    Is there a way to tell where a folder / file came from after moving it?

    I've been moving, copying, deleting, and reorganizing files around my computer all day. I accidentally moved a folder I was trying to make a backup of, without realizing it. Now here I am, I have a folder in front of me, but I want to put it back where I got it. But I don't know where I got it from. Is there a way to look at the properties of a folder or a file and see where it was?

    Apple Airpods keep disconnecting?

    I have bluetooth on my PC via wireless adapter, and connected my Apple Airpods with bluetooth and successfully linked to my windows 10 computer. If I play a video, the sound is perfect and works, however at times just stops playing the audio. After a bit the sound returns and this continues. Anyone had this issue and solved it?

    my pc is much slower with game HELP!

    i have a hp amd laptop, i was on windows 10 then downgraded to windows 7 then games were much slower, it used to be 20 - 30 fps now its like 3 fps, then i upgraded to windows 8.1 and the problem is this here, please help me ):

    Windows 7 Help old business laptops

    So my sister has two Dell Latitude laptops that she used to use for work. They were given to her by work and have since been replaced. She doesn't have any of the login details and doesn't really want to remind her business that she's still got them. She asked me to try and reset them so my niece and nephew can use them for remote lessons but I can't figure out how to factory reset. I've tried safe mode, advanced recovery, super admin, shift restart but nothing seems to work.

    Its a bit odd because I can get to safemode on one of them but not the other but even then, I'm stuck at a password login screen. I've managed to get into recovery options thinking ill just factory reset but I can't find any option to factory reset. They don't even have a system restore point set. Am I just going to have to download a Windows install and copy it to USB and basically reinstall Windows over the current versions??

    Is win10 license key is all needed to reinstall win10 incase I install any other os?

    I'm planning to turn my laptop from win10 to ubuntu for educational purposes. I have recieved the license key for the win 10 os from accessing the powershell. Incase in the near future if I wanted to reinstall the win10 os, will I need something else other than the license key or just the key is ok?

    So this started a few days ago. When I'm on google chrome in windows 10 pro, the right click menu will start flashing in the top left corner of the window, accompanied by an occasional *BOOP BOOP BOOP BOOP BOOP BOOP BOOP* in my headphones. This menu will keep flashing on whatever application I'm on, I can't access the windows menu or click on/type anything, and I have to wait until it quits to do anything because the computer is reading the flashing menu as an input so I cant force shut down my computer. I have no idea why this is happening and cant find anyone with the same issue. Thanks!

    Wanna switch up from 1909 to 20H2

    Hi ! I wanna do the upgrade of my laptop (HP laptop, I7-8550u, Nvidia mx130, RAM:8G@2400mhz, 1to HDD from toshiba @ 5400rpm/s) from windows 1909 (Build 18363.1256) to the version 20H2 (Windows update told me that the update is aviable for my laptop, still doesnt downloaded it)

    I am asking here because i need to know if there's a performance impact when I will update (Record OBS 1280x720@1500mbps, CBR, QuickSyncH.264), get ~190fps on minecraft 1.8.9 (Using lunar client, just in case this could change things. Fullscreen not windowed, 1368x768) and ~220~240fps on Geometry dash (High, windowed, 1280x720). So do i will get a performance drop or something like that when i update to the lastest version ?

    EDIT ! : I use my Nvidia, gpu for games, ik how to set it up, the quicksync is the encoding engine from the processor, not the main processor, but the intel uhd graphics 620

    File Explorer searching help.

    So for an example, I want to search for all files in a folder that contain the word "Icon" in the title,
    All files that start with the word "Icon-" show up just fine, but other files such as "AfterIcon" do not.
    How do I make it so all files that contain the search word show up?

    eg. https://prnt.sc/xxxmq5 https://prnt.sc/xxxryi

    noob switching between Windows 10 & 8 systems?

    hi! Mac user and total noob here re Windows, I bought a used Lenovo W530 with a single Kingston SSD (seemed like a good deal?) to run some PC software and things.

    It apparently came loaded with both Windows 10 and Windows 8, how does one open the Windows 8 OS from start up or otherwise? Just asking to be able to run some older disks on it, not to surf the web or stuff like that. If Windows 8 is deleted is it hard to recover from trash?

    (I have other questions but I'll ask 1 at a time for now)

    Help copying data from one drive to another

    One of my drives is on the way out (HDD) and I just bought a new HDD that arrives soon, Im looking to copy all the data from the old hdd onto my new hdd once it arrives. The catch is I only have 2 sata cables, One for my OS drive (SSD) and one for the drive that is currently plugged in (HDD), is there any way to go about this? (roughly 300gb of data)

    I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my old laptop with linux 20.10 on, but this screen comes up ad say that the file "vmbus.sys" is corrupted or missing. What i need to do? I've done recently a disk check with erase all datas.

    DPI in scanners / WIA scanner dpi options

    Can anybody let me know all the DPI options for scanners and WIA.

    I know that in WIA 300dpi is default vertical and horizontal pixel density. I cant find the other options by googling.

    Also what is the property 'Quality' ?

    So I upped the mouse pointer speed in my settings cause it feels like I'm dragging it through cement when I use it. But everytime I shut down, then come back to my pc, the setting resets back to the original... How can I make it so the setting remains the same whenever I boot up?

    How can I download a pdf file as a pdf file

    Weird title I know; but everytime I try to download a pdf as an actual pdf file, it saves the file as a Chrome HTML Document. It's really annoying and since I don't know that much about computers I really need some help. Don't even know if this is the right subreddit to ask haha.

    So I want to migrate windows 10 into another hard drive. I have done the migration using easeus partition master but I want to know for sure it works before formatting the first drive. Now when windows boots I have no idea which hard drive it uses as it gives me no option of choosing. Thanks in advance.

    How do I change the default volume on an app in Windows 10 Pro?

    I have a game that I'm running, and every time I open it it starts off at a volume level of 2 out of 100. I can alt-tab out and go into sound settings to fix it, but it's annoying, and I'd just rather solve it. It didn't always do this. What am I doing wrong?

    Windows 10 recovery help

    I'm trying to fix my aunt's laptop, it won't start and will just go to the recovery options. I have tried to use restore points to fix it but the just corrupted the restore point, It failed using a install disk, and it won't let me factory reset it. Any ideas on what happened and how I can fix it

    i missed up and need help

    i was edited some registry and i accidentally changed the default value of the. exe extinction and now i can not even log to regedit or cmd to fix it ps previous version, system restore and advance reboot sfc scan didn't work thoughts......
