    1. Apple iPhone 11 - 64.8 million
    2. Apple iPhone SE 2020 - 24.2 million
    3. Apple iPhone 12 - 23.3 million
    4. Samsung Galaxy A51 - 23.2 million
    5. Samsung Galaxy A21s - 19.4 million
    6. Samsung Galaxy A01 - 16.9 million
    7. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max - 16.8 million
    8. Samsung Galaxy A11 - 15.3 million
    9. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro - 15.0 million
    10. Apple iPhone 12 mini - 14.5 million

One reason why Galaxy A51 gets fast software updates, almost as fast as Samsung flagships. Hoping the A52 will also be a hit this year, as per rumors it has Snapdragon 720G/750G for its 4G/5G variant, 90Hz (4G variant) / 120Hz (5G variant) refresh rate + water and dust resistance.

    About this subs current status

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 08:52 PM PST

Im sorry, but ever since the mods changed the rules for this sub its become much more boring. A couple of weeks ago i used to love seeing what people would post about their products and their feelings towards samsung, now this sub is just news updates. Although it is nice, it feels much colder than it was before, it used to feel like a community but now i fear that it feels more like a corporate meeting, bland and boring.

Thank you for reading my TED talk.

S21 vs Note S20 vs S21 Note ultra

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 05:09 AM PST

I'm looking at the S21 for $500 and the S20 Note Ultra at $899 through Google Fi and the S21 Ultra for $900 I would consider other options but at $400 for the S20 it isnt a big enough price drop to not get the S21.

I really appreciate my sim slot in my S9+ so the Note is a draw. I don't see myself using the stylus in with the 21 Ultra but like that perk for the note.

The pricing of the basic S21 is it's only draw for me.

The cameras are definitely what I get excited about, as I take a lot of nature photography and photograph my cooking, paintings and other artwork.

Thoughts are appreciated. Maybe talk me down from the more expensive ones. I don't like spending but I also don't pay for many subscription services and am pretty into minimalism.

    Help me! I'm indecisive!

I sued Samsung over false advertising and misrepresentation of eSIM....and won

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 09:54 AM PST

I bought the Z Fold 2 on launch and reached out to Samsung regarding the eSIM. They told me that it was going to be available via a patch later. On Sept 23rd/24th they released the eSIM patch but not for the US version of the Z Fold 2; I reached out to Samsung again and was told a patch was still coming. Doing a bit a of research I saw that the original Fold was told the same thing and over a year later still didn't have the eSIM enabled in the US.

I reached out to the Office of the President for Samsung asking for some form of resolution regarding this for my Z Fold 2, as I needed the eSIM capabilities. This was a big selling point for me due to using two phones at the time (work and personal) and expecting to only use one with the eSIM and a physical SIM (like my previous phones could from Apple and Google). Samsung blatantly told me "no" and that there was nothing I could do.

I filed a suit in small claims against Samsung that day.

Fast forward a bit and the day of the case the judge agrees with me. I was honestly surprised that Samsung took time the time and energy to have representation at the trial but after it was all said and done, the judge agreed that Samsung had misrepresented the eSIM capabilities of the phone even with the disclaimers on the bottom; as the phone could not use eSIM in any way or form on the US advertised model on their website.

Originally their counsel had sent notice that they were intended to possibly appeal but then reversed course and agreed to refund the cost of the phone and consider the judgement as fulfilled.

    S21 Ultra Pre-Order (Jan 25)

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 05:18 AM PST

Any suggestion on this would be appreciated.

Basically, ordered my phone on Jan 25. Then no changes until Feb 23 where I got the email saying my phone is being made for me, and to allow 5 weeks... and so far, nothing has changed from order placed (Silicone S pen case, Buds pro, Tag, and the phone).

Question on returning/exchanging an s21 ultra

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:33 AM PST

Tldr: will samsung charge instant credit received if I return a device within the 15 day return window?

Okay guys, so before I call Samsung figured I'd ask in here. I pre-ordered an s21 ultra and used the $250.00 instant credit to go towards an s7+ tab for my wife. She loves the tab and wants to keep it.

The s21 ultra just arrived and, although it's an amazing piece of tech, it's just a bit too big and I feel like it's more than I need (I know, my fault). I'm not trying to be super picky but just want to know my options.

Im within the 15 day return period so no issues there. But if I flat out return the phone, will I be charged the $250.00 instant credit received for the tab? There was also a steep discount on the tab of about $400 I believe, will that be impacted?

Another option is for me to exchange for an s21. Same size and less weight than my current phone so I'm sure I will be happy with that. Same thing, do you think the instant credit will be owed or at least reduce to what it would have been if I originally got the s21?

I am not trying to take advantage of the situation and I'm sure this has come up before with Samsung. My concern is calling and not getting someone helpful ok the matter - as I called last week to track an order and didn't get the most helpful customer service. Any advice appreciated!

    Just a horribly short rant

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:25 AM PST

Hey humans and tech nerds alike. Just a quick rant here. Is anyone else finding it damn near impossible and headache inducing trying to find the note 10+ 512gb? Samsung's website has been out of stock on basically everything for weeks and all I need is a goddang new phone. I know people in the comments will jump at the note 20 ultra and I'm just not willing to shell out a thousand for it, as I dont have an eligible phone to trade in(Hi, motorola user but wanna switch to samsung).

    Mods, Please Bring Back Photos.

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:13 AM PST

Please. Not only I do not want to interact with this sub, the sub is extremely boring now. It's not fun, everything feels overly OFFICIAL and it turned off a lot of people who were hype about Samsung, the products, wanted to share, etc. Like we as a community do not CARE if r/apple or r/android is taken more seriously or has a bigger user base compared to this sub.

Let us share with each other again PLEASE this is so BORING. I want to leave this sub so bad because it took away the fun. I hate seeing text post, over and over and over again. Who cares if the photos are repetitive, who cares if it feels like we are disorganized. PLEASE let us share photos again, we can't even do Meme Monday anymore.

PS: I DON'T CARE ABOUT IMAGUR I REALLY DON'T. TOO MANY STEPS FOR MY BRAIN. PLEASE I DON'T CARE.

Missing Settings? GPS Only Mode, S20 Android 11

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:01 AM PST

On my S8, I had a setting under Location to make my phone ignore internet for GPS locations because it was highly inaccurate trying to guess your location by an IP address which is always 3 states away because of how the internet works.

I live in an area that has 22-25 GPS satellites in range, which means I only need GPS and nothing else to get my location. However, I can no longer find the setting to set my location scanner to check only for GPS satellites. So when my net is slow, or I'm downloading something, it starts to become wildly inaccurate and think I'm 3 states away from where I actually am.

How the hell do I stop it from pulling useless location information from the internet and just check the satellites in range?

Why the hell do they pull information from the local IP addresses you're connected to? An IP address is always the IP of the internet hub you use. So if you connect to home internet, and your service provider's main hub is in Texas, your IP address will be Texas even if you live in another state, therefor GPS will say "Texas!". Quite the useless bit of information.

I don't get how downloading something decreases the accuracy either. Its not like downloads are interfering with the GPS satellite network. Totally different signals in the first place.

Why the hell would they remove the options in the first place.

    Samsung TV Terrible Sound Control!

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 05:08 AM PST

So I just picked up a 65" Q80T, and I am really enjoying it. However, the sound control that Tizen gives you is atrocious. This is the first TV I've seen in a decade that doesn't have a night/amplify-voice mode, they do give you the full EQ- but then disable it in game mode! What a trash sound design.

The quality from the speakers does blow me away, unfortunately I don't see how it isn't going to blow away my neighbors too. I absolutely love the display, but this is a huge miss on their part. My $550 TCL from five years ago had better audio control than this.

Are there any tweaks or anything I'm missing? Any way to get EQ back on in game mode? Am I the only one with this issue, lol.

Extending Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Battery Life?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 10:46 PM PST

Hello, I've had my Book Flex since August of 2020. I bought it for the 2 in 1 feature as I am a student, however I noticed that the battery life isn't all that great for an expensive laptop (I have the 15 inch version). I average about 6 hours with Better Performance.

Although I do have a couple of heavy games on it like GTA V, battery life is still the same even before I downloaded those games. I don't play games on it anymore, but I do some web browsing and I do have several tabs open for homework and stuff. Recently I just have it hooked up to my tv with the charger plugged in, so I didn't have to worry about battery life. Butt I've been thinking of carrying it with me and I'm worried about how fast the battery will drain.

I don't know if there's a solution as I've read some reviews online and one of the pro's of this laptop was it's "long" battery life. I love this laptop a lot too so I don't want to have to get rid of it. Any ideas of what I should do?

S20 FE Google wired headset notification when plugging in USB-C audio cable (and music starts)

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 02:43 AM PST

I've got an S20 FE and bought an USB-C audio cable to listen to music in my car.

Problem is, every time I plug it in I receive a Google notification that says something like Wired headset in use or something like that—which is pretty annoying—and as soon as I plug it in a random app starts playing music (it can either be PowerAmp, Spotify, or YouTube Music).

Both issues drive me crazy. Is there a way to solve them? I may try a workaround with Tasker, but I'd deal with that natively.

I want to switch to Samsung but don’t know how to go about it

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 08:10 PM PST

So I have been an Apple user for many years. I've had a couple of very slow low end Samsung's in between but always ended up using apple. I have an I phone 11 and I've had it for almost a year. It's a great phone don't get me wrong! But I just really don't like Apple so much. Also the battery health is already down to 84% which is disappointing.... Anyways, I've been wanting to get the Samsung galaxy s20 fe 5G. I live in Australia so if I get the non 5G model the chipset would be exynos instead of snapdragon which I really don't want. But I am logged into everything on here for my jobs social media (I am Incharge of the social media), and I really don't want to ask for the password again because I have lost it a few times now. So it would be less stressful to keep this phone to do all of that with and not lose all my logins. But I am also locked into a plan for the next few months. There's only a little remaining and I have saved up enough money to pay off that price to get the Samsung s20 fe5G under a new plan. And now that I have a job, I told my Mum I can pay her monthly in cash without fail, for the cost of the plan each month. But she doesn't really like the idea of it. Also another reason I want to switch to Samsung is because of the customisation of it. And the much much better display and storage. I skate all the time and record so many clips and I only have 64gb so it runs out super fast. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can convince my Mum to let me change plans please? Thanks!:)
