Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:27 PM PST Hello, hope this is the right sub to ask this question, I'm trying to install some apps that aren't on google play, but I don't have any option to do it. I already gave permission to mozzilla firefox, chrome, the file explorer app I have to install, but when I try install this app the menu always shows other apps but not an option to install the apk package I have. | I can't figure out how to move apps to my SD card, please help Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:52 PM PST I have a Motorola g7 power and I've been having issues with my internal storage being full. I have an SD card with plenty of space, but the only thing taking up space in my internal storage is my apps. I've tried going to apps & notifications to view my apps but there is no option to move them to my SD card. I also went into the storage tab and it was the same thing. Also, 12GB of my internal storage is being taken up by my phone's system files. That seems like a lot, is there a way to lower that? Idk if I'm missing something here. [link] [comments]  |

Mainly because androids make sense and are very user friendly. UNTIL NOW. I have an issue with notifications I get,mainly text messages or signal messages, where I will swipe down on the notification and then it creates a small screen in the middle of my phone. If I tap on the top of said smaller screen it lets me make it full size. But I cannot for the life of me find the setting to not even allow that tiny screen to happen! It's like I'm scrolling twitter, get a text, swipe down from the top of my phone and then the best appears in the middle of my screen, over twitter, and half the size of my phone screen. Like split screen except not split in half. It is very annoying and I can't make it stop. Context- I have an S20 5G and software is 11 (they could have made 10 better... | Can't get rid of FRP even after using Odin to flash it. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:09 AM PST A relative of my mine gave me a Galaxy Tab E tablet, model number SM-T377A, that someone bought off of someone else. The only problem is the previous owner didn't remove their Google account, and now it's locked up. I've done a lot of research, but it seems that there really isn't anything I can do about it. Most of the usual tricks have been patched out, and while I can get 7.1 to install, I can not however get 6.0 to install even when using an older version of Odin. I do got the .pit file on hand, and tried to erase the nand, but that didn't do any good either. Did try this post as well, but that didn't do anything either. Tried to use Frija, but since it doesn't do ATT, there isn't anything to be done about that as acquiring the firmware goes. FRP Hijacker didn't do anything for me, and neither did SamsungFrp2020. I'm running out of ideas of stuff to try, so if any help is available, please let me know. EDIT: I rediscovered where the firmware I was using was coming from...turns out it was stock 7.1 firmware. I tried looking up a combination file, but all the one's I found were 6.0...it's not going to work. Additionally it turns out that while I can use FRP Hijacker to insert a ADB enabled firmware into the stock firmware that I was using. Only problem? ADB isn't enabled during the normal boot sequence, so in order to get into it, I have to put the device into recovery mode, and choose the run update from ADB that way. Unfortunately, while the device is now recognized by ADB, I can't really do anything with it, as I keep getting an connect error for write: closed message whenever I try to inject an .apk file, which means you might as well forget about doing a frp removal this way as well, although yes...I did give it a try of course. :P [link] [comments]  |

The first files that got corrupted got back to their normal state after a while, so I thought it was normal for a 4 year old phone(Samsung J7 Prime) so I ignored it. But after like a weeks, whenever I move any images ,videos, and even apps to my sd card they get corrupted. Some images survives whenever I try to move into the sd card. And whenever I take a pic on my phone it gets corrupted too. Is there like a problem with my sd card or does it have a virus tho? [link] [comments]  |

It's kind of annoying to turn on hotspot mode every time I get in the car, and was wondering how much battery life would be impacted if I just left hotspot mode on. I'm guessing the phone would be broadcasting the SSID all the time, but with no data actually going back and forth, will it affect battery life much? [link] [comments]  |
| Question about Google Play Payment Info Security with App Developers Posted: 24 Feb 2021 06:58 PM PST Hi Everyone, If I use google play to sign up for a free trial subscription to upgraded services within an app, which requires me to put in a credit card on google play, does the app developer get to see the name, address, etc from that credit card? I know that it "tokenizes" the credit card number itself, but I'm trying to figure out if the app/app developer ever gets access to the actual name from the credit card used. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 04:58 PM PST I can't remember my password for my old S6, I found it again today, and there's pictures on there from my wedding and of the first few months of my first kids life. I tried the Android Device Manager, but we moved since I had that phone so I have a new internet connection and I can't connect it to the internet until I can log in, so that method doesn't work. And I don't want to do a hard reset because the entire reason I want to access the phone is because of the pictures on it, if it wasn't for those I really wouldn't care to access again. I'm not sure what version of Android it has, but the phone I had after it was an S8 that I got a few months after it became the flagship phone, so it's likely that it's whatever version came out with or just after the S8. | Posted: 24 Feb 2021 04:15 PM PST Last night I left my phone on to play music, it was plugged in and charging the entire time. Today when I tried opening my games to do dailies there are a variety of errors from an app "opening" but immediately giving me the "Unfortunately, (App) has stopped." to not opening at all, and opening, but immediately giving me an error "Not enough storage space to install..." Even though I should have over 10 gigs free. My best guess is that my SD card is bugging in some way, possibly corrupted, but I don't know what could have caused this, since most of the apps effected are those that were using space on my sd card. I've tried restarting, both by fully turning off and back on and just restarting, and I was able to get an app that currently crashes to work perfectly by immediately opening as soon as I could, but I haven't been able to get it to work again. I tried clearing cache and data of an effected app, and neither worked, then I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but I now also can't install apps, I just get a generic can't install the app, not too little space or anything else. For context as to possible issues, a while ago I manually integrated my sd card as internal storage, and its been that way for years with no issues, and I had issues with the sd card and sim card tray getting broken, it was fixed, but in order to open it I need to go to a professional who can fully open up my phone, so right now I can't manually try physically checking my sd card, but I feel like that shouldn't be an issue, because its not like my phone was dropped or anything. I am able to go into file manager and see everything on my sd cards file system, but for some reason internal storage won't show up. When I try to tap sd card settings in file manager the app crashes. The sd card shoud also be 64 gigs, and thats what shows up in settings, but in file manager it only shows a max of 62.84, which I know if that could be normal with the missing being designated to os or something. Some other funky things to list: Sd card is listed in settings as having 50+ gigs set for apps, but when I look closer it only lists 4 apps for a total of maybe a gig. When I restart it for a brief moment shows me an sd card couldn't be read error banner notif, before it loads for a second and it goes away, I've also seen it before and never had issues over it. Sd card has a section in storage called "Other" that is taking up -0.66 gigs, which is something. As far as I can tell the directories for the apps seem to be intact, I can go through all of the accessible folders without issue, though I can't see everything because I'm not rooted. No other data seems to be effected; all photos, which I almost exclusively store on sd seem to be fine. If I specifically go to an app's data from the home screen by holding on an app it'll say it takes up multiple gigs, but when I go to general app info, where it shows all apps most only shows 10+ mb. I would prefer to avoid doing anything that could lose data, because I fear some games' data might be unrecoverable if I uninstall it or mess with the SD card. No recent downloads of anything other than apps/updates from the play store, no recent drops, overheats, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as would any info if there is an easy way to check for corrupted data on an android or anything else. My biggest question is what even happened, and why, because this isn't the first time I've left my phone on overnight plugged in, and in the past I've accidently left it under a pillow, causing it to heat up too much, with no noticeable issues, and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable catalyst for these issues. Edit: Ram usage on my phone also seems abnormally high, its at 3.24/4 with nothing running, where as even when I have a game running it usually seems to cap out around 3gb. And to clarify all other normal functions of my phone seem to work 100% fine, only apps like my games and other large apps, which I installed on my SD card, stopped working. [link] [comments]  |
