha laptop? Is the fan quiet? Good display? Thanks!

    PC cannot find an OS and everything I’ve done has done nothing

    I got this thing going on with my computer where it can't find an OS after extended periods of time being stuck on the logo screen. It takes a while to open bios because of it and no configuration has helped. It was working just fine until now. I'm thinking it's something wire related but I'm not certain.

    Can't type in search bar

    Recently i've been having the issue where i can't type in the windows search bar. After doing a full format and reinstalling windows it worked for a while but the problem is back. Seen some solutions online but none of them seem to work. Run the command :

    • C:\Windows\system32\ctfmon.exe

    which is supposed to fix it but nothing. Also followed some steps to run a windows repair tool which detected the issue, says it fixed it but didn't.

    Any idea on how to fix this very annoying problem? Thanks!

    Need some serious help from experts

    I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to technology but I am currently a first year graphic design uni student using a 2015 HP Pavilion 15-p222na Core i5-5200U 8GB 1TB 15.6 inch Windows 8.1 Laptop in Blue L3R34EA.

    I know it's a very old laptop but it's my sisters laptop. For years, it had my other family's data on it and recently, I decided to do a clean reset on the PC in hopes to have more space and make it run faster.

    I've been having no issues for a couple weeks but now my laptop just becomes very slow with the cursor and it just freezes randomly. It also has the black screen with the cursor issue.

    I had this anti malware program called MalwareBytes and I thought that was the issue for the laptop so I uninstalled it. That didn't seem to fix the problem

    I'm not sure what to do as I don't know that much about computer technology. I have tried to do some research and it mentions a lot of stuff about the graphics driver. I have tried to update the driver but it's on the latest one. I have tried a couple tips from YouTube but they don't seem to work was a tutorial on YouTube ( https://youtu.be/sWMKS3A_0aU)

    This video mentioned to delete the graphics driver from safe mode and reinstall it after you reset your laptop. The problem is that my laptop just freezes before I can install it again so I'm basically stuck again.

    What can I do to fix this? Should I wipe the computer again or is this laptop permanently damaged?

    i let my friend control my computer thru Team viewer, went afk and came back, he opened my system32 using cmd

    as the title says, i went afk for 5 min, just to come back and notice this, we are supposed to be collaborating on a project, i felt he wanted to delete my system32 ? or maybe he deleted some of the folders in system32, how can i check ?

    Picture viewer needed + Simple fast picture editor

    Since Windows ditched their usable picture viewer for one that is awful, I need a replacement. I would like an image viewer that does the following:

    Integrates easily into windows

    Has a pausable, full-screen slideshow mode that can be navigated

    Loops whether on slideshow or not.

    Handles a wide variety of picture formats

    Interfaces directly with the printer in easy ways.

    Having these features would allow the program to have parity with the Windows Image Viewer that Microsoft first hid when Win10 came out, then completely eliminated when the did the last forced update after saying they were going to cut off support if you didn't download it (even though they previously supported older OSes dating back many years, so not suspicious at all)

    One that has a portable version would be best, because I use them in class (I teach EFL) and I cannot use the current version, and cannot install apps on the class computers which wipe themselves clean after every reboot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Also, in case they eliminate paint completely, I'd like a photo editor that easily integrates into windows, is fast (so photoshop like apps are not appropriate here, as I HAVE photoshop anyhow), can quickly be used to crop, resize, and change the format of a file and comes with simple text integration (nothing fancy... Again, I already HAVE photoshop when I want something nicer that also just takes 1000 years to get started). Paint 3d is awful, too. Like, what were they thinking. Thank you

    Windows Controller Z Axis Help

    Hey guys, No matter how much I try or new controllers I use for some reason my Controllers Z axis in windows calibration is always off. Like its always tilting. Ive looked all over google but cant find a single solution to this problem. Please help.

    When I use the windows search bar it thinks I'm holding tab so it constantly switches through search options. A temporary fix is to simply restart my pc but as I've seen, it just starts glitching out again an hour or two later. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    My Mom has a Win98 pc. She wants to be able to play her old school games. However, the wired mouse decided to quit. I have searched for a used mouse, no luck. Had to try a usb mouse. Now the pc wants me to install a driver. Oh, now I need an original CD. Great. 30? 40? Years of accumulation and clutter. Can't find original cd. Buy a 'restore' cd off ebay. That doesn't work... $400~ for an original cd. That's more than the pc is worth.

    So. Would anyone be kind enough to mail me a cd I can use to get the usb driver installed, and I can mail it back when done? Living in Vancouver Canada area so, any help, much appreciated. Also, noob here. Please don't flame me, I'm trying my best to help my Mom.

    How can I check I’m no longer connected to a KMS server?

    So I originally activated my windows by watching this video that involved you connecting to a KMS server. I only realized what this was until after I connected and bought a real key and used that to activate because I didn't wanna be connected to some random server. Now that I used key I'm still paranoid that I'm connected still because Nothing really changed. How can I check? Ps: I use windows 10 home

    Bluetooth Disconnects

    I have an Aorus X570 Elite Wifi motherboard and when I connect a device like headphones through Bluetooth it connects and works fine then all of a sudden cuts out. I just open Bluetooth settings and it starts to work again. I don't even mess with the settings, I just open them. Is there a way to fix this? I already updated drivers.

    Is it possible to use Windows Auto correct with my hardware keyboard for only certain words?

    • I don't want auto correct to effect every word

    Is it possible to create a list of words that I want auto correct to work on, for example if type tbc I want it to correct to TBC. I don't want it to change words like for example if I type, "ibternet" I don't want it to correct to internet, it should only effect the words in my list..

    Is something like this possible without that annoying text suggestion box popping up every time I type a word?
