| Impossible to disable the 45-degree assistant gesture Posted: 31 Jan 2021 03:53 PM PST I just bought a Nord 10 5g, and while I'm coming around to liking gestures over the three-button menu, I hate the assistant gesture with a passion - triggering at inopportune times or not triggering consistently when I do want to use it. I'd rather not have the gesture activate anything at all, to the point that I'm going to give up using the assistant entirely. However, under Is there ANY way to force this gesture to cease existing, or some app I can install and select as my assistant that will do absolutely nothing? [link] [comments]  | ||

I haven't had issues with WiFi calling in the past and think the issue is with OOS 11.0.2.2.IN11AA. I have already reset my phone and used MSM to flash back to stock. Occasionally I will see WiFi calling in the status bar, but it eventually goes away. Has anyone else had issues with WiFi calling on 11.0.2.2.IN11AA? I didn't find much online. Thanks! Posted: 31 Jan 2021 11:24 AM PST I've already gotten fed up with seeing the Carrier hub notification at totally random times and disabled it through ADB. Does anyone know what other apps I can nuke and still receive OTA's? I've also got AutoHz (Auto90 previously) set up and running great. I'm quite happy with Vanced and the stock camera... But does anyone happen to know if there is a Gcam port that works? Or really any other system level tweaks? LADB is freaking awesome, if not temperamental on whether it'll work when I want it to. I've also got Tasker cleared and ready for some action. Anyone know a method to enable swiping the fingerprint scanner to open the Notification bar? Greatly appreciate any and all assistance! | Sometimes Fingerprint Ocon Does Not Show Up on 6T Posted: 31 Jan 2021 04:04 PM PST I have the T-Mobile variant of the 6T and I'm on the latest update. I noticed, in the last few months, that the Fingerprint Sensor icon doesn't show up like 15% of the time now. I use apps like Mint, stock apps, and 1password daily that require a password to use so it gets pretty annoying. I also noticed certain situations where the Fingerprint Sensor icon will show up, but it's dimmed out so putting my finger on it doesn't make it light up and the phone doesn't register that I put my finger on it at all. I did ask 1password about this and they told me:

| Posted: 31 Jan 2021 04:02 PM PST I don't know if this is a oneplus issue, but here it goes. My mic works when doing a voice search on YouTube or use it as an input method when using gboard... BUT. Google voice search nor google assistant can hear my voice, it starts up normaly, but can't pick up on my voice. I've obviously restarted my device, updated it and checked Google's mic permissions (which is on). I just did an update on my phone, but the problem still persists. I've got a oneplus 8. Any clues? | Oneplus 8 loses hdmi support after oxygen OS update. Posted: 31 Jan 2021 04:38 AM PST Hi guys. I'm on a US, Verizon, OnePlus 8. Last Wednesday my phone recieved the oxygen OS / Android 11 update. Its really a fantastic update, but I do have one gripe: It appears HDMI support is now disabled. For more than 10 months I have been able to connect my phone to my TV via USB C to HDMI connector. This appears to no longer be possible. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a new setting I need to toggle? Or has oneplus disabled this functionality like Google did with the Pixel 4? | Posted: 30 Jan 2021 11:24 PM PST I upgraded from the OnePlus 3T to the OnePlus 8 in November 2020 after my 3T decided to go for a swim with me. Despite having the 3T since it launched, it has been performing exceptionally well. When I got my new OnePlus 8, I went in expecting the same standard set by my 3T. Oneplus 8 8GB RAM+128GB Internal storage Android 11 Oxygen OS 11.0.2.2 However, I was met with was constant System UI freezing while doing the most trivial of tasks. Cycle through Recent apps> UI freezes Close an app and open the app draw> UI freezes For a phone with the hardware this boasts, the software is clearly not optimized. This may well be the last OnePlus device I purchase. Most recently, with the update of the Gallery app to version 4.0.130 I have noted that attempting to edit an image causes the app to lag or crash entirely, this is really unacceptable. Contacting technical support via the website has led to their solution of factory resetting the device to no avail. Despite seeing multiple Reddit posts detailing the same issues, it would appear that no fixes have been issued. It would definitely be great for any kind of update to be given on this issue. When I go into my contacts list, at the top is my own name with "ME" next to it, and when I click on it, it gives me "My card" and "Emergency" tabs that I can edit. My mum recently got a OnePlus 8T. How do I get her name/info to appear at the top of her contacts list, like mine does on my 7 Pro? It's been a long time since I set my phone up, but I really can't remember how to do it! Thanks! | PSA: Wireless Controller Issues With Android 11 Posted: 31 Jan 2021 05:26 AM PST I recently installed the Android 11 beta for the 7 Pro when I came across a post about wireless controllers not working in apps on Android 11. I've tested a PS4 controller with Google Stadia and CoD Mobile on both my phone and tablet (both running 11) and both had issues - CoD wouldn't register a controller at all and Stadia would only recognise some buttons. On Android 10, there were no problems. When I tried an emulator (with manual button mapping) and that worked fine. | How to resolve Oneplus 5t storage(?) issues? Posted: 31 Jan 2021 09:45 AM PST I'm not even sure how to search for tips on this problem. Phone is OP5t with latest OxygenOS, and I think the issues started with the latest update (A5010_43_201029). It's all fine for one or two days after rebooting, then out of the blue:
The latest attempt at resolving these issues was a factory reset (while keeping my data), but phone still behaves the same. A reboot usually resolves everything, but I shouldn't have to reboot my phone every other day. Curiously, as of writing this, all described issues have resolved on their own. A couple of moments ago, the alarm clock claimed it has set an alarm and everything else began working properly again. I have no idea what is going on. Any hints on how I could debug/resolve this? I have IN2013 model with latest 11.0.2.2.IN21AA version Recently it stopped working in one of my cars (volvo) and continued to work in second (skoda). My another phone (samsung) works in both cars. I have replaced cables between cars. Made factory reset in volvo, reset and reinstalled android auto, and google play, enabled usb debugging, set default usb mode to midi, and played with video resolution option in android auto developer settings. Nothing helped. OP8 connected once to Vovlo and stopped connecting again - suggesting to switch do different usb port. Another usb port in Volvo is just charing port - and I played with it also - hopping that switching back and forth will help... It did not... What is interesting is that when I have connected to AAuto enabled usb - I even did not saw usb debugging, nor prompt to change USB mode... I have remembered that issues appeared when I started to use at night the original fast charger. (before that I used old regular charger with long cable). I stopped using at night fast charger and reverted to old one. After one or 2 days of full charging - Android auto in Vovlo started working. May be it is bad usb port in my phone (then why it works 100% reliably in skoda??). I do not know. But this is my story. Hope it will help you... [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 30 Jan 2021 08:37 PM PST I have a 1+ 8t, only had it for a few months. I use Textra as my default SMS. My texts are coming in with a 10-25 minute delay. I've tried restarting the phone, I've tried resetting my network settings, I've tried switching to the default SMS app, I tried clearing the cache ( which worked for about... 2hrs before the delay came back) I'm getting a bunch of mixed answers online and it's making it incredibly difficult to 1.
