| Windows update giving me constant bluescreens, and worse. Help Posted: 30 Mar 2021 02:01 PM PDT So I decided updating windows after bugging me about it for a solid 3 weeks, and before the update, everything was fine. I had 144hz compatibility, and all the good stuff. Now, post-update, windows removed nvidia control panel, I can no longer use 144hz, when I try to use Google Chrome (and everything else) if I open more than 5-7 tabs (I've gotten in trouble countless times because of this since I'm an online student), I get a bsod, windows won't detect my gpu (gtx 1060 3gb), and I can't check in device manager because it tells me that I dont have permissions to open it and big text saying "mmc.exe". And when I tried updating my drivers through geforce experience, it tells me the package is corrupt. My c drive still has a bit over 20 gigs of space left. I can remove my drivers from the add/remove programs thing and with ddu, but when I try installing it directly from the nvidia website, i get an error when I try to open talking about 7zip having a CRC error. What happened to my computer? Please help. BSOD errors have ranged from "FAST_ERESOURCE_PRECONDITION_VIOLATION" to "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" to even "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE". I have also tried reinstalling Windows via the Windows media creation tool, but that didn't work, just giving me this. "0x8007025D - 0x2000C The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation." Then, I tried running the sfc/scannow command and it kept getting stuck for hours. Please, someone tell me what is happening to my PC. I don't know what went awry as I've updated windows tons of times before with no issue at all, but this is horrible. Help :( [link] [comments]  |

When I open Maya 2020 I get notified that color management is unavailable: working_space menu selection is not available: scene-linear Rec 709/sRGB as a result I can't use UV editor. | My mom's Motorola X4 keeps crashing and then getting stuck on blue boot screen Posted: 30 Mar 2021 04:24 AM PDT The only way we've managed to turn it back on after it does this is to manually reboot from the boot menu. Nothing else has worked. It takes forever to fix, so we would appreciate some suggestions on how to prevent this from happening. It mainly happens when my mom is playing a few specific games on her phone, "Chumba Casino", but it happens other times too. Her phone is on Android version 9. If anyone has any questions, feel free to comment with what whatever info you need and I'll ask my mom for it. Her phones says it's up to date. Also, factory reset is NOT an option. It's just not. | No text alerts for only one person Posted: 30 Mar 2021 11:04 AM PDT For the past week I haven't received any notifications for incoming iMessages from one specific person. I turned off hide alerts, the number is not blocked, I deleted the contact and made a new one again (even without a contact I still didn't get notifications), and the weirdest thing is that my Mac isn't getting notifications for that person either. I am still able to text them as normal by manually checking the text thread but its becoming an issue. any recommendations? BTW I was on IOS 14.5 Public Beta but then I unenrolled. It seems like after that the issue started. However since I have reenrolled and gone through the process with no success. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 30 Mar 2021 06:26 AM PDT The phone still works. I could hear the charging sound and feel the vibration when I press a number in the lock screen. The bootup logo shows when I force restart it, but the screen does not show anything after booting it up. I also have always display on, and it is no longer showing. This happens while i am playing Forza Horizon 4, Serious Sam 4 (don't even launches), DOOM 2016 and Rainbow Six Siege. I have uninstalled my old GPU driver with DDU and installed the latest driver. I finally found a driver, but couldn't get it to install as far as I can tell. I don't see a .exe file in the file folder. I couldn't find anything about it on Google or Broadcom's Website. | Posted: 29 Mar 2021 02:55 PM PDT Basically my current setup is a laptop that is connected to both a vga crt monitor and an hdtv through hdmi. I have a second computer that I just got recently that I want to use. However, it doesn't have an hdmi port, it only has a vga port and a display port and the hdtv only has ports for vga and hdmi. I don't use both the monitor and hdtv at the same time as the built in laptop screen displays the same resolution as the hdtv. I normally use the screen and hdtv together and switch to either just the monitor or the hdtv when I play games. As I am buying these for games, my only concern would be input lag caused by the switcher/adapter, I don't really care if one is more expensive than the other. [link] [comments]  |

| PC suddenly freezing/slowing down Posted: 29 Mar 2021 05:57 PM PDT So, for the past few days, my PC Suddenly became ridiculously slow, simple processes like copy/pasting files in explorer or just launching Steam causes the window to grey out with "(Not Responding)", games are loading ridiculously slow, and any game I launch freezes (such as Hearts of Iron IV, which doesn't take that much processing power to run afaik). Looking at my CPU usage and temperature it doesn't look like my computer is overheating, and I already ran chkdsk, did a check on the memory, and a full virus scan with no issues found. I should clarify I know next to nothing about computer maintenance, so if I'm missing something obvious or my previous attempts to find out what's wrong were barking up the completely wrong tree I apologize. | Powershell/CMD script (544 lines) Is it a virus? Posted: 29 Mar 2021 03:43 PM PDT Can someone please look through this, and give me a opinion if this file could cause any malicious harm to my PC? Its a autoclicker. I went through it (quickly) and saw nothing malicious that would cause for my concern. But I still would appreciate if someone else would look through a bit. I don't know the capabilities of what Powershell can do (with viruses, or downloading and executing something like a crypto miner or rat in the background etc.) Might sound ignorant, but I would appreciate a second look from someone.
